## What is Ashly Remote?

"Ashly Remote" is an application used to create a custom and secure graphical user interface (GUI) for end user control of Ashly networked products. The GUI is created on the iPad, then deployed to a Ashly Remote app running on a iPad*, iPod Touch*, or iPhone*. All GUI editing is done solely on the iPad.
 
The sound system designer creates a GUI specifically tailored for the end user and their networked Ashly products, allowing them remote access to select audio functions.

Have been using this app for years and thought I would give props to it’s developers. Using in three commercial deployments and have never had any issues. Setup and customization is straightforward and simple.

This app is amazingly easy to design custom remote control interfaces for Ashly Amps and DSPs. Very versatile. The demo shows most of the functions.  When tied together in a network with Ashly Networked Amps and DSPs you will see the full power. 
I use it all the time with my iPAD Air. 
The latency is almost undetectable. Even the VU level indicators show little to no latency.
I highly recommend this addition to your Ashly system.

Just installed my 1st Ashly ne4400 dsp/matrix in a local restaurant. DSP settings a breeze to access and setup. The remote app was the clincher. There was a bit of a learning curve but the Tech Support team was always available, patient and professional. The end result was a better sounding system with great source & zone control from an ipad. Highly recommended!

BUG FIX: Min and Max property values which are exclusive to fader/meter controls were sometimes being reset back to their default values.

Bug Fix: Channel Gain Controls were not loading properly from 1.06 version designs. This fix will cause them to load properly. 

This bug caused the channel type and channel number not to get loaded.

In the event that you opened your design in edit mode, you may have overwritten your working settings effectively wiping out your channel type and number. 

To fix the problem manually reload the design from a file, using menus : Misc->File Options->Load.

Enable Security control was changed

Grid Lines were changed to a centering system. The old grid system did not provide a centered gridline.

Controls List design was changed slightly.

Property Menus now have multiple pages. This was done to keep consistent sizing, regardless of the number of properties.

Notifications now present as a box that slides on and off screen, making them easier to read and notice.

New notifications added for operations like import / delete page

Menus have larger text and size

Brand new UI library created. The app may look mostly the same but is using a new library behind the scenes. This allows the app to improve with new features faster.

URL Launch string “ashlyremote” is now available to launch Ashly Remote from other apps.

BUG FIX: Duplicated controls no longer get placed off screen when next to screen edge.

BUG FIX: Device names on the diagnostic menu that were long would sometimes run into the next column

BUG FIX: AB source select readback label state text was reversed. It is now functioning as intended.

BUG FIX: Some readback labels would have properties state1 and state2 text, this was unintended. They have been removed.

BUG FIX: Recent save file format changes did not compensate for file changes when importing pages from older designs. Now file formats are changed to the newest version automatically when loading or importing.

TEMPORARY WORKAROUND: iOS7 status bar was not hiding, moved menu locations below the bar to avert accidental app closing when interacting with the app.

The App is now slightly less chatty on the network

The App should now re-sync to offline devices when they come online at a much faster rate

As an added feature WR5 and FR remotes are now correctly identified and can be monitored using status labels
