### 3/5 — It’s ok…

*2026-08-26, version 1.63.0*

It’s ok and helps with the cost of living prices.
The one thing that annoys me is when the app is updated I have to reset my password… and when I want to reset it… I never get a code sent to my email.

### 1/5 — I will shop else where

*2026-08-16, version 1.61.0*

I’ve been using ASDA Rewards and have been disappointed with my experience recently.

I used my Blue Light Card and built up points, but then ASDA removed them. The app also keeps logging me out, which means I can’t reliably build up my points every time I shop.

On top of this, I’ve noticed that prices have gone up substantially. When you combine the higher prices with the problems I’m having with Rewards, I’m now considering shopping elsewhere.

I hope ASDA looks into these issues, because the Rewards scheme is one of the reasons I chose to shop with ASDA in the first place.

### 1/5 — Rewards/coupons with no relevance. It’s a waste of an app

*2026-08-14, version 1.61.0*

What’s the point of Asda rewards any more?? I get missions with no relevance to my purchases and coupons that are only Asda express, which there are none near me! I used to get missions for everyday items. Now I get them for pharmacy and baby stuff, which is totally pointless. Sort the app out and at least make it relevant to each shopper!! Tesco and Sainsbury’s manage it fine …. Why can’t Asda??

### 1/5 — A reward card that does nothing

*2026-08-12, version 1.61.0*

Is there actually any point to this card anymore. Yes when it first came out it was good, rewards, missions, Xmas savings, but now nothing. You swipe everytime you shop, no reward points. You do online orders, no rewards. My points/pounds hasn’t gone up this year actually it’s gone down as I had under a pound and wasn’t able to convert into a voucher before time ran out on them. Conclusion - Asda Reward Card is a waste of space

### 1/5 — Worth the download

*2026-08-10, version 1.61.0*

As an app it’s fine. As an app for Asda to keep an eye on you as a consumer, and what you buy and spend, it’s fine. As an app to accrue any cash pot money rewards it is TERRIBLE. After the changes it is so hard to accrue any rewards. I live 800 metres from a store, easily spend £500 a month there…. And ZILCH, Nada, Nothing in loyalty rewards.

### 1/5 — Not worth using

*2026-08-09, version 1.61.0*

The most pointless app which I do not even bother scanning anymore . Not had a single reward . Complete waste of time.

### 1/5 — Never recieve any rewards

*2026-08-08, version 1.61.0*

This app used to be good once it started, but it’s been months I recieved no points, even in my big shops. There’s no contact email or anything only call to reach out which I’ve done but got no where. Created a new account on my husbands name instead thinking mine was faulty but nope still the same. I know others have recieved offers for stuff like free nappies and £5 off of certain days but even though I have signed up to the same stuff and almost buy the same things I don’t recieve any of these. It’s ridiculous, puts me right off shopping here now

### 1/5 — Worst rewards ever

*2026-08-08, version 1.61.0*

Worst ever never give u anything i dont even scan it anymore it needs to go back to points

### 1/5 — Waste of Time

*2026-08-08, version 1.61.0*

This used to be a decent rewards programme for doing a regular shop at Asda, now it’s a joke and an absolute waste of time, trying to force you into Express stores or only giving rewards for buying ludicrous items, an absolute joke and shows what Asda thinks of its customers.

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2026-08-08, version 1.61.0*

When I started using the Asda rewards a few years ago as a loyal customer it was great. I was able to build a cash pot up to save for my Christmas shop. It was great getting money off . I spend a decent weekly amount but now get nothing back. Asda clearly are just using it to mine the customer data. So greedy giving nothing back. The new milestones are not good and the couple are not even available in my local store, just a long list of Express Store. Very disappointing Asda, you will get a lot more customers leaving you behind.

### 1/5 — Reward app that gives u nowt

*2026-08-07, version 1.61.0*

Been scanning this for a year and barely get anything back. Just expired vouchers. No notification their expiring terrible app

### 1/5 — Seems pointless

*2026-08-06, version 1.61.0*

Been scanning for months, still on 33p

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work

*2026-08-04, version 1.61.0*

I haven’t met anyone regardless of buying any amount their Cashpot never increased
Maddie gave a response.
From no reply
She doesn’t understand the difference from between some and all.
We are looking at a period greater than two years.
People are spending over a £100 but see no increase in their cashpot from it.

### 1/5 — Asda Rewards - really?

*2026-08-04, version 1.61.0*

How anyone can call this “Asda Rewards” is beyond me. We shop in Asda at least 5 times a week and my cash pot has been 68p since well before Jan!! There are no starred items on the shelves now where you used to earn money on, they only have ridiculous missions for stuff I don’t need let alone want!! I’m sure calling this a “Rewards” scheme must contravene some trading standards act somewhere?
Updating this after a “Developer Response” which was worse than the rewards scheme itself, just a cut and paste of the same response sent to everyone else who said the same as me, pathetic scheme and pathetic response
Time to shop at Tesco and Sainsbury’s me thinks, at least there you get something for “everything” you buy, plus just a side kick… the quality of Asda fruit is shocking

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-08-03, version 1.61.0*

Scan and nothing happens. Very poor. I think Asda want you to read up and find items that add to reward. If you’re researching items you may as well research comparing pricing to rivals and shop at them when they are cheeper making this a pointless waste of time. My partner has deleted it don’t blame her

### 1/5 — Asda

*2026-08-01, version 1.59.0*

Not good build up only to find certain products are out of stock wasted time and effort get your act together Asda!! I’ve already had a delivery from another company due to being poorly. Think I will stick to other company for future (and don’t even bother getting stuff delivered they’re useless)

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2026-08-01, version 1.59.0*

Used this app every time I shopped, was able to use several coupons. Then randomly it logged me out, even though I shop in Asda multiple times a week. I tried to sign back in and it said my password was wrong. Have sent so many requests for password re-set but have never been sent one.
IT support responded to me review with “don’t forget you can re-set your password by requesting a re-set” as stated in review have done this multiple times and it NEVER sends a re-set request. App is garbage.

### 1/5 — no rewards

*2026-07-30, version 1.59.0*

changed app and havent got anything that can build up your cashpot like spend five pound on fruit get a pound etc, near enough worthless app now

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Ptf

*2026-08-29, version 1.63.0*

Not worth having as you do not gain anything from having it. Last year I used to shop at Asda but I have changed over to Sainsbury’s now as nectar rewards you.

### 1/5 — Useless. Deleted.

*2026-08-27, version 1.63.0*

This app logs you out after 30 days and there is no easy way to log back in again other than username and password. Face recognition does not work. There is nothing more frustrating than being at the till when this happens with a long queue of people behind you. App is more trouble than it’s worth. I have now deleted it.

### 1/5 — What’s the point

*2026-08-27, version 1.63.0*

Was really good when it came out a few years ago. We earned a decent amount in our pot that we saved towards Christmas. Now it’s garbage. Missions on stuff we never buy, missions only applicable to Asda express even though our local store is a big supermarket and we spend £200 a week there! We’re earning nothing back. Absolute waste of space rewards program. We’re seriously considering switching to Tesco for our food shopping.

### 1/5 — Cash pot doesn’t update!!!

*2026-08-27, version 1.63.0*

This isn’t the first time this has happened and last time I stopped bothering to scan the rewards card but after a few months it finally updated so this time I have carried on but my cash pot hasn’t updated since MAY and I scan it at least 2/3 times a week as I only shop in Asda! Very frustrating when I spend hundreds of pounds weekly in store.

### 1/5 — Shocking avoid use Tesco!

*2026-08-26, version 1.63.0*

I spent around £250 a week in Asda. I have used Asda rewards for around a year I have 52p in my pot it’s scandalous. All the missions are for express stores only or for things 90% of people don’t buy! I now spend my money in Tesco! At least you get rewards!

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2026-08-25, version 1.63.0*

This was so good when it was first launched but honestly such a complete waster of time now. In the past month I’ve probably spent around £150+ and earned zero in my cash pot! The leanness of the rewards is actually driving me towards Tesco & Lidl whose rewards are actually worthwhile & provide an incentive to shop there. I doubt that this app is worth the cost it takes to develop/ enhance/ maintain tbh, I can’t imagine that anyone - certainly not the everyday customer- benefits from it!!

### 1/5 — Deleting this app and shopping elsewhere

*2026-08-24, version 1.61.0*

Absolute waste of time, zero reward for loyal shoppers
I shop at Asda almost every other day and have spent hundreds of pounds since last November, yet I have barely accumulated £3 in my Cashpot. The app offers are completely useless. I get targeted coupons for stuff I never buy, and the "Missions" are a joke demanding a £75 single transaction just to earn £2 back, or pushing private health consultations and insect bite creams. Unless you spend money on niche items, you get virtually nothing for your everyday shop. Other supermarkets reward customer loyalty automatically; Asda just takes the mick

### 1/5 — The worst supermarket scheme

*2026-08-24, version 1.61.0*

Earn pounds, not points? Despite going to ASDA at least once a week and spending a minim of £10 each time, I’ve made a total of 48p in the past nine months. On top of that I had a notification stating that 9p will expire. I can’t even cash out because the minimum for a voucher is £1. The scheme is very far from earning pounds or even points. Although Asda is my local supermarket, I am going to delete this app and not give Asda any more data.

### 1/5 — No earn history on app

*2026-08-22, version 1.61.0*

According to Google and Asda, I should be able to access my shopping earn/spend history but it does not appear anywhere in the app.

### 1/5 — Pounds not points???

*2026-08-21, version 1.61.0*

So I’ve been scanning the card at the till for months now with nothing being added to the cash pot so I’m deleting this app and shopping somewhere else.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great shopping👌👌👌

*2026-08-27, version 1.63.0*

GREAT IDEA 🍁🍁

### 5/5 — Coupons

*2026-08-13, version 1.61.0*

Just wondering how these Asda Express coupons are useful to me if there isnt even an Asda Express in my county

### 5/5 — As an App, it does work..HOWEVER I wouldn’t bother downloading it.

*2026-07-10, version 1.59.0*

Asda has changed how the rewards system works so much no matter how much you spend in-store, it’s almost impossible to build your cash pot. They give you missions that do not correlate to your shop. I don’t buy half the things they have given me missions for so I have no way of hitting those missions. I can spend £60/80 a day in my local Asda easily and at the end of a month still have only .92p in my cash pot. I have moved my whole shop to Aldi and Lidl. I won’t be loyal to a supermarket that makes a fool out of its loyal customers and makes millions in profits while they do it.

### 5/5 — Best store app around.

*2023-11-03*

Asda rewards is by far the easiest to use and most rewarding out of all the big supermarket reward schemes. The app is easy to use and the star buys are a great little touch. The spin to win wheel was a fun thing during Halloween! I hope we get a Christmas one too. As a blue light card holder I will never shop at another supermarket again due to the fact they don't offer the same kind of reward scheme. Asda have blown it out the park with this one. Their Christmas saver is also a great idea and gives people a reason to shop at Asda. Although it isn’t my closest supermarket, I’ll happily travel that extra mile. Can’t recommend them enough ☺️

### 4/5 — Frustrating

*2026-05-07, version 1.54.0*

This needs upgraded to to users when they’ve been involuntarily logged out of the app.
Many are the times I’ve gone to my local Asda, filled a basket or trolley, swiped all the items through, gone to swipe the app barcode to register my purchases and, for some unexplained reason, I find I’m no longer logged in!
So instead of being rewarded for my loyalty as a customer, I’m mocked!
It’s a big, black mark on your brand, I’m afraid.
Don’t tell me to check before I go in. Sometimes the visits are spontaneous when passing, and with all the bloody logins and passwords a person is obliged to have just to live a life these days, one cannot be expected to have them all committed to memory.
Why don’t you at least introduce an alert setting that lets a user of this app know they have been logged out without their asking so that they don’t get caught out in-store?

### 4/5 — Keeps signing you out

*2026-04-18, version 1.54.0*

stay signed in stupid app and stop signing me out

### 4/5 — Not worth it

*2026-01-22*

Like others who love Asda, I do the majority of my grocery shopping online and since August (when I was gifted a smartphone) had the rewards app, also like many others due to a ‘security update’ by Asda I can no longer access my online shopping (which I need) or the rewards app., I have been over 3 months trying to resolve this, numerous calls to customer services ( I presume not located on this continent) and 2 letters to Asda head office, it just keeps getting passed on and nothing is being done to resolve it, I received an email this morning but even that had been sent incorrectly, I had transferred what money I had in my rewards to the ‘Christmas saver’ but now I cannot access that either, at least reading these reviews I realise I am not the only one but please Asda sort this out!,
Update:- Sorted, took a while but ever so grateful to be able to shop online before Christmas

**Developer response:** Thanks for getting in touch and we're sorry you're having issues. We'd like to understand more about any problems you had so that we can investigate further. Please could you send us a brief description, ideally with a screenshot or screen recording so we can see what you see, to asda@apadmi.com and we'll look into this. Thanks, Beth

### 4/5 — Mostly good app and easy to use

*2024-05-11*

Mostly this is a decent app that helps keep track of the Asda Rewards and easily scan your card, especially since the most recent update.

However there are a couple of small things that could be improved.
Firstly, there is currently a multi line message at the top of the Home Screen about a beef joint and an issue with earning appearing. There is no way to mark this as read or close it and it has no relevance to me, so just takes up space at the top of the screen, pushing the more import information lower on the screen and below the scroll line. Ideally this would have some way to close it, or only show if you've purchase the said beef joint, which is apparently very popular. Congratulations to the beef joint.

The other issue I have is that there is no way to link the Asda Rewards account to the Scan and Go app. Both exist on my phone and when checking out I need to first scan my trolley from scan and go and then open the Rewards app to scan that too. Some way to have this automatically connected and pre scanned when using the Scan and Go app would be fantastic.

Other than that, the app does the job it needs to and is mostly unobtrusive about it.

**Developer response:** We're so glad to hear you're enjoying the Asda Rewards app, Andy🙌 Thanks for your feedback, it's much appreciated and we'll consider both of your suggestions with the wider team as we're always looking for new ways to make Asda Rewards the best it can be for our customers. Thanks, Jess

### 4/5 — Expiration

*2023-07-03*

This is a good app but my only problem is the money expiration part, I’ve noticed that you can create vouchers of over £100 & yet every so often I get a reminder that a certain amount of money that I’M trying to save will expire at a certain time so I need to create a voucher so I don’t lose it, well I don’t like this feature of the app, why can’t WE create vouchers when WE want to? Why should WE lose money that we’re trying to save? I’m saying this cos the money part would be good to save for special occasions like Christmas, that’s the most expensive time of the year & so this money voucher thing would be good for us to help with Christmas & yet I don’t think I’m gonna have enough cos I don’t shop at Asda that often but I still get these money voucher notifications, I think this feature should change allowing us to create one when WE want to

### 4/5 — Good app but still needs a couple more tweaks.

*2023-04-16*

I recently revisited the Asda Rewards app after having used it for a few months, and I'm pleased to see that they've integrated Apple Wallet functionality. This feature was previously missing, making it slightly inconvenient to access my barcode, but now it's much more streamlined and easier to use.

While the app has made improvements, I've noticed a few areas where it could still be enhanced. Firstly, the rewards seem to expire relatively quickly, which makes it difficult to accumulate pounds and redeem them. It would be great if Asda could consider extending the expiration period to offer customers more flexibility.

Another aspect of the app that could use some tweaking is the "star products" feature. While the concept is interesting, some of the products offered are not applicable to all customers, such as pet food. As someone who doesn't own pets, I find it disappointing that I can't take advantage of these promotions. It would be ideal if the app could provide a more personalised selection of star products to cater to different customers' needs and preferences.

Overall, the Asda Rewards app has made significant strides with the addition of Apple Wallet integration, but there's still room for improvement in terms of reward expiration and more tailored product offerings.

**Developer response:** We're so glad to hear you're enjoying the Asda Rewards app 🙌 We appreciate your feedback and will share this with the wider team as we are always looking for new ways to make Asda Rewards the best it can be for our customers. Many thanks, Jess
