Been like this for a few months now ### 2/5 — Just a horribly-coded app *2026-08-11, version 2.2.7* It looks so good when you’re using it and it would be so amazing for card creation. The interface seems intuitive and reasonable, hundreds of frames and style. But it’s like looking at something amazing through a chain-wire fence but the fence is how many stupid bugs and oversights there are. In the middle of making a card? Ah too bad, all of a sudden you can’t click the back button, so you have to go back to the main page. Ope! To add insult to injury, the app doesn’t autosave your progress, so you have to start over! If they can fix how badly this app is put together, it would just totally smash the other apps ### 2/5 — What is and Was. *2026-06-23, version 2.2.7* This app as it stands is next to useless. You cannot save. You cannot add tap or mana symbols because the interface is broken. Those are the biggest issues, not to mention a plethora of other minor bugs. Prior to the subscription update everything worked beautifully, it was the best app out there for custom cards by a long shot. I’d pay $10 for the old app back. Not paying $100 a year for an app that doesn’t work. I’m writing this review after sending multiple feedback emails which haven’t even earned a “we’re working on it” reply. ### 1/5 — Buggy mess *2026-06-09, version 2.2.7* The update this previous year broke the app, currently you’re unable to add mana symbols to card text for spells or alter the font size. I fail to understand how a an app can become this much wore in an update. Please improve dev, or even revert to a previous version. ### 1/5 — No premium content and won’t stop charging my card *2026-06-02, version 2.2.7* Simple as the title says. Paid for a premium sub. Nothing was added to the app for me. Cancelled the sub and they have since charged me twice anyways. No premium, no public, no basic. Literally everything is blank. I want my money back. Update: contacted them through their online form to get a refund and cancel the premium sub and received no response. Plus they charged me again for another month. Still no content available. Also unable to delete my account to avoid more unauthorized future charges. It lets you edit the card to, all the way from every card color (And duo colored cards), and “Elements” in the game, it has the MTG symbols (But some are only accessible by a V.I.P thing or subscription), And even every type of card like creatures, vehicles, adventures, the people cards, and more! But, The game is heavily hard to get a card posted to a gallery or to save the cards to your photos app with some glitchy errors that don’t let you. If you have a phone you could always screenshot it though, so don’t worry too much. ### 1/5 — Premium sub not working *2026-03-28, version 2.2.7* Bought a premium sub for a month to test this app out and there is literally no content anywhere. Normally I’m not this harsh but this was a really great, user friendly experience. Now it’s heavily paywalled and overburdened with unnecessary features, not to mention completely ridden with bugs. Months of designs just gone. I tried using the app again to build what I lost because I like the set up of the app, but now to use custom icons, you can’t change the rarity color, so what’s the point? Also, when I tried to use a rarity of a different icon, it forces you to upgrade to Premium. I will not be doing that. This app has so much potential but unfortunately unless it changes, I will not be using it. Went to go search for a type of border and nothing is searchable, literally nothing shows up… nothing is available to choose… completely useless. There is no “cancel subscription” IN the app, you must go through banking services or try to contact them which may take forever. This app was my favorite to use but now it’s borderline unusable ### 1/5 — Not good anymore *2026-09-01, version 2.2.7* The original Artificer was better. It was simple. You could create any car you wanted and save it to your phone. You didn’t need to be online overall it was better they ruined it. Lame AF. ### 1/5 — Once Great, Now Ruined *2026-08-18, version 2.2.7* They really had something awesome and then ruined the UI, paywalled and removed features, and deleted all of my old custom concepts. ### 1/5 — App Was Ruined *2026-07-31, version 2.2.7* Artificer used to be my absolutely favorite tool to use to make custom cards. Every designing tool you needed was available for free and the UI was simple and intuitive. I had been using it for years to make my own proxy card designs. Then one day they released an update that asked you to sign into an account which you never used to need. When you made one, you realized that all your previously saved creations had been erased. Not only did they delete all of your hard work, the tool itself actually got WORSE. The app became buggy and there were features they took out or hid behind a paywall. Nothing worked well and it was shocking to see how bad the designers managed to screw up such a cool app. Needless to say, this app is 100% garbage now and I wish the creators had just left it as it was. If they needed to make money on it they could’ve added some extra cosmetics that people could purchase or make us watch a short ad when we open the app. Anything would’ve been better than this mess they made. The app is clunkier and most of the new features are locked behind a premium subscription. The app is overall slower and feels worse to use than it used to, as well as the update deleting all of the cards I had already made. It’s overall just worse to use and harder to make cards with, and the introduction of a premium subscription is a bit of a deterrent. ### 5/5 — Love this app!
