Sometimes you have to like exit out the app & sometimes it logs you out . ### 2/5 — Poor design *2026-01-19* I can eventually see all my loans but the screens are very large font and not consistent. Example on one screen I see the two loans and one shows a balance while the other doesn’t and then you have to click to see the balance. Too many clicks to see a good dashboard of your loans. ### 2/5 — Frustrating app. *2025-07-15* I think that this app is not explained well, it is simple to use yet every time I try and click on anything it just continuously tells me I already have an account. Mind you, I know that and km already logged in so im lost as to why they continue to ask and then tell me no. The only change would be showing the balance of the loan alongside the recent payments in the “recent payments” section. We will take your review into consideration as we find ways to improve our mobile app experience. ### 1/5 — Cannot Delete Account on App or Website *2024-08-24* I Googled, searched the FAQ on the Ascent app and website, used the Help section, and still could not find a solution to delete my account. Ultimately, I sent an email to the company and I am awaiting assistance to delete my account. Full disclosure: I applied for a loan, withdrew the application since I got accepted through another lender, and have no open loans with a balance. We are sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience with the app. We’ll continue to find ways to improve. ### 1/5 — There doing some type of fraud there adding money on top of your load *2024-08-17* Every time I log on there’s high amount own on my student loan it can be a couple cents or a few dollar keep in mind a payment is already made and interest is already talking out from that month’s payment is like there a fee to log in and check your balance 😡 ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Sucks *2026-07-24, version 1.38.9* Can’t make a payment on it ### 1/5 — Predatory practices… *2026-04-21* In practices that can only be described as predatory and put into place to deprive loan takers of information to maximize interest charges the app and website offers no way to see your final loan documents, monthly statements (during deferment) to see how much interest you’re racking up, and no interest only auto pay option. I know many will come to Ascent as a must have and last chance funding option, but be aware that Ascent wants to ring you for every penny they can during that deferment period and will deprive you of options and the information that would help you mitigate the amount you need to repay. My advice if you use them is to use a debt repayment calculator and pay as much of the monthly interest as you can during deferment. ### 1/5 — Furious *2026-01-27, version 1.38.3* I don’t like how this app and the website keeps forgetting your email and password and acts as if you never had an account in the first place ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-12-22, version 1.38.1* Haven’t had a make a payment button in 8 months. The monthly cost is outrageously high, as if there weren’t already plenty of other expenses to cover.
