I am new in learning singing and I am facing a few issues. First of all they did not have any practice videos when I started which was a big drawback. I was never given instructions on what should be my daily practice routine. They have updated the app now and it does have practice regiments. But there is nothing for beginners who are singing in lower scales like G, G#, A, & A#. The practice scale begins from C. Why is that? We are paying the same amount as anyone who is singing in a higher scale so we should be given the same tools. That is a big drawback for me or anyone who has a lower scale. Number two, I feel that they give their teachers way too many classes in one day. They are teaching up to 10 students back to back or sometimes even more, so I feel like I am in an assembly line. They do not really give as much personalized attention or focus on our individual needs. Just saying to keep practicing is not of much help. One needs to know tips for effective practice to improve. I do not blame the teachers because it is humanly not possible for somebody to be engaged 12 to 14 hours a day non-stop. But their music teachers helped me a lot. I learnt Hindi film music from them. The trainers here are acclaimed artists and musicians themselves and to get a peek into their world of Music is a very rare gift for those who sincerely want to master their art . Special mention should be made about Shree Sonu Nigam , who despite his very busy schedule takes time out to instill his passion inside all those who love Music. The screen size stays fixed like a phone display instead of adjusting to the full iPad screen. The trial session was good and welcoming. There was some pressure created after this to join the course which included multiple phone calls etc. However, I’m glad I joined the course as learned a lot in the next 3 months. Aarti ji, my teacher was very good and encouraging. Lot of flexibility in arranging lessons meaning a person at my age of 47 and full time working, had options to choose from. Can’t even open app if an update is pending. No improvement from any update. Only reason to use Artium is the teachers ### 1/5 — They are cheaters *2025-12-05* We enrolled for a 40 class contract with a promise of certificate at the end of it. Once the classes ended they said we need to take 12 more classes to complete the course since they couldn’t compete it within the timeframe and that I needed to pay up for the additional classes. And all this towards the end of the stipulated classes. This is just a way to harass and steal money from the customer. If I don’t pay, I don’t get the certificate - like an extortion. They have no proper grievance redressal system. No one to escalate to. The same bot like people keep giving the same answers. I am appalled how sich big names like Sonu Nigam and Shubha Mudgal are associated with this institute. They never even made the student interact with them or experience their expertise. Each learner progresses at their own pace, as learning aptitude and concept absorption can vary from individual to individual. While some learners may complete the curriculum within the initially planned number of sessions, others may require additional classes to fully grasp all concepts. In Sreeyanshi's case, the Hindustani Classical Intermediate course lessons were still pending at the end of the original class pack, and therefore, additional sessions were required to complete the syllabus and become eligible for the final certificate. This progress is clearly visible on the learner dashboard and can be tracked at any time. Please be assured that we do not engage in any unfair practices, and our intent has always been to ensure genuine learning outcomes rather than rushing through a course for certification alone. We also confirm that our dedicated support team is already in touch with you and guiding you through this. We truly value your trust and would be happy to continue supporting you until all concerns are fully resolved. ### 1/5 — Worst experience ever – stay away! *2025-05-18, version 1.0.84* Downloaded the app and booked my first free class – which never happened. Logged into the app 5 minutes before the scheduled session, only to be told I “missed it” and needed to reschedule. I rebooked a class for 30 minutes later, and soon got a call from the instructor offering help if I couldn’t connect. As expected, I couldn’t connect again. The app only showed a reschedule button, no option to actually join the class. I shared a screenshot with the instructor, and surprisingly, their tone changed completely – now saying they couldn’t help and promised a callback from tech support, which I never received. Tried reaching out multiple times – no response. Total waste of time. Terrible support, app experience, and communication. I regret booking with them. Avoid this app at all costs. ### 1/5 — Refusing to refund my money *2025-05-06, version 1.0.82* I joined Artium and after few weeks I realized it’s not a good fit for me. They promised of a refund policy when I signed up. Now it’s been a month since I canceled the service and they have not refunded my money. On top of that they have blocked me and refusing to answer my phone calls. Please don’t scam people of their hard earned money. ### 1/5 — Poor First Session Experience and Lack of Support *2025-03-08, version 1.0.77* ⸻ I had a very disappointing experience with my first session. The audio was not clear, and when I tried to log in from another system, the instructor left the session without any intimation. I even tried to reach out via WhatsApp, but there was no response from their end. This lack of communication and support is highly unprofessional. I expected a much better experience. ### 1/5 — Pressure selling *2024-12-09, version 1.0.69* Found the company to pressure sell which is off-putting. They want up-front fees for 6 months to a year without even meeting your tutor or to see if you will get on and like the lessons. There are also lots of technical issues with their systems. Lots of emails that are duplicated and calls from different people so not very organised. Even after I had my demo lesson I kept getting calls late at night to remind me of my demo lesson so I had to block that number. When I try and record my homework, it glitches and crashes. It truly needs a lot of improvement. ### 1/5 — Unsympathetic *2024-10-31* I requested a refund and my mother had told me to ask for the number on which the teams call, and their reply was that they couldn’t release such so-called ‘confidential information’ 🙄 The vocal warm ups are written in Hindi, and the workload is very high, especially for those kids who, like me, have lots of other classes. It took up too much time, and, as I mentioned earlier, I asked for a refund, which was AGAIN unsuccessful. The app is shown in a phone dimension, so I was unable to reschedule or cancel a session without the academy’s help. The 24 hour rule is very unfair and is only based on the teacher’s convenience. The Artium support team is also very slightly illiterate and gets confused often when I ask for clarification. All this makes it very difficult to get anything at all done on this app **Developer response:** Hello! Crashes every third time when listening to own recordings. Recorded notes for practice from teacher cannot be accessed without internet. Slider on recorded notes is not responsive to touch. One has to try very hard before it responds. She loves her classes and her teacher, Sohan Bhattacharjee. When she joined, she knew only 1–2 songs, but now she has developed a real love for music—thanks to the teacher and the institute. Scheduling and rescheduling classes is very easy. The app is user-friendly, even for an 8-year-old, and features like inbuilt tanpura, tabla, and class recordings make practice simple and effective.
