Helpful, but lacking
There’s also a max work out time each day? which makes no sense if the goal is to encourage me to workout more. So if i go on a several hour hike i can’t count it all?
I’m really not a review leaver usually but I really think this app could be game changer if it worked out a few kinks, making it line up more with typical situations lime forgetting a log or wanting to include all my exercise would turn it into a real game changer!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your feedback. We really appreciate you trying it out and giving us specific things you think could be improved. This is exactly the type of review we want to receive from our early community. Ascended is still under active development so rest assured there will be major improvements made to the app. We initially implemented the 90 min daily cap so that users can pace themselves through the story without consuming the content too quickly and to protect from over training. I'm sure you can appreciate that balancing systems like this (awarding xp and leveling for different training types) can be complex. However, we don't want this to continue to be something that turns dedicated users away from the app so we are searching for a solution. We also recently rolled out our Apple Health integration so that users who forgot to log their workouts can import their activity directly from the health kit and still receive xp days after their missed workout. We realize this isn't available to everyone as not all our users use other workout apps or have wearable device. Rolling out a missed workout option is definitely on our roadmap for our Train feature. We appreciate your support in using the app as one of our early community members and understand if you'd like to pause and rejoin after major updates have been rolled out but we hope you'll continue using the app in the meantime.
Do I need a subscription?
Response from developer
Hi Rue! If you move forward with a free trial, it does require you to submit payment info but you will not be charged for 14 days until the trial ends. You can cancel your subscription auto-renewal right after signing up so you are not charged after the 14 days while still enjoying the app experience for two weeks. If you use Apple Pay, you can manage this in your iphone settings under subscriptions. If you use a credit card, you can manage this in the App Store. You can also manage your subscription settings directly in the Ascended app, under Profile -> Settings -> Subscription.
Wonder app and wonderful staff
The staff is also great. I recently had an issue with logging in and the staff on the support line was so helpful and responsive.
I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to gamify working out.
