There’s also no way to update the order status. Many restaurants are still making the food when we arrive and our delivery times REMAIN the SAME regardless of having long restaurant waits. The notifications are OVERKILL. Yesterday I received 104 notifications from asap and most of these were received while I’m already using the app and working, very inconvenient and unneeded. I know I can turn off notifications completely, but I shouldn’t have to. Makes me not want to use the app at all. And once we decline an offer, they keep sending us the same offer we rejected. I rejected the same offer 4 times yesterday before just turning off the application. They terminate accounts for low acceptance rates but send us the same order we’ve already declined multiple times, and our acceptance rate plummets as a result. Maybe add the option for us to select a reason WHY we won’t accept the order and get to know the drivers more; instead of forcing the orders on us after we decline it. I can see why people enjoy the other gig apps more. This technology needs a major upgrade. Using this app feels like I’m in the year 2000. Spend a little more money to make a better application and your overall business will flourish. ### 2/5 — Has potential, but needs a lot of work *2023-03-24* It seems like ASAP orders pay more on average than orders I get via DoorDash or Uber. I also get fewer fast food orders, which is definitely a plus. Pretty much everything else has been a disappointment. My opinion is if you can’t have a great app, you should have great customer service and vice versa. I shouldn’t be the one to say it, but phone support for a driving gig is kinda imperative. If I have an issue with my order, I’m forced to pull over and have a text conversation and waste precious time. BUT, if they have an issue with your order they can call you. Just swell! I’ve had ten deliveries and only two of them have been delivered on time, and only by a couple of minutes. The other eight have been anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes late because the delivery time had already expired when I received the order. How long can that continue before customers jump ship? ### 2/5 — Proof of delivery photo too long to upload. *2022-12-23, version 4.5.0* System on proof of delivery is awkward and not customer friendly. Photo takes long time to upload and sometimes freezes up on iPhone. Drop Off instructions are not clear. Text customer and proof of delivery does not flow. Does proof of delivery photo get sent to customer? If the photo freezes how long does it take to get it to the customer if it’s freezing on my end? What if customer is at the door before proof of delivery photo is taken? Is that all that is needed? If it just says text customer does that mean leave at the door. You all need to pretend you are a driver before launching an update! ### 2/5 — Can’t even go online now *2022-12-02, version 4.4.0* Everytime I try to turn it on it just stays loading also not long ago they deactivated for being inactive. But they don’t h e enough deliveries in my area to make them a priority. Either way that clearly shows they lie when they say make your own schedule and be your own boss. But the app doesn’t work very often. I recently moved to an area that actually has Waitr. I used to live an hour away and was only able to work for Waitr maybe 12 times last year. Now that I live here I try to open the app at least once a week and it just spins and spins and spins. I’ve reported it. The chat person said they would tell upper management because they couldn’t find anything wrong with my app or my account. That was like 2 weeks ago and still nothing. It’s just spinning and spinning. I just did an update today and the app changed the logo over to ASAP. But it just won’t let me “start driving.” Just spins. **Developer response:** Thanks for the review! You can also email us at drivers@deliverylogistics.io with any issue you may be having. ### 2/5 — No orders *2022-07-03, version 3.55.1* I’m not sure if it’s my area but I drove around for 2.5 hours and didn’t get a single order and all it tells me to do is drive to a more populated area and I did and still got nothing. I don’t understand why it doesn’t just us a hot zone where people are placing there orders. At one point I was on it for so long the app literally stopped driving for me because I hadn’t gotten anything. ### 1/5 — This app is not worth it at all, don’t download it *2022-06-25, version 3.55.1* This app is horrible, always has issues, every week there is a pay outage and they can’t pay you until a couple days after. So if you try and get your money out after you’ve earned it, sorry you can’t. They partner with Bank of American the worst bank to ever be partners with. Their app is always having problems and they lie about fixing them. And the pay is joke. Get out of food delivery these apps are not worth it. You can’t even go and make money for one day because there app is always down. Read the other reviews I’m not the only one. ### 2/5 — If only this were Uber Eats or DoorDash instead *2022-06-13, version 3.55.1* Let me just preface by saying: waitr isn’t horrible. Sure, at the end of the day it serves its purpose and in certain markets (particularly SW Louisiana and East Texas) the orders really do pop. However that’s the only nice things to be said about this archaic, ugly, and low paying app. Compare this thing to what Uber Eat’s app is like and it’s night and day. From ease of use, to streamlining and maximizing, right down to how just getting ur hard earned money from Waitr any sooner than their weekly (every two weeks) direct deposit is a scam and the fees associated with withdrawing the $$ are ridiculous. Talking between 1.99 and 2.99 JUST TO WITHDRAW THE MONEY IVE EARNED. But hey, what do they care? If you’re the type of driver who is, frankly, barely scraping by and withdrawing $ once or twice during ur nightly shifts to cover gas along the way (or whatever) then Waitr will make you feel like not only that this App isn’t for you but that it was designed to specifically hinder delivery drivers while especially enriching the guy that owns it Tillman “the rockets deserved better” Nefertiti-Fertata, IIII LONG STORY SHORT: only use this delivery app as a last resort when Uber, DoorDash, or Grubhub have utterly failed. **Developer response:** Thanks for the review BlizzardtheGAWD. The initial problem was where it would take forever for the screen to change to whatever command I gave it, it would just keep loading without updating certain information like my payout amount. I took a 3 month sabbatical from delivering and now that I’m trying to deliver again, the app won’t even get past the login screen, which means I’m not able to deliver. My phone is up to date and I’ve reinstalled the app countless times to see if that would fix it but it didn’t. My account was even reset by the company and that still didn’t work. Might be a lost cause. ### 3/5 — Good but needs improvement *2022-06-05, version 3.54.0* The pay can be okay at times but there is much needed improvement in so many areas. For example, how do I know when it's busy? You all will send me a notification but I'll have to hurry up and get on the road (if I'm not already driving), but when I hurry up to where it's busy then it's no longer busy. The fact that I just drove out and seems dead now is extremely annoying but maybe one day there will be an option to know when it's busy! My only concern ### 1/5 — NOT COMING THROUGH *2022-06-03, version 3.54.0* My app is LITERALLY open and the order doesn’t come through. It’ll show a notification that I have an order but it won’t show up. Then right after it sends the notification , it sends another one saying my order was released when I never even got the order. Also , when my app is open & I’m on it , I don’t get orders. As soon as I get off of it for anything else , it’ll release an order that I never got a notification for , but it’ll send one when the order was released. Another thing , I don’t get orders like I used to when I first started doing Waitr. I used to get up to 4 orders at a time (it was 5 once as well). I used to get orders as soon as I came into Jackson. Now , I literally drive around wasting gas WAITING on an order to come to my phone. UPDATE: Now , I’m barely receiving orders compared to last week. I’m only getting 3-4 a day and it’s NOT WORTH me driving a WHOLE hour. Y’all really need to compensate us on gas. I fill my tank up EVERYDAY just from Waitr and GAS IS NOT CHEAP. My tank itself is $50 & I’m not going to mention how many miles I’ve put on my car😒. I hope that it gets resolved very soon. I’m using an apple iphone se with updated software. also I wish that we could see our tips and earnings for each order quicker cause right now we have to wait till the next day to see them. ### 1/5 — App Doesn’t Send Order Notifications Half the Time *2022-05-18, version 3.53.0* The app sends me notifications all the time that I missed an order opportunity before I even get the notification for the order. Waitr Support tells me that my internet speed is too slow, but every other internet app on my phone works just fine with high speeds. I’ve called literally dozens of times to address it, and no one will help. The app is cheap, and no one in the tech department cares or knows what they’re doing. Find someone else to work for, because Waitr doesn’t care if this app works or not. ### 1/5 — Not Impressed *2022-04-25, version 3.51.0* The GPS used in the old app worked a lot better than what we have to use now. I don’t know about anyone else, Google Maps GPS stops working after the first turn. Not good. For the Waze program, for a house, it is always 3 houses off. For apartments, forget it. Waze will put you on the other side of the complex for fun. I am sick and damned tired of being penalized for not taking a delivery when I’m trying to complete the delivery I am working on. If I accept a second delivery while trying to deliver the first order and am having trouble finding the place, now I have to almost always turn the phone off, wait 10 seconds to let the memory clear, boot the phone back up, and then FINALLY resume finishing the first order. To keep this from happening, I have to decline the second order so I don’t have to do the phone reboot routine. I was making very good money with it and I made it my main source of income. I ended up going on vacation for a week. I came back only to find my account had been deactivated for no actual defined reason and I was literally told that they deactivate me whenever they wanted to for no actual reason bc that’s what the terms and agreements said. I had great ratings but a low acceptance rate only because I wanted to take the higher paying orders such as $10+ (because who wouldn’t). That was the only problem I could see with my work. Delivery logistics doesn’t even have an actual phone number to call. You have to email them and they will get to you when they feel like it. I looked it up and many other ppl have had the same problem as me. Also a huge con is the app being so weird to use especially because it doesn’t take actual time into account or leave any time fire waiting for the order, traffic delays, or etc. All I can say is they can do better. ### 1/5 — Horrible customer service *2023-06-06* This app does not allow you to finish one order. When you were trying to complete one order and they sent you another order it intercepts the work you’re doing on that order if you take a picture it automatically deletes the picture. This app expects you to go 10 to 15 miles for six dollars per delivery if you were going past 5 miles it shouldn’t only be six dollars per delivery. I live in Pineville Louisiana, which is neighboring cities with a Alexandria Louisiana. They will ask you to go to a Alexandria Louisiana for six dollars and have to deliver it all the way back to Pineville and it’s unfair and it is like highway robbery. I look forward to in the future a lot of lawsuits with the federal trade commission with this app. You driving, non-diverse areas. You’re not see you accidentally pool in the wrong driveway. Guns are being pulled out on you. It’s not worth your life or your gas for the mileage on your vehicle. ### 1/5 — Didn’t Get the Chance *2023-02-14, version 4.6.1* I downloaded the app sign up created my account put all my bank stuff in and then when I tried to sign in it said my password wasn’t correct. So I was like dang I know that’s right…I just made it. So I keep trying and never worked, tried resetting password but couldn’t because the reset email never came to my email lol smh. Tried to contact customer support and that has been 2 weeks ago. So I give up. Never got to use the app one time ### 1/5 — Deactivated *2023-02-13, version 4.6.1* They terminated my contract without warning. Got the email today and I have been doing orders for approximately 2 years. There is not a number to contact. Sometimes I got the released orders and never the recommended. I did really well the last couple weeks. I have been doing everything right and not had any complaints. I wish I could not even leave a star. They just need to do away with ASAP and they need to file for bankruptcy. Too many people getting deactivated due to being late on orders and it’s going under. Not a great way to treat hard working people who are trying to make a living. Waitr was great but this ASAP needs to go. ### 1/5 — Crashes on photo , can’t see map *2023-01-31, version 4.6.1* In short app doesn’t seem to process taking photos for delivery confirmation very well. That wouldn’t bother me so much, but there also seems to be no way to get around taking a photo to complete a delivery.I don’t think I have had a delivery that asked for photo where the customer didn’t just come out and get the food anyway. I am not knocking on doors, they are literally coming and getting the food When I get there. there needs to be someway to skip photos. I don’t know if this is the case on other phones, but on an iPhone 6, I don’t think I can even see a full quarter inch of map at the top of the screen, and trying to scroll down does nothing. It gets really difficult to plan trips or whether or not I should accept an offer when I can’t get an idea of where the pick up drop off points are relative to where I am. The mileage estimates also seem kind of suspect to me. This app just doesn’t feel really fleshed out. ### 1/5 — Do NOT drive for them (deactivated after hurricane Ian) *2023-01-11, version 4.6.1* Horrific experience as a driver for them. They don’t have good support for drivers. Long story short: I was deactivated without reason. I am a top driver for every food delivery app but this is the only one I had an issue with. Support will not contact you or inform you of any issues with customers who are trying to scam, they will just deactivate you and they don’t need a reason to as we are independent contractors. Stay Away as a driver, it’s not worth wasting your time! I’m now driving fully for “Deliver That.” Amazing catering app and amazing support staff!! Doordash, Uber Eats (also owns postmates, seamless), Grub Hub. With these you can’t go wrong. They deactivated me after hurricane Ian decimated this area!!!!! They don’t care!!! They survive by exploiting uneducated and desperate drivers, convincing them to take deliveries at a loss while tricking them into believing the few pennies they are making at the moment is worth it. There is a reason they use independent contractors to do the work. If they could make a profit buying their own cars and hiring drivers, then they would. The fact is, working for ASAP is NOT PROFITABLE. This is a verifiable fact. The IRS can confirm. ### 1/5 — Do not recommend *2022-07-06, version 3.55.1* I never even did deliveries because the app was incredibly intrusive and annoying. It wants to track you 24/7 which is an invasion of privacy. I don’t mind the tracker being on when delivering but that should be it. No matter how hard I tried to turn off the notifications, I kept getting them. Meaning every time I was driving to the city, it knew and kept trying to send me jobs. I tried everything to shut it off with no luck. Eventually deleted the app. Then I was constantly getting texts from them as well and had to put a stop to that. If you want to click it on and do some deliveries and not be contacted when you have no intent to deliver, this is not the app for you. So I redownlaoded the app and tried to log in to my account but it said it was deactivated, so I figured if I emailed delivery logistics I’d be able to reactivate it but they emailed me back in a matter of five minutes telling me I’m not eligible for reactivation and it will stay deactivated. Makes no sense to me because I didn’t do anything wrong, but overall it’s just a bad app and a bad system! ### 1/5 — A joke *2022-06-27, version 3.55.1* This app is a joke now.. the new update constantly wanted u to leave the tracking on even when not using it, and if u turned it off they punish you for it but deactivating your account. And the orders are a joke they don’t pay worth crap and gas is high 5$ for a 14 miles drive one way is redick considering how high gas is! Just save your time and effort and don’t use this app! It’s a joke and you loose money!!! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — It is great for me *2022-10-27, version 4.3.0* I started using waitr maybe 6 months ago just for fun. I also do doordash for fun. I have a good paying job but I have extra time on my hands so I like to make extra money. My area is dominated by Doordash, Waitr is loosing customers sadly. I enjoy the app because it doesn’t put pressure on me like doordash does and I can just start driving whenever I want. I’ve done maybe 100 deliveries and I only accept orders of $10 or more; yes, since waitr lost momentum in this area, waitr lost drivers and customers so now to regain they pay more per order so the order is picked up quickly and delivered. I don’t get many orders but I don’t care to get many orders anyway. Doordash on the other hand, sends plenty of orders, but I can’t dash unless it’s busy (my acceptance rate is 9%) and they send a lot of low paying orders which I decline immediately. I don’t find much wrong with waitr so far, but again, this is just fun for me. Hopefully Waitr regains customers and trust. More so than the other companies. With the hardship in the world today, I lost my employment with my primary job but have been driving with Them for 5+ years. So when busy it’s fun! When it’s not so busy, I log into school and start designing 3D animation with the phone on the wireless charger till orders start popping again. It’s a really nice gig for anybody that likes to make extra money on any schedule. ### 5/5 — Better than Uber eats or door dash *2021-08-21, version 3.38.2* From my short time on the beta app and short time on this new app I’ve noticed more tips and higher payout in general than other food delivery parties. ### 5/5 — Waitr is making moves *2021-07-16, version 3.37.0* I’m definitely impressed with Waitr, in my opinion, over the past 6 months or so they have constantly been telling us to update this or update that, combining apps and asking for feedback from the drivers. I’m liking the direction they are going, trying to keep this as simple as possible. I do wish that we as drivers had a rating system on our profile that customer’s could answer a few questions about the delivery process and bam, there you go. Somethings are out of our control and those should be removed from management. I work for another company and me personally, I constantly refer back to my ratings. I want to know how the customer feels I’m treating them (that’s what really matters), not how I feel I’m treating them. Also, if they could give the distance from where we are to the pickup location and to the drop off location as soon as the order is being sent out, that would be helpful. Instead, we have to accept order to see total mileage and then can release order. I hate releasing an order. **Developer response:** Thank you! At this point, I’m awkwardly having to explain to customers that I need to take a picture of the food in their hand to prove to them that I’ve delivered it. It’s weird for everybody involved. ### 4/5 — Notifications aren’t acceptable to me *2023-01-09, version 4.6.1* I like this app in so many ways but one thing I have a problem with is the Notifications. I will get all notifications to my phone but the only ones that sound are the ones I receive when I have the app opened. I have literally been on my phone reading articles while waiting for deliveries and never seen a notification for multiple orders on multiple occasions. I then began to look in to why that was, and I came to find it only sounds or shows an alert when I have the app opened on my phone. They apparently have network issues because my weekly ranking sometimes says my acceptance rate is much lower than it should be (68% once when I accepted another 60 orders out of 60. It still sometimes log you off, so you need to keep your eye on it. ### 4/5 — Fix please *2022-02-17, version 3.48.0* Pretty great app, easy to use. Only problem I have is that when I’m in a new area visiting or anything it won’t let me change locations.
