I appreciate this app. ### 4/5 — Need app on iMac *2022-03-21, version 2.8.1* I love using this app for conducting speech therapy sessions. However, it is only for iPad and iPhone. I would love for it to be available for desktop/iMac . Of course, I can screen share from my iPhone or iPad, but the kids lose the interactive experience, and it’s not as enjoyable for them. Please make a desktop version of this app! ### 2/5 — Not-so-free, not even close *2022-01-09, version 2.8.1* *The two star rating is not a reflection of the quality of this app but the unreasonable cost for family usage. I have a child with special needs whose been in speech therapy for nearly 5 years with no end in sight. This app came highly recommended from an SLP after my child used it during a session and they actually engaged and had zero meltdowns!! Of course that alone made me want it immediately so, when I saw there was a pro version and a free version I assumed the pro version was aimed towards SLP’s with advanced tools to record scores and such and the free version was more so for at home play for kids in speech. Well, my assumption was WAY wrong! We simply can’t afford a $60 app when we already spend such an insane amount on therapy itself. I wish there was a cheaper option for families that didn’t include paying +/- $5 per letter/sound. It’s abhorrent that everything targeted towards kids with special needs is priced super high because companies know that parents will ultimately pay the price because their child needs it. For now I will seek out another app in hopes of finding something of similar quality and a more affordable price. ### 4/5 — Great app! *2021-02-27, version 2.7.3* We love this app! We use it at home to practice between SLP appointments. The only thing that I wish it had was more variety at the story level. My son has memorized the stories and tries to rush through them. He’s said several times he’s bored with the story and wants to try something new. Other than that - this is the best speech app we have used hands down. The record and playback feature is really helpful, the colors are bright and engaging, and it makes at home practice easier for us. ### 5/5 — Amazing *2020-10-01, version 2.6.9* Me and my speech therapist use this app to help with my speech and it works amazing. There's so many things you can do with the letters or stuff like the sound of ”th”, this can be used for many ages. I was first introduced to this app by a few Speech-Language Pathologists during there therapy session. I saw such incredible improvement in the speech and language development of the children using the app that I was just simply amazed! The creators are incredible. The app is easy to use, extremely fun and motivating for children! I absolutey love how they include all speech sounds and can be used in either inital medial or final position as well as at the word, phrase, sentence and story level! They both struggle in different area of articulation, and after a friend’s SLP recommended this for them, she implemented it daily and has seen big improvements! So we started using the app! My kids LOVE getting to do the app. Of course- screen time! ☺️ And the games are so fun. My 6 YO has zero idea this is meant to improve her speech. She just thinks it’s fun. This summer I’m making a big effort to dive in consistently, daily with my kids. Can’t wait to see the results! I’m positive we will! I had an issue with loading to my ipad due to restricted in-app purchases and emailed the developer. Super-fast response. Chris provided top-notch support. Our therapist recommended this app so her progress didn’t stop. It’s so fun! This app makes my work so much easier! The best feature I like about is, I can send the students’ recording and score to parents in a form of an mp3! Parents just love it! It’s easy to track progress too. If you’re an SLP, you gotta have it! ### 3/5 — Could be perfect... *2020-04-06, version 2.6.9* I absolutely love how easy it is to use this app. However, my child has apraxia of speech, so it is important for her to practice not only a speech sound, but also specific syllable types/patterns. If this app had the option of practicing specific syllable types/patterns, I would give it 5 stars. Unfortunately, it falls short. If they ever update it, I will change my review. ### 5/5 — Best artic app *2020-04-02, version 2.6.9* This articulation app is great! It is versatile, thorough, and so easy to use. It also allows you to collect data. My students love many things about this app, especially the matching game and the ability to hit the check or X to monitor their responses. This keeps them motivated which is always a plus! ### 5/5 — One of my best purchases *2020-02-22* I have been using Articulation Station for a number of years. It is not cheap but given that I use it almost daily it has been a great investment. Gone are the hours wasted searching for clip art pictures. They are there at a glance. Some of the pictures are clearly only of use in US, but you can easily edit them out from a word list and save it. I have recommended to a number of parents and they all seem happy, the purchase of single sounds does not work out expensive per family. Of course you do have to remind parents that an adult has to be with the child while playing to give feedback about their responses. However the pictures are lovely and the app has activities that engage the child. **Developer response:** Thank you for your review! Every time you tap on a letter, it asks if you want to go to the store. If you select “no”, it takes you back to the screen with the letters. If you select “yes”, it takes you to another screen with an upgrade offer £54 or more, and more letters. If you then click on a letter, you are then shown a price for that letter and all of the sounds, words, and phrases that it contains. Each letter is around £2 . No fanks! ### 1/5 — NOT a family shareable app!!!! *2020-04-19, version 2.6.9* My daughter loves this app or else I would request a refund. I spent the $30 for the pro since it was advertised as available for family sharing and my daughter has responded very well to it. Guess what...you can share the app, but not the purchases. My wife and I work opposite schedules which means that unless we spend another 30 bucks (or more), this lovey little app is only available to my daughter if daddy is home. Really have to say that that one is low. I wish I had gone to the website and read through the endless paragraphs of ‘sharing’ rules before I ever introduced this to my daughter. **Developer response:** We are sorry for the misunderstanding. I understand up selling but I didn’t even get to click on a single button. Useless. **Developer response:** With this version which is free to download you get the entire P sound for free. Every activity in the P program is also found in other sound programs within the app. If you tap on the P sound card on the home screen you may explore all the activities which should give you a good idea and overview of the app and whether it will fit your needs. You also have the option of purchasing only the sound programs that you need which will save you money if you do not need all 22 sound programs the Pro version of the app offers. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t allow in-app purchases to be shared between family members *2019-12-22* Purchased on the advice of my daughter’s speech therapist. Installed on our shared childrens’ iPad. When we purchased a second iPad we were unable to load the already purchased letters without paying again. Considering the prices, a very expensive exercise. My daughter enjoyed and engages with the exercises but wouldn’t recommend due to inability to share letter purchases amongst family accounts. **Developer response:** We are sorry that you are unable to share in app purchases via the Family Sharing option that Apple offers. This is not a restriction of the app itself... Unfortunately Apple does not allow in-app purchases to be shared between family members through the Family sharing option. Our email: hello@littlebeespeech.com ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2019-05-08* One sound available so can't even see how it works properly, unless you have a spare £45 to unlock it don't bother **Developer response:** Within the P sound program that comes free with the app users can experience every activity this app offers in terms of articulation practice, including the data collection. It's important to know that the P sound contains the same activities as the other sounds in the app (flashcards, matching game, rotating phrases, unique phrases, rotating sentence, unique sentences and level 1 and level 2 stories). The only difference being that the content offered within these activities is focused on the P sound. The amount of content within each sound program may vary and is reflected in the price of each sound offered. ### 1/5 — Only P sound included. What a difference it has made so far, and so happy that our speech therapist had recommended this app! ### 5/5 — Life changing articulation app for kids. *2021-05-19, version 2.7.4* Little Bee Speech has really outdone themselves with this app. Not only is this the most beautiful, most user intuitive and crazy powerful articulation app for toddlers, it’s also very fairly priced for what you’re getting. Using this app with my toddler was an absolute game changer. He struggled with b and p’s and and every letter after, and since using this app with his speech therapist it has improved significantly. If you’re on the fence about this app, please follow my advice! You can try the free version do the app for free with the letter P and see for yourself. If you like it, buy it but I recommend you buy the full “articulation station pro” app so you can share it with other family members (grandparents, wife or husband, etc) and they would have the chance to practice with the kids too. Don’t waste your time with the other apps. It’s worth spending a few dollars for a child struggling ### 5/5 — Masterpiece of human engineering. Hands best articulation app. *2021-05-19, version 2.7.4* Let me pre-face this review with the information that my son is struggling with speech since he started babbling. After Many months of speech therapy we saw only marginal improvement. Our speech therapist recommended this app. I promptly downloaded the free trial and let me save you some time. This is without a doubt the best articulation app in existence. There’s a reason it’s the go to app for speech therapists and worth every penny. If you don’t have viable insurance, this app is a steal. If you have the best insurance, the app is a steal. Please support this company so it can continue to make apps that’s change kids lives. ### 5/5 — Number 1 Go-To for Speech Therapy *2021-04-22* The Articulation Station apps are a Speech-Language Pathologist’s best friend. I use the Pro version daily in my clinical practice and appreciate the convenience of having comprehensive sound practice on my device rather than carrying around bulky decks of flash cards. The app has various customizable features including word position (e.g., targeting the sound at the beginning, middle and end of words), sound context (the target sound paired with different vowels and in consonant blends), hierarchies of difficulty (from single words to short phrases, loaded sentences and stories) and the option the have randomized practice or set prompts. It also has the option of drill work or to play with a matching memory game. This is my preferred app for speech therapy and is a steal at the price point. The lite version here is also a great deal for families working on a limited number of target sounds. Sound bundles range from $5-10 and is a cost effective alternative to buying the Pro version with the entire sound inventory. I always recommend to families and most report a preference for the app over the typical word lists and flash cards I provide. ### 5/5 — Great customer service *2021-03-02, version 2.7.3* Thank you Little Bee for helping me recover an app that I was unable to download! Also, this app. and the Articulation Station Pro are wonderful additions to my daily speech therapy sessions with clients. It has made therapy with my clients so much more convenient.
