Not ideal though, pencil kit simply isn’t powerful enough for my tastes. No eye dropper makes it super difficult. Also doesn’t allow for painting directly on model. ### 2/5 — What now? *2020-02-29* I loaded my model but when I select my texture it asks me to seek the a material. But there’s no option to add or select any materials. There’s also no option to load a normal map. **Developer response:** Hello MacabreMonster, thanks for your support. About the texture selection, the app detects the number of materials that the model already has and allows you to set the texture on any of these materials but you need at least one texture mapping to be able to attach the image. About the normal map, is one thing that we are considering to add in the future. If you have doubts about the texture assignment please check the tutorial on the info section inside the app ### 3/5 — Pretty decent but lacking a few features *2018-12-14* Smoothly shows off models but it’s a little simple, no real way to edit textures on the fly and have them update on the viewer which really is the main selling point. You have to reload the texture manually after each save. Would probably be a lot better if you could link procreate files to the models so you can paint and see the model update **Developer response:** Thanks for your suggestion, we’ll add more features soon to expand the app functionality. When we created the app, we choose the clipboard option because was the most universal, the easiest and quickest way for the user to view your texture changes. Sadly we don’t have access to inner-data and functionality of external painting apps to make the texture update fully real-time, but we’ll investigate another ways to improve the user experience. ### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing and needs some cool upgrades *2024-11-11* Id like to say this app is amazing it’s great for viewing models!! But I recently encountered an issue when ever I import a file (specifically a .fbx file) but it doesn’t work when it used to work before Whats more weirder the fbx model file that comes with the app actually works but others I’ve tried doesn’t work I’d like for that to be fixed please **Developer response:** Thanks for your comment. A new version with the fix is on the way ### 5/5 — Addon *2024-04-15* Great underrated app. I would suggest having an option to add camera as well as import multiple objects in scene. Actually, Artist 3d Viewer is also available for iPad ( no need for additional purchase, if you have purchased the iOS version, just download the iPad one) ### 5/5 — Best thing ever *2019-07-06, version 2.2* Perfect for texture painting on my ipad pro side by side with Procreate. The paste option is great for workflow. This app is simple, straightforward and does exactly what it needs to without drowning in half-baked features like so many other 3d mobile apps. The only small bug I found is when I import .dae files with animations, sometimes vertices on the legs of the character will be kind of "pinned" to the origin, thats the best way of explaining it? **Developer response:** Hello Zschollful, sorry for the late response. The issue that you mentioned could happen due to some limitations of the model import library that we use for certain animated models.
