Hopefully someone at artscroll app support will see this ### 2/5 — Crashes constantly *2025-03-19, version 8.61.7* App crashes constantly. I’m leaving a 2 star review now because it started working again, but shouldn’t have stopped in the first place. ### 2/5 — Please update this app!! *2022-02-15* This app has a lot of really great features and capabilities but has constant bugs. It is slow to start/load. Every time I jump into the app it starts auto downloading something. Page flipping should be faster, etc. The UI needs and update and everything should be tighter overall. I leave it open and nothing ever loads. Waste of time and money to download. It’s been 3 plus years since the X was released but it’s still not optimized. It has to be removed manually, each time! It is impossible for me to concentrate on my tefillos! I certainly understand that there is the matter of sponsorship, and I am grateful to those who so generously contributed! But I paid a substantial amount to use the Siddur as well! Please remove it, it’s enough to see it on the cover page, just like a regular Siddur! ### 1/5 — Obscene dedication line *2020-10-02* The screen shot does not show the dedication line that appears EVERY TIME you scroll to a new chapter/paragraph group. This is a huge distraction, and recently appeared during an “upgrade”. I urge you to remove this “feature” so the dedicator’s soul does not continue to get defaced as people stop praying to try to remove the dedication line at top of the page. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Awful, doesn’t work, unable to get a refund *2023-07-31, version 8.61.6* Beware, this app is awful. It doesn’t work. I tried to get a refund and it says not eligible for refund. Complete waste of money. ### 1/5 — Stuck on loading and stopped working *2023-07-19* This app used to be great and worked perfectly. But after the latest update it got stuck on loading and the app was unusable. I redownloaded and now it’s even worse. It’s a shame because I used to love this app ### 1/5 — Something has gone seriously wrong *2023-07-05, version 8.61.5* This formerly amazing app now has a serious bug which makes it almost useless. It does 2 sets of “downloading” after being opened, which, even on a fast internet link, takes at least a minute to perform, and which freezes out the Siddur from being used. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t load *2023-06-22* When launched, the app says “translation loading” for several minutes but never loads. Can’t figure out why. ### 1/5 — Not a good mobile application *2021-11-05* It crashes and does not recover. When it does ‘work’ the user experience is frustrating. It stalls in responding, giving no feedback that it is processing my touch. The highlight feature is annoying, the commentary pop up is distracting. I kept the app this long because of the content and hoped the app would improve. I admire ArtScroll, but they don’t do mobile apps. It is reliable to display appropriate content, but not reliable to work. That is why I rate it 1 star. **Developer response:** Unfortunately Apple's latest update to iOS15 has caused an issue here that we have now figured out, and are working on a fix. If you go to Settings and enable Vertical Scrolling, that should solve the loading problem for now. We apologize for any inconvenience, and hope to have it updated as soon as possible! ### 1/5 — doesn't get past "loading version 703" screen *2021-09-10, version 7.0.3* The app is totally unusable for me. It can't advance past the version 703 download screen. I'm using a iphone 12 mini. It appears Artscroll care and want to better their product (as described in the earlier review). My only complaint would be the difficulty to scroll to the next page - you really need to scroll up hard/faster than other apps to change the prayer/page.
