I can't get past the first screen with the cows. I have pretty much every app that can turn a photo into a painting, either by just pushing a button like this app or by painting and adjusting and working for the final product like in Mobile Monet. The button pushing just doesn't feel as fun and the results are so much less personal. Not to mention how much less control you have over the final results. This app allows you to erase and paint but the spots where you do it stick out like sore thumbs. So, I'm giving the app three stars because I can see how some photos will turn out lovely using what is really just a filter and so it merits the three stars. By changing the color and hue, you get additional effects. ### 5/5 — Results vary widely *2011-07-03* This app leads to some amazingly beautiful results with some photos. When it works well with a photo then I'm usually able to make several different versions that are stunningly good. With other photos I'm not satisfied with any of the versions no matter how many options I try. You can't seem to force any one particular photo to work well with the app. I've used Artify on my own art that I've made on the iPad with other apps. In some cases the results make me look like I'm an artistic genius. I'm not bragging. It's all effects. When it works it works. When it doesn't the results aren't at all impressive. It's been a lot of fun to play with so far. I've already made a Keynote slideshow of my best Artified productions.
