### 4/5 — Great app!

*2013-03-02, version 1.2*

Fun app my students enjoy for additional article practice! It records, plays back, and keeps data, as well.

### 5/5 — Articulation scenes

*2013-03-02, version 1.2*

This is a great app for students to practice all of their sounds in the initial, medial and final position. They can find the object, by looking for it, reading it or listening to it. The game also allows them to listen to the sound in context and either create their own scene or read the passage to practice the sounds. Reinforced by winning trophies in the movie theatre concept is a great way to keep them involved!

### 5/5 — Versatile app

*2013-03-02, version 1.2*

I love this app. It has made articulation carry over easier for my students. They love the scenes. I am also able to use it for my language students and fluency students. Nice- when you have mixed groups.

### 5/5 — Winner

*2013-02-17, version 1.1*

My students LOVE Articulation Scenes and so do I. It is a great way to have guided practice on specific phonemes. Having the ability to keep data right in the app also is a huge plus for me. Keep up the great work.

### 4/5 — Students love this

*2013-02-12, version 1.1*

My students love this app. The pictures are great and I'm able to keep track of their progress. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because sometimes the pictures listed aren't in the scene or it is very hard to tap an item because it is too close to another. This is frustrating for some of my students.

### 4/5 — SLP

*2013-01-07, version 1.1*

I have used this App on many ocassions. I like the fact that it can be used for more than just targeting articulation errors. I have also used it to target sentence formulation, Identification of pictured objects when given its description and/or function, etc. But most importantly, it is very engaging!

### 5/5 — Great for middle school too

*2013-01-06*

I am a middle school slp and have been delighted with how much my kids have enjoyed using this app. My students particularly like finding the objects within the picture scenes and also the recording option to self monitor their accuracy. Hard to find varied activities for artic work during the teen years and this app has fit the bill for me and my students!

### 5/5 — So many opportunities for practice!

*2013-01-06, version 1.1*

Love this app! I use it a lot with my son. He has a rather short attention span and he can work with his app for over a half hour. Lots of great practice opportunities and he loves searching for the objects! Recommend for sure.

### 5/5 — Love!!

*2012-11-09, version 1.0*

I had been wanting to start using my iPad in therapy and this was the first app I purchased. I'm not sure who's more excited about it...me or my students! The scenes are fantastic! Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2012-11-08, version 1.0*

Absolutely love this app. My speech students are very entertained by the different activities. The graphics are great! Very engaging and motivating!

### 5/5 — Articulation Scenes Review

*2012-11-08, version 1.0*

I have been usinf Articulation Scenes for months with both my speech students at school, as well as my private practice clients. This app is extraordinary as it targets ALL speech sounds at every level of hierarchy! My student's love to record their voices as they practice their target sounds at their individual level. Being able to replay their recordings provides them with a wonderful opportunity to have auditory feedback of the errors or improvements. I absolutely recommend this for any SLP or parent whose child needs a little fun in their speech life!

### 2/5 — Too Pricey!

*2013-05-10, version 1.3*

This app is a good concept but the images are poor quality and the app does not work consistently; a reoccurring problem with Smarty Ears Apps.

### 3/5 — Great except

*2018-04-12, version 3.2*

I noticed they are missing a scene for “er”. I would love to see that added.

### 3/5 — Z phoneme

*2017-11-30, version 1.7*

Recordings all sound like s especially the final z pictures ....

### 3/5 — Articulation Scenes review

*2015-06-29*

I am slightly disappointed about this much hyped app. Overall, it is a good app, especially if you have only one articulation app. The range of picture for each sound is good. The Find the Hidden Items and Tap and Say it activities are excellent, as are the homework pages. I have tried the app with a few of my speech kids and they enjoyed it. The Movie Theater and the Production Room do basically the same thing, so the app offers 3 types of activities, not 4. That being said, this app is also suitable for narrative work, so an app that offers more than one use is always a good thing. The reward system works better with older kids. For younger kids, something more visual would be appropriate (e.g. lighting up the light bulbs on the side mirror as they accumulate points). For the movie theater/production room activity, being able to move pictures as you tell your story would be a great feature, if technically possible. The Australian app Art Maker has that feature, so if this was an option with this app, it would be a great addition.

### 3/5 — Disappointing

*2012-08-31, version 1.0*

I am disappointed that the scenes are not animated like a real movie theatre. I think it would b a nice reward after the child is finished reading or formulating their own story for the scene to "come alive with animation.". Speaking of rewards...one of my students read that she had earned an award yet her trophy case remained empty. Please fix the bugs and animate! Thanks!

### 4/5 — A must have app for SLP's

*2013-08-28, version 1.3*

My clients rally enjoy this interactive articulation app. It is so much more than an artic app! The various scenes are also packed with language learning opportunities. Some glitches occur & improvements needed but they are minor. Switching between students while in the app could be more convenient when working with groups of children.

### 4/5 — Good for carryover

*2013-05-11, version 1.3*

My speech students enjoy finding the hidden objects to practice their sounds and getting "trophies" for their trophy case. Although each sound has 4 levels of activities, there is only one scene per sound. It would be great if more scenes were added. I've found this app to be helpful in bridging the gap between kids being able to say their sounds in sentences from worksheets to conversational speech. It's a bit pricy for the content, but worth it when on sale.

### 4/5 — Kids enjoyed it

*2013-05-11, version 1.3*

I like that this app can be used for not only artic but for language as well! I have pulled up the picture scene and used it for obtaining language samples. I also like that there are printables for each sound and position that you can print out for homework!

### 4/5 — Like it

*2013-05-11, version 1.3*

My kids really enjoy practicing their sound in different tasks. They love the hidden pictures but I wish it had the option of more than one student at a time

### 4/5 — Great App

*2013-03-05, version 1.2*

I really like this app for my articulation caseload. It would be nice if you added a simple phrase level instead of jumping from the word level to the sentence level.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A lot of fun!

*2019-04-30, version 3.4*

What a fun articulation app! The kids enjoy looking for the hidden objects in each of the articulation scenes. I also love the homework portion. It’s so easy to email right home to parents.

### 5/5 — Great variety

*2019-04-28, version 3.4*

I’ve recently started using this app. Kids love to search for the target in the larger image in activity 1. In activity 2, kids can record themselves- great way to give feedback. Activities 3&4 allow for students to read or create stories using target words. Includes s blends, r blends, l blends and a full range of sounds in all positions

### 5/5 — Great for Carryover

*2017-03-30, version 1.7*

My kids love this app and it's great for articulation carry over. I also like using it for kids working on language skills like descriptive words and sentence construction. I use it at least once per day.

### 5/5 — Awesome App!

### 5/5 — Articulation Scenes

*2013-03-02, version 1.2*

What a fun app! Downloaded this last week and my students are asking for it everyday! They especially like the hidden picture scenes. I especially like the stories and recording option to create your own story. This is a great carryover activity for older kiddos especially. Kids are very motivated to collect the trophies when they complete an activity. They Are bummed tho when they can't earn all of them because we are not working on each sound!

### 5/5 — Great for groups

*2013-03-02, version 1.2*

I use this app with small groups and the kids love it. Nice alternative to boring old speech drills!
