### 1/5 — absolute waste of time

*2025-08-10, version 7.4.005*

i logged in, tried to click on refill by list, it took me back to the login screen. i logged in again, it took me back to the main page. i hit refill by list again, and it took me to the login page once again. it is stuck in a loop of returning back to the login page evidently and does not let you do anything else but keep logging in. the website isn't better, it does the same exact thing. ascension: hire competent human app and website developers. total waste of time.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2025-08-10, version 7.4.005*

It’s a constant cycle of trying to log in. It’s not working!! Did the app! It’s not like we have a choice in whether we want to use Ascension or not… it’s our only option as Ascension employees. The least you can do is make the app useable.

### 1/5 — Unbelievably bad

*2025-07-29, version 7.4.005*

This app is useless. It should not be that difficult to login, see a list of my prescriptions, and refill them. Instead, I get prompted to create another account every time I try to do anything. The app will not scan the barcode on my prescriptions to refill that way either.

### 1/5 — Run by incompetent people

*2025-04-18, version 7.4.005*

If you sign up and use Ascension Pharmacy, DO NOT change your phone number! You will never get it changed in their system so that you can use the app or website! I am an established customer, changed my phone number, now describing this an horrific nightmare is way too complimenting to them.

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2025-04-14, version 7.4.005*

The functionality of this app is very poor. I do not find it useful, and would rather open my browser and log into the website.

1) User is forced to log in every single time the app is opened. It is a huge pain point that the user needs to log in with their Ascension ID so often, especially since log-in is not an in-app experience and requires MFA.

2) No true “Home Screen” and poor navigation. The Home Screen and Menu are the same. There’s no clear user progression and there are way too many options. I’d like to see a bottom footer with three screen options and a menu icon to click and display all the rest.

3) Critical need for a “My prescriptions” page. I want an in-app page that lists all of my prescriptions with Ascension Rx. From there, I want to be able to click into and see if it was accepted by Ascension RX, when it was last refilled, a tracking number if it is en route to be delivered, and an option to auto refill.

4) Zero visibility into phase from order submitted by provider to order accepted by Ascension RX. If you had a My Prescriptions page, you could have a section for pending prescriptions to at least indicate you’ve received the order. Usually days go by before I know the prescription was received, but if I go to my local retail pharmacy app I can see that right away. This is a huge problem.

5) Ascension Rx as a service (aside from app functionality): Aside from the disappointing app, this mail order service is disappointing as a whole. Why was Texas chosen as the fulfillment center? Knowing Texas has strict laws about prescriptions written by providers who are not MDs or DOs? I live in the rural Midwest where we don’t have many MDs practicing family medicine. I see an NP as my primary care provider, and she prescribes my routine allergy and asthma medication. Because my state doesn’t require her to have a supervising MD to sign off her prescriptions, ascension Rx can’t fulfill my prescriptions. There is no MD available to sign off. And today I have no inhaler and am unprotected from an asthma attack. Now I need to go back to my provider, and tell her to resend it to a LOCAL pharmacy to fulfill it.

6) “Maintenance medication” definition. This term is misleading. Some of what I use as maintenance medication is a controlled substance. And ascension Rx should be very clear upfront that they cannot fulfill these. Why are they able to accept prescriptions for schedule II controlled substances if they can’t fulfill them? And why does it take so long to notify the patient so we can go back to our provider and give them a LOCAL retail pharmacy to send it to?

Ascension Rx has been filled with significant pain points from day 1. I will not be using them in the future and plan to move all my prescriptions back to Walmart—no matter the increase in cost. No savings is worth these frustrations.

### 1/5 — Log in issues

*2024-12-09, version 7.4.005*

This app and website makes me change my password every time I log in. Very frustrating

### 1/5 — Useless!! Zero stars should be an option

*2024-11-03, version 7.4.005*

This app does not work at all. Constantly redirects to login. Tried forgot my password link just in case, get a code sent to my email and the app says it’s wrong. I type it in myself. It’s wrong. I use copy and paste. It’s wrong. If you’ve ever dealt with Ascension in any other capacity, then the complete lack of functionality of this app should be no surprise. Absolutely useless!!!!

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-09-23, version 7.4.005*

The app is completely useless. Whenever I log in, it acts like I have never used it before and requires that I add a Rx number. I want to cancel 2 prescriptions, but they don’t appear on the app. The prescriptions appear on the website, but there is no way to cancel future refills (I stopped using the medication). This is important because some prescriptions are set to auto refill and I don’t want unwanted refills to be processed.

### 1/5 — Does. Not. Work.

*2024-09-07, version 7.4.005*

It’s frustrating to be forced to use a pharmacy with an app that does not function.

### 1/5 — App forces me to re-register

*2024-03-11, version 7.4.005*

I’ve been using this app for a year and suddenly when I sign in it says “Hello Unknown!” I click Refill From List and it’s making me re-register. I fill in the information and then it says I already have an account. The online account lets me log in and it says, “Hello Shelley!” but it still makes me go through the same re-registration process with the same outcome.
In the past I’ve received texts reminders asking if I want to refill my orders. I haven’t received anything in a while. Knowing their history of taking three weeks to send meds, I’m concerned that I will run out before I can get my refill. Ascension has done a real disservice to their employees by forcing this on them.

### 1/5 — The app works for common tasks such as refills but…

*2024-02-27, version 7.4.005*

What is the point of having an app if I have to call in to change my address?
I couldn’t update payment info until I called in to find out that I had to call in to change my address. Please put some kind of notice such as “Call this number to change your address”. After multiple attempts and being stuck in an endless loop and getting an error about a problem with my account, I gave up & called in.
Please address this in a future release.

### 1/5 — App doesn't work

*2024-01-15, version 7.4.005*

Requires a Rx # to log in. Doesn't recognize real Rx # by typing or scanning. Forgets accounts. Forgets passwords.

REAL MESS!

### 1/5 — Trash

*2023-11-06, version 7.4.005*

This app is horrible Ascension should be ashamed

### 1/5 — App is poorly executed

*2023-08-24, version 7.4.005*

The actual refill service is fine. When calling, the staff is helpful and can resolve most issues quickly. The problem is the app itself. Moving from one menu item option to another logs you out, so checking any information requires multiple logins. There is also no way to verify or update the shipping address, or any other information beyond your payment information. Overall the interface is clumsy and lacks most features needed for this to be successful without the need for a phone call to support. It doesn’t interface with any insurance or medical records system. The webpage is even worse than the app.

This app looks to be the result of going live with a minimally viable product just for the sake of saying that they have a mobile app like everyone else.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2023-06-22, version 7.4.005*

I sign in and try to go to my scripts and I get a blank page over and over again Retry the login and still blank. How am o supposed to use this app?

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2022-12-15, version 7.4.005*

Very glitchy and hasn’t been updated in over a year. Doesn’t work well with new phones and updates.

### 1/5 — Worst RX App

*2022-12-11, version 7.4.005*

Seriously the worst RX app I’ve ever had. If they can’t work out the kinks then why even have one? Can’t get meds on time, can’t get the app to work so I can get meds. Then the texts!!!! Why give us the RX # for the med if it’s going to change everytime the doctor has to write a new prescription? Just use the drug name instead!!! I’m tired of trying to get on the app to figure out which med they are trying to refill. Oh and having to be home to receive certain meds is annoying too. Like, just because I’m disabled doesn’t mean I’m home. I have to go to the hospital to do treatments and other things. And I also have a life??? Like… you guys need to fix this.

### 1/5 — Nothing good to say

*2022-09-28, version 7.4.005*

The only word to describe this is utter incompetence. You can’t reach anyone on the phone, they lose prescriptions, and it takes forever for me to get my medications if they come at all. Under no circumstances should they still be operating. Yet another reason to loathe Ascension.

### 1/5 — Virtually useless

*2022-09-13, version 7.4.005*

Offers very little. Seems like Ascension is trying to reinvent the wheel with their mail order pharmacy. CVS, Walgreens, etc all do it better, faster, and easier. You can’t even use touch id with this app but must login each and every time…or when it times out after a few minutes. Laughable.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Needs work

*2026-08-13, version 7.4.005*

I wish there was a way to track the shipment of the prescription on the app and/or the website; and a way to see the price of your refill before submitting the order. You should also be able to adjust the quantity of a refill. Example: instead of having to get 3 Freestyle Libre sensors, you should be able to adjust to 1 or 2 if you’d like. Or if you only want a 60 day supply of pills, you shouldn’t have to fill 90. I understand there being a cap but we should be able to at least lower the quantity. This should all be adjustable in the app instead of having to call.

### 1/5 — Love the pharmacy. Hate the app

*2026-07-01, version 7.4.005*

The app sometimes doesn’t open at all. When it does, you’re constantly kicked out.

### 1/5 — Rarely works

*2026-04-21, version 7.4.005*

I would say this app works about 20% of the time. Typically issues with logging in, requires frequent password changes, the duo authentication never works, etc. Extremely frustrating when just trying to request a refill.

### 1/5 — Nothing works

*2026-04-19, version 7.4.005*

Very poor design, I made updates to card on file information but cant order refills because no card on file. Does anyone ever try using these apps as a patient before publishing this in the website. No point in having an app if I have to call to take care of what I need.

### 1/5 — Terrible Dog excrement

*2026-04-17, version 7.4.005*

Had to give it 1 star. They bypassed standard Quality Assurance testing, ignored basic User Experience (UX) principles, and prioritized a fast launch over functional code. The fact that the only reliable way to fix an app issue is to call their pharmacy staff on the phone completely negates the purpose of having a mobile app in the first place.

### 1/5 — Poor attempt

*2025-10-16, version 7.4.005*

This app is terrible. But, I am not surprised because the Ascension One app is also terrible.

### 1/5 — Pain

*2025-09-20, version 7.4.005*

Nothing issues. Wish I would have never agreed to change pharmacies. The APP is a nightmare. Logs you out. Doesn’t recognize you. After spending 20’minutes inputting my information it logged me out and when I went back it showed I hadn’t input any medications. You’re working with one of the top hospitals in the country. This should be an issues.

### 1/5 — App not working

*2025-08-13, version 7.4.005*

This app has not worked for almost a week now

### 1/5 — Terrible.

*2025-08-13, version 7.4.005*

Terrible.

### 1/5 — Works well, as long as you don’t expect it to you know, actually work.

*2025-08-12, version 7.4.005*

This app, is total garbage. Trying to get a refill on my medications. I log in, hit refill from list. It makes me log in again, hit refill from list and all it does is make me log in again. Is this really the best app that ascension can come up with?? Really wish I could still get me prescriptions refilled from CVS like I used to before they changed the insurance for employees

## Most praised reviews (1 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works well

*2025-03-18, version 7.4.005*

I see that the review stars for this app is quite low and I am not sure why. I installed the app today and everything worked great. After signing up, I was able to see the doctors that I’ve been to and the medicines that I have prescriptions for. When I click on my prescription, it shows me how many refills I have left and I am able to re-order it if I have some left. There are several other features that I have not used, but I believe that the app works well for its main reason for existing, which is to manage your prescriptions.
