## What is Ascenti Reach?

Instantly complete an assessment, receive a personalised treatment plan and connect with a real physio who will be on hand to keep you motivated and focused on elevating your health.

We believe that everyone should have easy access to great healthcare and the support they need to thrive, free from the constraints of a time or a place.

How does it work?

Together, we'll build up your recovery routine so you are equipped to recover from and prevent back, neck or knee pain for the long term.

Your physiotherapist, together with the app, will guide you through the four phases of recovery, to tackle the root causes of your pain. We build up your strength and your understanding of pain and your body, giving you the tools and belief to overcome and manage your pain now and in the future.

Phase 1: Getting started
We start with an assessment of your back, neck or knee pain through a comprehensive set of questions and movement tests, which we review to create and get you started on your personalised exercise plan.

Phase 2: Reducing pain
Now you are up and running we're looking to cement your regular exercise and learning routine. Ascenti Reach will measure and track your pain improvements with our physio check-ins and progress graphs.

Phase 3: Getting strong
As your pain reduces we start to build your strength and tolerance to load and stress, while also teaching you more about pain and your body for the long term.

Phase 4: Building resilience
You'll likely be feeling little to no pain now and this phase is about making you even stronger than before and ingraining your active habits to reduce the chance of your pain recurring.

Let’s start your road to recovery now.

### 5/5 — Good for structure

*2026-07-06, version 5.2.4*

It keeps you in check with a discipline to aid your recovery
Never seen this before but I personally think it’s excellent.
The videos are great so you know what you’re doing.

### 2/5 — Good start to an app, needs work

*2026-06-29, version 5.2.4*

I like the idea of this app and how it has videos you can watch of the exercises, but it still needs a lot of work. I’ve used a much better physio app before, eg Virtual Lucy. Here are some tips:
As someone doing physio, I want to be able to:
- Do my exercises just with audio cues. Right now I only hear the “start” cue, no end cue, so I don’t know when to stop a rep. I can’t stare at the phone during all my exercises.
- Hear audio cues for counting reps. Some exercises just say “do 10 reps” without a timer/beep. One solution with the Virtual Lucy app is to allow the user to time themself doing one rep, and then repeat that timer/beep 10 times so the user doesn’t have to count the reps themselves, they can just focus on doing the exercise correctly.
- Skim through the video to the part I want to rewatch. Not just pause/play.
- Skip exercises that are painful. Right now, you have to play through all exercises.
- Pause and rewind the exercises. Sometimes I need to pause the timer because eg I have to get the door. Sometimes I want to redo an exercise because I realized midway I was doing it wrong.

### 2/5 — App bugs

*2026-06-22, version 5.2.4*

This app would be great if it worked. Since last update twice it won’t run my workout so not recorded

### 3/5 — Half-baked app

*2026-06-15, version 5.2.3*

Review is just about the app itself - I’m using it as part of in-person physio and generally it’s a good companion, possibly even replacement for some people.

But app itself feels half baked. Exercise has some sound notifications, which might be helpful if we can’t look at screen, but it’s not synced with reps and breaks. App allows you to fill the checking review form… but doesn’t allow you to send it 🤦‍♂️ Articles are nice, but it would be good to have some indicators which has been read. The list goes on, they really should hire someone from UX design, or at least test their own app.

### 1/5 — Basic

*2026-06-11, version 5.2.3*

Better free apps with similar exercises and the Physio check-in function does gets stuck on “Do you have additional comments” you cannot advance so a lack of basic software testing or it’s intended to stop feedback being required so management can just say users are not proving feedback.

### 2/5 — App not working

*2026-06-05, version 5.2.3*

App just stuck on a workout, effectively useless

### 4/5 — A good substitute

*2026-05-30, version 5.2.3*

Have been using the app for two months as part of Vitality and so far it’s been good. The only thing I would say is that it would be helpful if you could speak to a human every so often without having to raise a new request.

### 1/5 — Is anyone testing this?

*2026-05-14, version 5.2.1*

Literally stuck at the start. Enter my referral code and year of birth and then press the start physio button but it is unresponsive and does nothing.

### 1/5 — Awful app didn’t work at all for me!

*2026-05-02, version 5.2.1*

Frozen screens which could not get rid of despite refreshing. Installed reinstalled. Countdown large numbers which couldn’t see on mobile . Don’t really feel I got the best out of physio as I can even get into the app this week at all AWFUL no back button.

### 1/5 — Crashes on startup

*2026-04-21, version 5.2.1*

Have been using for a couple of weeks, app has just stopped opening. Support told me to email and I’ve had no response.
