ASCII Nyra turns photos and videos into ASCII art made from real characters.

Choose presets for numbers, symbols, kana, kanji, and mixed Japanese characters, then shape the look with full color, retro filters, render modes, and precise controls.

Convert photos into ASCII art, transform short video clips, export full-color results, adjust character size, spacing, line height, contrast, brightness, opacity, and blur, and save your favorite settings as user presets.

Choose from rules, crop marks, blocks, scales, and artwork info styles. What you see in the preview is exactly what gets exported. Artwork Info burns the work's details into the margin, so even when shared on social media, the app used to create it remains visible.

■ “ASCII Background” is now “ASCII Motion”
This feature automatically cuts out a person and turns the background into moving ASCII art. We renamed it to make its purpose clearer. Background effects can now be selected from preview cards that show the actual motion.
