I never followed these artists nor am interested in the style or medium, some are sold already, yet they persist in my feed forever. Similarly, unfollowing artists should signal you’re not interested in their work and you want to see the work of others in your feed, but yet again, there they are showing up every day. If the app is truly built to connect artists with collectors, they need to get this right. A simple thumbs down to teach the algo would go a long way. Also I wouldn’t be leaving this public review, if they had responded to my private attempts at providing feedback. **Developer response:** Hello, thank you for this valuable feedback. This includes the glitchy inbox, which you cant organize or clear out. I bought a piece and realized the sizing wouldn’t work for the wall, client, etc., in the end. To cancel the offer, I have to email Artsy over and over. They say 24 hours which I emailed about 5 times in 24 hours to make sure. It saves all your files locally (not on the cloud), so when you switch to a new phone, your entire collection is lost, even if you sign in. You’ll have to start over, including any artworks you purchase through the app. I’m incredibly frustrated because I’ve been using it to track everything, and now it’s all gone. ### 1/5 — Artsy *2025-02-02, version 8.62.0* Bit of a tricky app some sellers claim to do 50% discount if you send them an offer but then they say it’s sold out you’ve Gotta be careful on the auctions also because the prices can double by the time they add extra hidden costs packaging handling fees and postage . Not forgetting import tax if the seller isn’t in the same Country as u . Buyer Beware ### 1/5 — Seems to be broken *2025-01-03* Cant edit artworks in my collection “editing will be available once the submission process is complete” But no submission process in sight. Shame, I was hoping to keep using this to track my art collection. ### 1/5 — Not even close to a decent App *2024-10-27, version 8.54.0* I cannot believe you even put this out there. Half the text is chopped off, searches show tiny thumbnails and overlap…. ### 1/5 — SCAM PLATFORM *2024-09-24* I was registered for an auction on Artsy with a client auction house. Next time I will deal with an auction house directly rather than use Artsy as a platform. This is because Artsy does not verify that an auction will actually take place on their platform. I was using their live auction feature and I thought it was very intuitive, however 7 lots from the time I was interested in, the auction mysteriously ended and I was sent an email from Artsy saying I missed out on the item I was attempting to bid on. The problem is, the item never went live on the app! and also the supposed “sale” price was 100 dollars above my highest bid. Very suspicious if you ask me. I emailed support and they would just lie to me and refuse to take any sort of action towards this situation. They continuously told me that the sale did go live, and I simply was “outbid at the last second.” This is ridiculous because that auction didn’t have a timer that was a set countdown, the time would fluxate on bid interest. I think this platform is very shady, and I think they had a technical issue which didn’t sync up to their client site, and they refuse to acknowledge and take accountability for their mistake. It’s crazy I missed out on an item over 100 Euros. Absolutely insane. But the worst is trying to close your account Artsy ignores e-mail so I have to send a legal registered letter to stop them from renewing my account Over $10,000 to use for a year slim to none customer service One of the worst online sites I have ever dealt with. I had to add a phone number in code just to continue discussing a sale that Artsy would offer no help with. I agreed to continue discussion after I ended my account. The buyer received no support on his end and explained that he felt badly that Artsy was near impossible to deal with.
