### 2/5 — Good start to an app, needs work

*2026-06-29, version 5.2.4*

I like the idea of this app and how it has videos you can watch of the exercises, but it still needs a lot of work. I’ve used a much better physio app before, eg Virtual Lucy. Here are some tips:
As someone doing physio, I want to be able to:
- Do my exercises just with audio cues. Right now I only hear the “start” cue, no end cue, so I don’t know when to stop a rep. I can’t stare at the phone during all my exercises.
- Hear audio cues for counting reps. Some exercises just say “do 10 reps” without a timer/beep. One solution with the Virtual Lucy app is to allow the user to time themself doing one rep, and then repeat that timer/beep 10 times so the user doesn’t have to count the reps themselves, they can just focus on doing the exercise correctly.
- Skim through the video to the part I want to rewatch. Not just pause/play.
- Skip exercises that are painful. Right now, you have to play through all exercises.
- Pause and rewind the exercises. Sometimes I need to pause the timer because eg I have to get the door. Sometimes I want to redo an exercise because I realized midway I was doing it wrong.

### 2/5 — App bugs

*2026-06-22, version 5.2.4*

This app would be great if it worked. Since last update twice it won’t run my workout so not recorded

### 2/5 — App not working

*2026-06-05, version 5.2.3*

App just stuck on a workout, effectively useless

### 2/5 — App never loaded again after first use

*2026-02-22, version 5.1.6*

The workouts were good whilst I had access to them, but after that the app never loaded beyond a white screen again.

I ended up just using YouTube physio videos

### 1/5 — App crashing

*2024-10-03, version 5.0.5*

Buggy and crashes

### 1/5 — Too many questions

*2024-09-18, version 5.0.5*

Waste of time . Before sign up I answer more than 50 questions and most of them not even related . Purely waste of time .

### 1/5 — Keeps crashing

*2024-03-22, version 4.4.5*

Waste of time as keeps crashing. Wouldn’t recommend.

### 3/5 — The app keeps crashing.

*2024-03-15, version 4.4.5*

The app stops working after a while and I have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work again.

### 1/5 — Terrible design and functionality

*2024-02-28, version 4.4.5*

This app is absolutely pointless. All it does is videos of your suggested workouts, without actually telling you what’s wrong and what needs improving. Moreover, I’m getting messages from a physiotherapist in the chat and receive multiple emails to switch on notifications, but there are NO NOTIFICATION OPTIONS TO SWITCH ON in settings in the first place. Literally nowhere within the app, nor within Apple Generic settings pertaining to this App.
It also prevents me from sending messages, despite hitting “send” multiple times.
It’s pointless and useless and completely not fit for purpose of physiotherapy.

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2023-03-14, version 4.2.25*

I got part way through the questions and it gave me UNKNOWN_ERROR along with an email address for ascenti. Rubbish.

### 1/5 — Upgrade but still not working

*2022-03-26, version 4.0.5*

Despite yesterdays “Bug Fixes” the App does not work still.
Messaging bust and Daily workout says it is completed as soon as you open the App.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Basic

*2026-06-11, version 5.2.3*

Better free apps with similar exercises and the Physio check-in function does gets stuck on “Do you have additional comments” you cannot advance so a lack of basic software testing or it’s intended to stop feedback being required so management can just say users are not proving feedback.

### 1/5 — Is anyone testing this?

*2026-05-14, version 5.2.1*

Literally stuck at the start. Enter my referral code and year of birth and then press the start physio button but it is unresponsive and does nothing.

### 1/5 — Awful app didn’t work at all for me!

*2026-05-02, version 5.2.1*

Frozen screens which could not get rid of despite refreshing. Installed reinstalled. Countdown large numbers which couldn’t see on mobile . Don’t really feel I got the best out of physio as I can even get into the app this week at all AWFUL no back button.

### 1/5 — Crashes on startup

*2026-04-21, version 5.2.1*

Have been using for a couple of weeks, app has just stopped opening. Support told me to email and I’ve had no response.

### 1/5 — So far it is rubbish

*2026-03-03, version 5.1.8*

I can’t recommend this. I would avoid.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2026-03-01, version 5.1.8*

Tried accessing app for physio exercises. Every time I open the app it just yields a blank white screen. Fix pls

### 1/5 — Doesn’t accept password

*2026-01-04, version 5.1.3*

Unbelievable app, I enter password correctly, then it doesn’t even send it to server for confirmation but automatically shows error saying it should include one upper one lower and a number and be 8+ characters which already have all those…

### 1/5 — Crashes immediately

*2025-10-17, version 5.0.7*

Seemed like a great app for the first few hours I had it but it crashes as soon as I open it now

### 1/5 — No response

*2025-06-06, version 5.0.7*

Terrible app. I’m forced to use this for physio by my health insurance but it’s just generic videos with no indicated support. Nobody responds to the chat or gives any advice, individual programs or support at all. Total waste of time. Pay for a physio if you really want help.

### 1/5 — Buggy, dreadful app

*2024-12-27, version 5.0.7*

I’ve repeatedly gone through the questionnaire to get care only to have it show a blank screen at the end. I have to force close the app, at which point all my answers are lost. Shamefully bad.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good for structure

*2026-07-06, version 5.2.4*

It keeps you in check with a discipline to aid your recovery
Never seen this before but I personally think it’s excellent.
The videos are great so you know what you’re doing.

### 5/5 — Excellent alternative to visiting a physio

*2025-04-14, version 5.0.7*

I have been recommended this app by my health professional and so far I think it’s a very beneficial app for recovery from my injury. The app is very easy to navigate, you are given exercises to suit your injury which has clear instructions for you to do at home. The app reminds you to do the workouts. You have a chat facility to discuss anything with a qualified physio. Great app all round.

### 5/5 — Good review- good app

*2024-10-04, version 5.0.5*

In a world filled with AI-driven services, this app stood out because I genuinely believed I was talking to a human, not just a programmed bot. That’s something I really value in any business. I started using the app this week, and even though it's only day two for me, I feel like I’ve found exactly what I was looking for. They thoroughly reviewed my assessment and personally checked in with me about the issues I’m facing, making the experience feel real and human.

### 5/5 — Love this App

*2022-04-01, version 4.0.5*

I am so impressed with how functional and easy to use the App is, but I’m equally if not more impressed with the superb service I’ve received from the physio team.

Can’t thank them enough

Gillian

### 5/5 — Excellent Physiotherapy

*2021-10-15, version 3.4.3*

I’ve been using this app as part of a clinical trial for 12 weeks, completing the exercises on a daily basis.
The exercises are tailored to my abilities and requirements and have increased gradually with support from the physiotherapists.
I’ve greatly appreciated the ability to complete the exercises in the privacy of my own home and at my convenience, when pushed for time, a set of quick exercises being available, so that there’s really no excuse for not doing them!
I finally feel motivated to do something and trust me, exercise does not come naturally to me.

### 4/5 — A good substitute

*2026-05-30, version 5.2.3*

Have been using the app for two months as part of Vitality and so far it’s been good. The only thing I would say is that it would be helpful if you could speak to a human every so often without having to raise a new request.

### 4/5 — The instruction video is clear

*2026-03-20, version 5.1.9*

The instructions are clear. If the apps could include counting and timing functions to help me keep track of how many repetition I am up to, and how long I am holding onto, this would be brilliant.

### 4/5 — Physio good, app needs work

*2025-11-17, version 5.1.0*

The physio exercises themselves are good, but the app is experiencing some issues with one of my exercises.

At first it would only come up for 3 seconds even though it’s supposed to be a 30 second exercise, now it’s saying I need to do 3 repetitions but won’t stop and I cannot progress past the exercise, meaning I have to end a workout early

### 3/5 — Half-baked app

*2026-06-15, version 5.2.3*

Review is just about the app itself - I’m using it as part of in-person physio and generally it’s a good companion, possibly even replacement for some people.

But app itself feels half baked. Exercise has some sound notifications, which might be helpful if we can’t look at screen, but it’s not synced with reps and breaks. App allows you to fill the checking review form… but doesn’t allow you to send it 🤦‍♂️ Articles are nice, but it would be good to have some indicators which has been read. The list goes on, they really should hire someone from UX design, or at least test their own app.

### 3/5 — Video Demos Could be better

*2024-12-12, version 5.0.7*

The video Demos I find are a bit poor quality and would be better shown by a real person explaining better

I'm also doing foot excersizes but the feet of the cgi person is obscured by the pause button so the user interface could do with improvments
