I really wish they’d figure out a fix because I love the concept but the execution is terrible. I tell my students not to waste their money…. I’m unable to submit feedback directly from the app as “something went wrong” 1. Bookmarks are arranged in order that you set them, not something logical like in order of page number, or customizable. 2. I’d like to be able to delete older books from my library but that’s not an option. 3. In the FAR/AIM and FAR-FC books it would be nice to have additional menu/table of contents available to get to sub parts of Chapters instead of only being able to go to the beginning of Part 91 - a huge chapter. 4. It’s annoying that this app is the only legitimate way to read the books I spent good money on, yet it keeps crashing and losing my place. Have had to delete and re-install the app multiple times now. Makes me long for an actual paper book. ### 1/5 — Keeps crashing *2025-02-22* While using the app, my iPad gets hot and the app crashes. When I look at the crash log, it’s been running too much CPU for more than the allowed time in iOS. I have no idea what it’s doing in the background that is so CPU intensive, but I have to restart the app and then I’ve lost my place and a few minutes later it crashes again for overuse of the CPU. I bought the FARAIM and used this app to access. Horrid search. Try searching for 1-1-17, you can’t. Is it accessible from the outline? No. Do the thumbnails work? No. Can I copy a word to search? No. Can I scribble with Apple Pencil? No. Why did I pay for this? When a company insists no refunds at purchase, that’s a big red flag. They already know it’s a dud. The bookmarks are not functional, and they can’t be deleted or edited from the bookmark menu. You can only log in from one device at a time to read the books you purchased. ASA clearly has no incentive or plan to fix this application, they know you have no choice but to use their garbage product. ### 1/5 — Extremely Buggy *2026-03-16* This app is full of bus that cause it to crash constantly. Features that are standard in any reader app like highlighting and note-taking are also much harder to use in this app. Fittingly even the feedback function doesn’t work. If I want to buy another ASA book in the future, I’ll be using iBooks. ### 1/5 — Really terrible experience with ASA *2026-03-10* My fault for not checking ratings and reviews first, but my experience with ASA’s ePub books has been absolutely awful. In fact, ASA as an organization is really terrible to deal with. This app is completely broken, and looking at reviews it has been since inception. The web experience for their books is just as bad. For some reason, in 20-friggin-26, this organization can’t hire competent web developers. Trying to navigate these books is just so buggy and terrible. Honestly, I think I’m going to attempt a charge-back on my cc so I never have to deal with this incompetent, antiquated boomer club ever again. ### 1/5 — Clean up the bugs please! *2025-12-30* The app randomly crashes often. Either after crashing or just when opening the app after a few days, it doesn’t pickup where I left off, taking me back several pages, so I waste time going over the same material again. Since I use the iPhone and iPad to study the materials, I often find the same issue, where the app doesn’t remember where it was last time and I again have to review the material twice. So much time wasted. I’ve tried closing the book and opening it again and it always takes at least 2 times to properly update. ### 1/5 — Hard to Use *2025-11-23* Incredibly difficult to use, even worse not on phone. Since logging-out of my Android app, the iPad app has been working well. I would prefer to be able to go back-and-forth between apps, but this is ok. ORIGINAL REVIEW: It was working very well until about December 26th, then started crashing after several minutes of being open. Upon re-opening, it takes me somewhere I’m not working in the material, so I have to manually search for where I was working. Every time it crashes, it takes me back to the same incorrect place where I’m not working.
