La Asamblea Legislativa de Costa Rica es el Primer Poder de la República. En ella el pueblo delega la potestad de legislar por medio del sufragio. Su organización está en el Título IX, capítulo I de la Constitución Política. Está integrada por 57 diputados, electos mediante el popular y de acuerdo con la proporción de la población en las provincias.
