### 3/5 — Seriously

*2026-08-30, version 31.6.11*

I want to know why you haven’t added in photos of the food. I would understand if it was a one off but this seems to be a reoccurring issue.

### 3/5 — Not the best UX

*2026-08-21, version 31.6.11*

App is fine, does what it needs to, but can be so frustrating.

For example, when scrolling through the ‘Regulars’ section, selecting the tick box to add these items, it’s too easy to accidentally select the image of the product which takes you to that product. When you go back to the ‘Regulars’, the check box has stayed ticked but the amounts of all items that you amended has reset. So frustrating.

### 1/5 — Bug in the app

*2026-07-21, version 31.6.9*

I downloaded the app but it just keep closing itself in evey 10/15 seconds and i couldn’t even sign in. Needs so much work to be done in the apps.

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2026-07-20, version 31.6.9*

Crashes as soon as I open it. I have deleted and reinstalled it still happens.

### 2/5 — Poor and glitchy

*2026-07-14, version 31.6.9*

Use this app every week and regularly find problems like can’t book a slot, can’t add all favourites to basket and can’t pay!! Drives me mad.
The organisation and presentation is also poor. Would be good to see different sizes of a single product available. Frequently the items rolled back are out of stock so you can’t buy them! But if u go in store they are there!

### 1/5 — Awful App

*2026-07-10, version 31.6.8*

It’s extremely slow, asks to verify you are human about 6 times before it lets you in. I’ve had to stop using it.

### 1/5 — USELESS!!

*2026-07-09, version 31.6.8*

I deleted the app a while ago because I usually shop in person.
I can’t shop in person right now so I re-downloaded the app.
I can’t log in because I *have* to change my password for whatever reason.
So I have to log into my email to look for a code.
NO CODE!!! NOT A SINGLE EMAIL FROM THEM!!!!
I can’t log in. Absolutely useless app. Wouldn’t bother. I’m going to shop somewhere else.

### 2/5 — Very slow

*2026-07-07, version 31.6.8*

At the moment there is a problem when it comes to checkout . Have to shut down my phone completely and start again to get the order to go through !

### 1/5 — Want to buy a groceries

*2026-07-06, version 31.6.8*

I want to buy a groceries very first time through the app I was make a payment twice with 138.72 pounds both the time payment deducted from my bank account and the grocery is still on the basket this a very frustrating experience for me today

### 1/5 — Worse shopping app going

*2026-07-06, version 31.6.8*

Search is terrible, look at 1 item and have to start again, regularly signs you out and now won’t complete orders.

### 1/5 — Miss

*2026-07-05, version 31.6.8*

The app is rubbish to much sign in

### 3/5 — Bacon issues!

*2026-07-04, version 31.6.8*

What is going on with Asda Unsmoked 8 slices Exceptional Bacon. No other way to put it - swimming! So much briny water it floats when cooking! I appreciate it is competitively priced (being polite) when buying 2 packs but it’s not even acceptable never mind exceptional. We will not be buying it again. You need to have a word with you supplier - stop with the brine to make the weight!

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2026-07-04, version 31.6.8*

Crashes before you can even sign in. Have updated and tried reinstalling but same

### 1/5 — Rubbish app

*2026-07-03, version 31.6.8*

Absolutely rubbish logs you out all the time

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2026-07-02, version 31.6.8*

Was working fine but not won’t open . Wish they would stop messing about with it

### 1/5 — Slow and never actually gets the order

*2026-06-27, version 31.6.7*

Used ages back but now never checks out so order never gets placed plus 3 apps for Asda- scanner app, this app and rewards is unnecessary surely!?

### 1/5 — Sorry

*2026-06-25, version 31.6.7*

Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later…..
gave up

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2026-06-20, version 31.6.7*

Your new app is rubbish. Some of the search results are random at best. If I’m looking for food storage boxes I don’t need to see yoghurt tubes and bread now, do I? Go back?? It doesn’t take you back a page, yet more random, loosely connected items - hundreds of them. It’s absolute rubbish since the last ‘super fantastic’ relaunch. It’s bad news if I’m thinking of going to Morrisons!
In what world is it relevant for ‘toilet cleaner’ to be the top three items when searching for ‘shower gel’??

### 1/5 — What’s going on

*2026-06-19, version 31.6.7*

I have been using Asda online shopping for years now and this last month it has been so bad every time I try to check out it say something went wrong try again I phone up they told me to delete the app and my bank details and try again I did all this prior to calling up and they kept saying there was nothing they could do and hanged the phone up on me not ones but twice this is absolutely ridiculous first time this happened was in the 11th eventually after trying for half the day got my shopping ordered and now it’s doing the same again but now I have been trying since yesterday and still not working

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Awful

*2026-08-30, version 31.6.11*

By the time I mess about trying to complete an order, I could have made the 20 min journey to store and bought the items myself

### 1/5 — Asda app

*2026-08-29, version 31.6.11*

Probably the worst app I ever used, sometimes it’s impossible to pay for your groceries, a real pain to deal with

### 1/5 — Sign Up

*2026-08-25, version 31.6.11*

Cannot sign up. Never receive verification codes to email. Tried resending multiple times. Will have to shop elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Slow, laggy, worse than it was 5 years ago

*2026-08-20, version 31.6.11*

I'm genuinely unsure how this app has gotten worse between now and 5 years ago when I'd left the UK, but it has. Slow, bad UX

### 1/5 — No proper maintenance

*2026-08-19, version 31.6.11*

Payment was not going through and my gift was balance was deducted but order was not placed

### 1/5 — Keeps singing me out

*2026-08-15, version 31.6.10*

The app keeps signing me out and keeps asking me to sign in every time when I use the app.
It needs to keep me signed in please fix.

### 1/5 — No good since it’s changed

*2026-08-11, version 31.6.10*

Won’t open the log in ive deleted and re-downloaded it still won’t work ive just shopped on my neighbours account as I couldnt get to the store

### 1/5 — Deliberately awkward

*2026-08-06, version 31.6.10*

It’s like they don’t really want you to use their app as it keeps signing me out. Most times i open the app i have to force it shut to load. When i can eventually get in they then make it as hard as possible to search for anything and once you have looked at one item you have to start the whole search again as there is no (obvious) way to do this.

### 1/5 — Embarrassing

*2026-08-02, version 31.6.10*

The app dosnt work lit opens then closes

### 1/5 — Not allowing me to chexkout

*2026-07-29, version 31.6.10*

This it rather annoying 5 days now it won’t let me amend my order when I got to checkout pay with card it comes up wit something went wrong please try again get it sorted please since lots of customers will be experiencing this

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Terrible

*2026-08-23, version 31.6.11*

I don’t know if its just on my phone but the app just shuts down constantly I always end up using safari. I have the latest iPhone too and the app is up to date.

### 5/5 — awesomeness, almost godly but not quite

*2024-09-20*

Absolutely fantastic value for Money. I’ll do Tesco. I do Audi. I’ll do everyone if you know what you’re looking for and you know you can find something. Asda suitable like I found these for phase ones that used to be done by someone called farms for fames fames fames yes that said and I found one exactly the same one on Asda for their own brand they do for 1.50p and has lots of things like you did like the home they’ve got this. I remember getting these last time. I’ve got them today microwave roast in it but it’s a fresh version of it. A fresh version of it. It wasn’t off nourishing so nourishing full of chunky vegetables, real chicken, you know but at the same time you want to go I’ve been vegan with them. I’ve been vegetarian with them. I drink a lot of soy milk. I’m a snob. I drink water, but I drink water cause it makes my mental health better I don’t know if psychological if it comes volcanic rock supposedly something to do with it, but yes, don’t buy it or no because I still want to buy some

### 5/5 — An ASDA Convert Very Impressed

*2023-04-14*

Having ordered online for years with other supermarkets, i will freely admit that I tried Asda as a last resort when my go to’s didn’t have availability to either deliver or collect and when I did manage to arrange a collection, the collection point was deserted, no one thought to let me know it had been changed. What a pleasant surprise I got with Asda. I can get delivery slots the very next day most times which I can’t at others and the grocery shop is the easiest search and quickest to load compared to all others I’ve tried. The link to the Reward scheme is straight forward and not complicated like some other supermarkets, so I can earn rewards easily and use them easily. The drivers are polite and helpful and the goods are so far all delivered on time well placed in crates, the crates are actually clean, unlike other supermarkets, and the items are not thrown in from a distance, and the prices are extremely competitive. I wish I had used Asda before instead of putting up with poor customer care from others. I am converted and just placing my next order now.

### 5/5 — Watch out for subs!

*2022-08-27*

Im happy enough to keep using Asda online for my shop however this happened… In my order was x2 6pint whole milk Asda brand. I was substituted with 3litres of cravendale. Ultimately I have paid the same price for half the milk I originally ordered. The lady on customer services was nice enough but I really couldn’t understand the accent as she was from another country. As curiosity kicked in I ventured down to the local Asda with a friend and noticed that the items that were substituted were actually on the shelf in Asda. We are in a living crisis and Asda think it’s acceptable to take advantage of substitutions. They will give you less for the same price you paid. It’s a way to claw and rake in more money from those that don’t take a stand against it. Im just one person that has lost no greater than £2. A small amount it may seem. But this happens to thousands of people. That £2 x 1000 is £2000 given to a company for literally nothing!! Please take this review as guidance as to your online shopping experience. Please don’t assume that Asda or any online retailer will happily help you off their own back. THEY WONT! Be vigilant AND MAKE A STAND!

### 5/5 — So much easier (& cheaper)then shopping

*2021-02-01*

I broke my arm in 2016 and had to start online shopping earnestly as I couldn’t drive. It was such a revelation. Now I plonk in my favourites every week, alter the order the night before delivery to reflect what is actually in the fridge, get up next morning and hey presto my shopping arrives. I can’t understand why anyone would want to go to the supermarket ever again. I am a long way from a store, so have the delivery pass which costs the same as one journey to the store and I get weekly deliveries , so I’m saving 75% on shopping trip costs and about 6 hours of my life every month. Yes I get some substitutes which are weird, or once it was all very wet 😳, but on the whole it’s a fantastic service, the drivers are lovely and I’m extremely happy. I have really appreciated the way Asda have kept the service going despite all the trials of lockdowns and brexit, even if it means I can’t get yellow peppers this week, or ginger last week, these are minor issues compared with the reality that for a very small sum somebody is bringing me food for a week and I don’t have to fetch it. Thank you Asda. 😁😁

### 5/5 — Easy and convenient

*2019-08-07*

I’m used to navigating the asda site now but in the beginning I struggled. If you persevere you will soon find it’s very easy. Make sure money is in the right account by midnight as they take payment soon after midnight. Look for email in morning if you want to know substitutions bcos not all drivers tell you about them so it can come as quite a surprise when you are putting it away and not always a good surprise.
Having mentioned these minor issues I want to stress that overall it is easy once you get used to it. Good value for money, very reasonably priced and most of the delivery guys go way over and beyond what is expected- I am disabled and unable to unpack boxes of shopping quickly so the guys are usually extremely good and unpack the boxes for me.i am so very appreciative of what they do, always with a smile too. A couple of them put fridge stuff away for me too as it’s directly opposite front door and that small act of kindness has made the whole delivery process a lot easier for me I’m forever grateful for this. Thank-you xx

### 4/5 — Website works better than app

*2026-06-05, version 31.6.6*

Great app, it’s just very slow & the organisation of the products is questionable. It can be pretty difficult to sort by the price you want sometimes as it just shows random items that aren’t relevant. The other issue is just that the app is very slow! I’ve found it much more convenient to just use the website to be honest.

### 4/5 — Can’t do without

*2021-01-07*

I’ve been using online shopping with Asda for over a year now and have found this a life saver. I had an operation which meant I couldn’t walk for 3 months let alone shop! The app on the phone and website both worked well. Then Covid decided to rear it’s very ugly head and everyone went mental trying to get online and do the same it became very challenging. The website often crashed mid shop or whilst amending. It was very trying! Slots became impossible to
Get unless you booked weeks in advance. Then Asda became aware everyone was doing this to avoid missing a slot. I believe they then stepped up sorted the website out and ordering and it became functional again. I have stuck with it and give them the benefit of the doubt and I have to say I am impressed with their ability to not only fix the outages but also their organising of stock availability during the nightmare of people bulk buying. I have to say I still shop with Asda every week and although sometimes items aren’t available (as the same in any other Supermarket) most of the time they get it spot on. The drivers are extremely helpful and always on time. I love online deliveries for the bulk of my shopping which means if I have to go out, it’s only for a small amount of items and not very often. Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen of Asda for all your hard work and dedication.

### 4/5 — Good app

*2020-12-14*

It’s a good app but the delivery or collection is wrong way round. I’ve had to cancel my order and do it again because it said collection date. So please get that sorted. I was also supposed to have been given a £5 voucher because of an angel delight pot having mould in it. But it’s not there so wasn’t happy about that. Otherwise it’s easy to shop with the app.
Update:- I was sitting here waiting for my order as half an hour late and no messages from them. Rang them and after ages they answered. It was for click and collect he said. On my order it said delivery. I always have a delivery now I have no help as being disabled is hard to do. So had to cancel that one and I’ve had to reorder. This isn’t the first time I usually check but didn’t this time. I’ve had my voucher at last. But I’m getting really annoyed at the mishaps that are happening. I love bananas but dare not order them as the last 2 ordered were black. Didn’t complain about them but the pudding was the last straw. Person on the phone was saying my fault. He still has t cancelled it. Why they couldn’t deliver it to me I don’t know? Not happy.

### 4/5 — Asda App!!! 🤔

*2020-10-15*

Well it was better this week, than most weeks, it only crashed once!! I’m still not understanding why a lot, and I mean a lot, of everyday items which are ready available in store, still aren’t available online or the App. It’s so obvious people are starting to panic buy again because they fear going into lockdown, (and I live in the south not the north of England).
Please explain why when I try to order Asda own toilet rolls, they don’t show 24 packs anymore, only a 12 or 4 pack, which is big difference in price? But they are probably stacked sky high in the store!!! Last week I wanted a 12 pack of Asda baby wet wipes, they were not even showing as available, or out of stock, so had to order the nearest equivalent which was Huggies which were 75p more per pack. When my delivery arrived they were substituted with, guess what!, Asda wet wipes, they actual ones I wanted in the first place!!!!!
I’ve shopped online many years with Asda now but the online shopping takes a lot longer now than it used to, due to crashes and numerous stops and stalls. Would be nice if that could be dealt with.
