I have used similar gps tour guides in Hawaii and Canada that were fantastic, and had high hopes for this one but it is awkward to have to get to the starting point and doesn’t play when it is supposed to. Was a complete waste of money and I would return it if I could. Very limited stories and ‘guiding’. **Developer response:** Hi there, thank you for sharing your feedback. The first audio in each tour explains the route, timing, and what to expect, and the full tour details and stop list are also available before purchase. Here are a few suggestions for improvement: 1. The app froze multiple times, requiring a restart and causing unnecessary delays. 2. Instead of offering one cohesive tour of the island, it’s split into three separate ones. This leads to some backtracking and repetition — we heard the pirate story three times! 3. Several key island sites were missing, including the natural pool, national park and Baby Beach, which are major attractions. The narrative is Eurocentric and unfortunately minimalizes and misses so much history of the nonwhite communities on Aruba. Please update to make this tour much richer! ### 3/5 — Mostly Good *2022-01-27* This guide helped me to visit some places I wouldn’t have gone to otherwise. All of them are appropriate for a regular rental (no 4wd needed). I’d purchased the entire pack. Some of the directions and triggered cues could’ve been placed a better trigger points. The information was up to date except for the second gold mill. Regardless, the ap worked well. Annoyances included the dozen times a pop up asking for a review and feedback kept coming up. In other parts, the narration was taking place right as I wanted to see the map or at an intersection, resulting in some wrong turns. I wouldn’t recommend the Oranjestad portion. Yay, let’s track down a few blue horses in the heat of Aruba. I’d rather have that portion highlight landmarks, museums, etc. **Developer response:** Thank you for your detailed feedback! It took us to interesting places we wouldn't have found on our own, showing us the island's history and variety in just three hours. I purchased the full app as we toured the island in our own timing and it was truly amazing. The details of the narration and the history of the island allowed us to stop and go whenever we pleased or not depending on the descriptive site. A must have for anyone who plans on visiting the island and not wanting to pay for an individual or company tour guide.
