## What is ArtesaniasICP?

ArtesaníasICP facilita al público encontrar y entrar en contacto con los artesanos y artesanas afiliados al ICP. Las personas pueden buscar información de contacto según el tipo de trabajo artesanal que desea, el pueblo de residencia, el nombre de la persona o cualquier palabra relacionada a su búsqueda. Incluye un directorio con el contacto de los artesanos y artesanas incluyendo su nombre, el pueblo de residencia, los productos artesanales que realiza, el correo electrónico, número de teléfono de contacto y en los casos en que tenga, sus redes sociales y plataformas de venta en línea. Cada vez que se entra a la aplicación, aparece al azar una nota educativa sobre la artesanía puertorriqueña o una biografía corta de un Maestro o Maestra Artesana. También hay una pestaña que redirige a una plataforma con información sobre la oferta cultural y creativa del país. Es parte del esfuerzo del Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña (ICP) de ampliar las plataformas de venta del sector artesanal en Puerto Rico. 

Esta aplicación fue creada por los estudiantes de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Carlos J Díaz Vargas, Lyxaira Glass Rivera, Christian J Matos Rivera y Emmanuel Rivera Colón que comenzaron a desarrollarla como parte del curso de Ingeniería de Software impartido por el Dr. Carlos J Corrada Bravo en el Recinto de Río Piedras.
