This makes playing a complete slog as your forced to level up constantly, it got to a point where even type advantages were useless. When I’m in battle I feel like my characters who doc supposedly 1000s of damage bolstered with an advantage in typing do nothing but give a slight paper cut to the enemy 20-10+ levels BELOW me. How does that even work..?? Most likely intentional to force long arduous hours of grinding for playtime. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is it constantly crashes. Especially when I try to access the fleet. I really hope that the developers can get this problem addressed cause I’d really like to play it without constantly reloading the game. ### 3/5 — Great game but crashes often *2022-09-17, version 1.0.4* Great game but why does it crash so often? It has been crashing almost every time I play it since I download this game 2 months ago. Usually it crashes after a battle is finished when playing the main story. And it crashes if I navigate the AG lists and equipment lists too often. It appears to crash due to lack of memory after showing lot of UI graphics, meaning there is a memory leak somewhere… Also it crashes instantly when changing AG in mothership. ### 3/5 — I like it, but I would not recommend it. *2022-08-26, version 1.0.4* I’ll start by saying the art direction in this game is phenomenal. All of the character and background art is very high quality. The combat, while somewhat simple, is engaging enough to require some strategy at higher difficulty. The world building and character backstories are interesting. The ability to auto sweep missions while the game is closed is also a big plus. With all of that said, I can’t recommend playing it. The major issue is that the game feels very stingy with its resources. Rolling for units is expensive, and the chances for 4 and 5 star units feel very low. The pity system feels designed to maximize FOMO while minimizing your ability to participate. The unit equipment system is interesting, but nearly impossible to get useful items. The energy system is very restrictive, even with the free energy consumables it hands out every day. In short, I thinks it is a great game. But it does not feel like it respects my time and money. We will continue to optimize the game to bring you a better gaming experience. ### 2/5 — Broken PVP Experience *2022-08-04, version 1.0.4* This game managed to dumpster it’s PVP experience by putting 2 extremely broken units in the game on day one, Alice and Timy which you will see in 99% of arena defenses. Timy pushes your team forward and can’t be hit or pushed back herself even if you out speed her and Alice attack buffs a unit giving them an extra turn which they immediately take. So every match comes down to a 50/50 on who out speeds who and gets cleaved to death. Even if you try to tank through it, since that buffed unit goes twice you are still dead. It’s boring and has zero strategy to it. I hope they add units to counter these 2 ASAP! ### 3/5 — Not formatted for iPhone XR *2022-07-18, version 1.0.4* I really enjoy the combat animations in this game as opposed to other games like it. The lighting adds a lot of ambience and looks really nice. However, the game isn’t formatted properly for the iPhone XR so the notch on my screen ends up covering things regardless of which way I have the phone rotated. Please fix this issue. ### 3/5 — Great story line but there’s issues *2022-07-05, version 1.0.4* While the story is well written and I’m enjoying it I noticed that even though I picked a male commander the game will still occasionally (not always) use female pronouns when referring to the commander. Getting the cat boxes (what you use to level characters) is way to difficult, especially at a lower commander level, the last issue is that it feels like the pity system only works for those who spend a lot of money (200 summons is ridiculously high when getting the forging crystals (1800 for one ten pull) takes forever as a free to play player to get. For 200 you would need 36,000 forging crystals for one rate up character (after 2 weeks of just starting I’m barely even at 100 total summons). Those 3 issues prevent me from giving a 5 star rating. Visuals, great but not top tier. Progression had some glaring roadblocks but thats to be expected. Most of the gear system is copy-pasted from E7, and while that may put off many players, I don't necessarily see it as a bad thing. I only have 2 complaints. #1: No husbandos whatsoever. #2: Not enough energy to farm normal resource events and target eliminations, since most energy should be directed towards the ongoing events, which I don't like. ### 4/5 — Dope game *2022-06-30, version 1.0.4* This is in my mobile game rotation right now, you get a good amount of currency to summon from story, an infinite re roll, good art and gameplay. My two grievances at the moment are, 1. Not enough stamina; They really limit you, compared to how much you have to grind. 2. Login in issues on IOS; My connection is perfectly fine but won’t let me login, gives me a connection issue error message. Other than that, try it out, you can tell they learned a lot from other titles and made sure the qol on their game is on point. ### 4/5 — Pretty good and fun but… *2022-06-28, version 1.0.4* So I’ve played various gatcha, mostly Azur Lane with some FGO, Blue Archive, and GFL thrown in there, so gong from those to this is a bit different like any game. I definitely do enjoy it and the characters. Only area I think that can be improved upon is to make it easier to get some of the summoning currency. I’ve been doing the dailies but can’t remember currently if I’ve seen any tasks that give them to you and id they do, they’re in a small quantity. ### 3/5 — Epic Eight With No Content *2022-06-26, version 1.0.4* There’s a lot of things this game gets right and conversely a lot of things it gets wrong. It iterates on some things that make games like Epic Seven great like not having to sit through the same S3 animations you will watch thousands of times or offline farming. That being said it’s acquisition rates are utterly abysmal, pity is comically high when you consider the pathetic amount of summons the game gives you aside from the outset. Which leads into another issue for seasoned gacha players, rerolling in this game is so unbelievably tedious on top of just dreadful pull rates. I already after less than two weeks find myself bored of this game, everything is already able to be afk farmed with at least 85% success so there’s literally no reason to play aside from dailies. This game has so much potential but if you’re looking for a new main game this isn’t it. ### 3/5 — The reality of the game. *2022-06-25, version 1.0.4* First: i budget 100$ when i try a new gacha to see how bad the monetization is and how much grease can be applied to the wheels, so to speak. On that front, the first 40 dollars seem to have legitimate progression value, and falls off sharply after that. The translation is godawful, you will see a single character referred to as “Asura, Shura, Ashura, Shurya, and Ashurya” all in the space of a paragraph or two, and the gameplay is as autoplay as Azur lanes gameplay, but with neater skill cut ins. The rates for characters seem generous enough, slightly better than blue archive with the same spark requirement. Unsure if there’s some beginners luck algorithm running in the background, but benefit of the doubt we can assert it’s not terrible. Let’s be honest, people are here to collect sexy .jpg’s and this game has them, most characters seem to come in L2D standard, which a few having very, VERY h*rny skins. Strategy is minimal, art is good, 2.5/5 which rounds up to 3. Also it could get a bonus point for not being Diablo Immortal. **Developer response:** Hello Commander, This is Artery Gear: Fusion. Thank you. ### 3/5 — It’s a “meh” for me *2022-06-24, version 1.0.4* For reference, I’ve played multiple gacha games. Specifically, I really got into FGO, Arknights, and Genshin Impact. Basically, what I’m saying is that I’m not necessarily a newb when it comes to these types of games. Overall, Artery Gear isn’t bad. However, it feels kind of generic compared to other gacha. If you’ve played a gacha game before, then you’ve played Artery Gear. It’s got classic side-scroller combat that does everything for you, a grand story where a human-extinction-level threat enemy tries to destroy humanity, and a ton of upgrade systems to distract you from the fact that you don’t actually play the game 90% of the time it’s open on your phone. Some of the characters are a bit generic in terms of design and personality, but others hit it out of the park. For example, I really like Margot. Her design is kind of unique and I like her. Why? Well, she’s nice :) From this end, the characters are probably the single redeeming factor of the game. The only reason I feel like the game isn’t top-tier material is because, in my opinion, the gameplay itself doesn’t have enough gusto to separate itself from its competition. Once again, thank you! ### 4/5 — Very promising *2022-06-23, version 1.0.4* As a longtime gacha player this game has some amazing QOL lacking in modern titles, making it enjoyable to play. Animations are very unique and skills are cool. My only gripe knocking a star off is pretty bad localisation considering the high level of development. Lots of spelling mistakes, poor grammar, font size not fitting, etc. Fix the localization and gladly 5 stars. Very cool game and Milvus is my favorite! ### 2/5 — UI Design Nightmare *2022-06-23, version 1.0.4* Who came up with the UI for this game? It’s terrible. Text for some buttons just hangs off the side of the screen for me. For some reason there is a cursor. The Home Screen is a bunch of series’ of panels with several buttons for each that all display tiny text. It’s so odd. I knew I was in for a wild ride when the opening fight ended and I was randomly gifted a metric ton of gifts and login bonuses. I will say, though, the characters are every bit as cute as I’d hoped. Hope you go eos soon x *2024-06-23* I played the game since it launched, and avidly at that, spending money and getting all limited time collab units. But Artery Gear devs and support are too petty. — I’ve always collected all limited time related items (with the exception of black swan Margot because that price was ridiculous for a skin, and they won’t rerun it, ****). — And then, the event that made me quit the game. I was going for an Iris icon, started my 30 target eliminations before hopping offline, and when I got on it didn’t count towards the completion for the icon event which had ended. We wish you an enjoyable gaming experience. ### 1/5 — The story is interesting to follow along but.. *2023-11-03* I rather be captured and be a slave to death while in clarice command and even her assistant while surrendering everything I have left… while seeing player vs player, what a coincidence, I can’t even beat and defeat a single player in a match, I keep on losing all the time, make the match more equal and balanced, I’m a free to play player, and this is not truly fair, I can’t even spend a single dollar in this game, I wish I did, but also the events are like only lasted for 2-3 weeks like really, come on, I wanted the special type of character I saved up real badly on grinding but it still isn’t enough, the game is super unplayable for none money spenders, unless you like player vs enemy and other easy task. **Developer response:** Dear Commander, thank you for your feedback. Please stay tuned~ ### 1/5 — No longer supporting this game. *2023-02-02, version 1.0.6* I’ve made purchases on this game prior to support the devs during collab events, but recently they have decided to run exclusive banners like the limited MA Units directly after a limited collab banner. This isn’t even mentioning the despicable practice of the Materia Sisters which were run alongside the limited collab banners and the rather impossible ability to actually max them. Running limited MA units directly after, units that won’t be added to the normal pool, is specifically timed for manipulating people into spending an even more ridiculous amount of money. I will not support such deplorable behavior, and would encourage others to do the same. I really do. But the game. CRASHES. SO. MUCH. Whenever I go into the mothership. Crashes. Beginning a stage. Crashes. Defeating the last enemy. Crashes. Often, it crashes just as I defeat the last enemy but before the Victory message appears, so I have to do the stage again and hope the crash happens after the Victory message appears and not before. And it wasn’t like this before the Ryza collab. Before, I could get through it just fine. Sure it’d crash every now and then, but I could just shrug and say “Hey, it happens,” and just continue on. Now it crashes every 5 minutes and is irritating. I like the collabs. I like the story and characters. I want to play this game again. Please. Fix. The. You have to play and beat an entire chapter flawlessly just to get maybe 1000 crystals which means you gotta do that again and then when you are done that, you have a 0.70% chance of getting the 5star that you are trying to get. It’s so discouraging, I’m the type to pay money in games from time to time when I enjoy playing, but the chances in this game are so abysmal I am not even tempted to at all because I would be throwing money into the toilet. Unfortunately, while it does much better on the former, it does so at the cost of the latter. The banner rates are fairly low, and it doesn’t help that they constantly push good banners one after another on top of collab after collab. Furthermore, the gem inflow is completely garbage. The devs are insanely stingy with me having spent a fair amount on the game and still get ruined by the awful rates and currency rates. The way CN and JP are going shows that there’s no plans on changing this style, so I’m quitting to avoid any further commitment. Go play arknights or azure lane or something. ### 1/5 — If you are f2p stay away!!! *2022-07-03, version 1.0.4* As f2p that comes from playing summoners war, epic seven, and counter side. This games is very and I mean very stingy with resources. There is already a lack in stamina/energy to play the game any longer than 30min a day. Besides, there is not daily free summon in a gacha game, and their pity system is way too high (200) with no consistent way for f2p ppl to gain currency. Games was a waste of time please avoid it, I am sick of their predatory ways to try and hook in players because they don’t provide enough of any basic resources that make a GACHA game such. ### 1/5 — Very Reroll Unfriendly and Poor Translation Job *2022-06-15, version 1.0.4* The game was highly anticipated among the gacha community, but really fell short on quality control and new player quality of life. As the title implies, the game doesn’t even give you enough rolls to have a fair chance at rerolling for a unit you might want, and the guaranteed SSR pull they do give you has only half of the SSRs in the pool. The translation while attempting to read the story is also very poor, with grammatical mistakes all over the place and spaces missing in between words and sentences. They also decided to not dole out the pre-registration and milestone rewards all at once, and instead give you all the promised rewards slowly over the course of 3 days. Other than that the inventory system needs to be fixed. There’s too many material and fodder drop. It clogs up the inventory and takes too much time to manage. It’s a shame because the visuals are too notch ### 2/5 — Skill upgrades *2022-08-09, version 1.0.4* Been playing about a month or so. Made it through a few special events, was hyped to grab some rare characters, only to find out they intentionally pay wall the skill upgrade material so you can never fully level up their power without paying. What more I cant get more material until the next event for them comes around. Probably 1yr+. Got 2 damned up new characters that I grinded out for. Not cool. Please stop this behavior. Im atrongly considering dropping the game because I am not looking forward to obtaining future money-capped characters. Definitely not spending on events anymore. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — One of the better gacha games *2022-11-24, version 1.0.4* As far as gacha games go, this is one of the better recent releases. While whales are rewarded per usual with an expeditious climb up the gear ladder, the skill design of the vast cast of characters offers myriad party combinations outside of the meta with events offering enough resources and characters to keep anyone moving through the content without feeling pressure to engage in excessive spending. Many gacha games leave me feeling lost with abstract systems that aren’t well explained and punishing experimentation by strictly limiting resources. Many gacha games require research in advance to know who to focus on or you risk wasting time and effort building a team that hits a wall hard requiring extensive financial investment to get through. But this game’s tutorial system is thorough and the beginner quests move newbies through the basics of character and gear development. The resources are plentiful enough where most characters can be built to a level where they’re usable in content, and mixing up different teams is required to get through the varied content. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST AUTO STRATEGIC GAMES IVE EVER PLAYED! Let me explain, with the speed tuning, gear refinement, character leveling focus, and energy usage; I can honestly say this game is worth way more that 3.9 and that only if we’re talking about game strategy. Art is top notch ! Animation is seamless. Reward system for beating different enemies under battle mode is amazing and rewarding. Character upgrade system, to me, is by far one of the best well thought out systems I’ve ever experienced on a phone rpg. Now the gotcha system could use better rates on promotional banners but being that this is a gatcha game, it’s best to save for units that fit your particular play style for that game. Overall this game should be its own original steeple in the app gaming industry. To the developers, keep doing an amazing job with the content creation for the game. For any noobies to the game, when you get the infinite retools, make sure you pull for Ginga and Alice on the same pull. For the casual player that just enjoys a story, some event content & smooth sails the game, I’d say this is a 5/5. The only reason why hardcore players like myself are disappointed or frustrated is the fact that energy is so scarce right now. & for you out there that read the reviews before downloading, this game is at least worth TRYING. The combat is amazing, graphics are top notch, animations are so satisfying, character models are somewhat unique for being a waifu mech game, the QoL is just absolutely astonishing. Give it a try, you won’t regret it. Oh & one last thing, the one downside I included earlier about the energy being scarce? Wish you a happy life. ### 5/5 — It’s fun *2022-06-29, version 1.0.4* I was worried about the ratings but it is a fun gatcha time killer with nice art. The story is somewhat interesting with amazing designs and concepts for characters. Premium items such as costumes are relatively inexpensive with being $5 for a premium character costume that changes their ultimate visuals as well. Definitely is a grind but a good way to pass the time. My only recommendation is increase stamina recovery or have refunds of stamina for first time failed missions of some sorts. ### 5/5 — Very fun game *2022-06-28, version 1.0.4* This game is great for f2p folks or for the hardcore, the combat is a nice speed type turn based, there is gear upgrading and character upgrading and some similar aspects to genshin impact for character side of things, I will say it’s gets tough the more time you invest in the game like me I’m end game now until new story releases and it’s rough on me but I can somehow manage to get my gear upgrades then rely on luck to scrape by on a boss and it’s oh so very satisfying all in all 5/5 for me. I have been playing with just three stars and four stars and yet I have beaten teams that is all five stars. Strategy matters!!! Also the gacha pulls is not bad! Have a great day! ### 5/5 — Awesome game *2022-06-20, version 1.0.4* I really love this game and the graphics are awesome also love the characters but there something’s that could be added to the game because there only 3 blue red and green what about adding special colors to attack special enemy if you know what I mean and also I’m little confused with the gear to find out what gear better with each character and I’m also looking forward for story mode because I love it so far and looking for more and nice more mode and character keep it up i love so far ### 5/5 — great game! *2022-06-20, version 1.0.4* I love the art and it seems pretty F2P friendly. I’ve gotten about 3 5* units in my first 4 hours of playing, and it’s quite easy to get the “S tier” characters in this game. I’m a casual player so the energy caps don’t bother me. The music and OST is really nice to listen to. I wish there was more voice acting in the story scenes but it makes sense why they wouldn’t be as they’re quite a lot. My only complaint is that the font size in this game is really small and so are the icons.
