### 2/5 — App crashes

*2020-09-24*

App just crashes upon opening in iOS14. Will update rating when fixed

### 1/5 — Poor service

*2019-10-18, version 3.9.6*

Great idea but poor service

### 1/5 — Ask Arlington

*2019-10-04, version 3.9.6*

This app is a good idea, but it doesn’t work well. Please fix it

### 1/5 — Not useful

*2019-08-05*

This app is a great idea, but not useful if it takes an entire year to get a response or feedback and closure on the original submission.

### 1/5 — Hjv4504

*2019-06-22, version 3.9.6*

App will not send the reported problem.

### 1/5 — Pointless App, Rude Responses from City

*2018-12-06, version 3.9.6*

This app is pointless because the average response time is several days from reporting the violation. The selling point of this app is to bring the city together to clean it up, report behaviors that violate city code and share things with city staff so they’re aware when they otherwise might not be.

Also, I’ve reported several abandoned vehicles but the reports have always been “completed” with rude comments stating don’t do this or report it this way. I don’t understand why we even have this app if it’s not going to come with instructions or warnings to indicate what should/should not be done. Instead, the city posts these curt replies to the citizens actually trying to help, which is counterproductive to the intent of the app (as it was explained to me by the city in a demo in my neighborhood meeting).

### 1/5 — Not compatible with iOS 12

*2018-09-20*

Doesn’t appear to work right after iOS update yesterday. Most apps allow you to contact the developer to report problems but this app just refers you to an FAQ page about using the app.

### 1/5 — Don’t see the point

*2018-05-24*

Had several houses with trash out early Monday morning. Trash day isn’t till Wednesday. It took three days for someone to come out. By then dogs been in the trash it was all over the street. I didn’t even get notified that someone came out till after the trash ran. Same thing with parking by the time someone comes to inspect the issue it’s been days later. About the only time someone came out when a issue was still there was when I took pictures of a vacant house with knee high grass and I was told no violations were found.

### 1/5 — Good idea, bad response time

*2017-10-03*

This app is a great idea, but for issues that including parking, it's no good. I reported people parking on a fire lane, it didn't get checked out until three days later. And when it was finally checked on they weren't parking there at the moment, even though they park there 90% of the time. Really lacks response time. You can't wait several days then check out the report.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No Updates

*2025-10-29, version 4.3.3150*

App not kept updated, last update was Dec 18, 2024. A lot has changed and this app is useless if not ever kept up to date!! (10/30/2025)

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2024-12-19*

What in the world? I’ve never seen an app go from 5-star to worthless in one update, but that’s exactly what happened here. Can’t login to my account. Can’t set up a new account, reset password or anything.

I should have known anything related to our municipal government would get messed up if we waited long enough.

### 1/5 — Says no connection

*2021-08-10, version 4.2.1*

Despite strong signal

### 1/5 — Great app, but slow and old

*2020-10-01*

Needs a refresh. Idea and app is great but takes forever to load each screen and does not take an entire screen on the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Not compatible with iOS 14!! Crashes instantly upon opening. Needs an update!

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2020-09-28*

This app is so bad. It crashes constantly. And you have to start over. It won’t even submit a request now. I tried to login it crashes. I tried to submit a request it crashes. I tried to select a picture. The whole app freezes. I cannot believe our tax dollars are paying for such a horrible app.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2020-09-24*

It’s nice but it keeps crashing when I try to sign in and it takes a long time to load. And it was frustrating because I was trying to request something extremely important and it wouldn’t let me

### 1/5 — Crap

*2020-07-09, version 3.9.6*

This app is an excuse for the city not to enforce code violations. They simply let the request sit there for months and then close it out stating that it never “registered” in their system even though you have a confirmation it did.

### 1/5 — Needs Work

*2020-02-27*

This app is basically useless, except you can look up city ordinances. But when trying to submit a request, it freezes up, especially when you attach a picture. Maybe starting over would be better, but I definitely would not recommend this app in its present state.

### 1/5 — Needs a big overhaul!!!!

*2020-02-21*

Screen freezes often and hard to move to move around in the app. Not very friendly to use!

### 1/5 — App needs work

*2019-12-18, version 3.9.6*

It won’t allow me to place the cursor where I need it to go, it won’t allow me to select a photo from my library, it needs a topic for dangerous situations.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Happy

*2024-06-04*

I’ve used app for a few years. Mostly reporting dead animals on the road. The responses time is amazing. We had lightning hit our street light in front of our house & report. I got email about issue & repair believe was 2 days later which I felt was good turn around. I will be reporting a couple very bad potholes on my work driving route. I will update review on that progress.

### 5/5 — Great app for City information and code requests

*2023-10-11, version 4.3.0*

Great app for City information and code requests. The staff are quick to respond to requests and the app is very well laid out.
Suggestion: create a means to cancel a submitted request. In cases in which a concern has been remediated before the City has been able to visit the location.

### 5/5 — It works!

*2023-02-14*

City of Arlington works!

Residents give thanks.
Reported a pothole on Sunday, Tuesday it is fixed!

### 5/5 — So Far, It Works

*2021-06-20*

They’ve improved the app a lot from what I’ve read of previous reviews, and I’m glad to report that all the issues most were saying they were having, are now mostly not issues anymore. Sometimes the app will re-spring, or there may be a total app crash here and there but for the most part it works now. I’ve had City of Arlington TX come out and repair many potholes, and etc now. Give it a try if you need to report something to the City of Arlington TX!

### 5/5 — Could be worse.

*2020-05-21*

The app could use an update, but it is informative and easy to use.

### 4/5 — Useful App

*2023-09-13*

I like the Ask Arlington app. It saves time (no runaround on the phone, etc). Also, every time I report/request something, it is taken care of very quickly and satisfactorily.

### 3/5 — App Has Issues City Slow To Respond

*2020-10-02*

The App has some issues such as won’t let you add pictures; freezes up.

The idea of the app is good but the City can’t take 4-5 days to respond. For example, I have a neighbor who constantly put trash out 2-3 days early but by the time the City responds the trash men have picked up the trash.

Same for parking in yard. A lot of people park in yard at night but the City doesn’t check the complaints after 5 so when they check the issue during the day the vehicle is not in yard because driver is probably at work so City responds they found no issue. Duh.

### 3/5 — I can’t send a request anymore

*2019-05-08*

I spotted a few potholes that I would like to request service to. However, when I try to send a request, the app keeps notifying me that I need to enter a valid address even though I already provided one. It looks like the app is stuck at that address step and we can’t go on. Please, fix this issue so we can keep using this helpful app. Thank you.

### 2/5 — Wrong city app icon

*2021-06-21*

Why does the city now say “Village of Lincolnwood Illinois”? When you click into the app it wants to take you to that cities page, but then redirects you to Arlington.

### 2/5 — Good idea, but poor app

*2021-06-20*

New icon says Illinois on it…

Hangs on FB pairing, hangs on saving profile changes, hangs almost everywhere. Tells me I have no connection when other apps work fine. Without any filters, items are missing from mobile version that are on full page. Some views populate slowly without showing progress, so look blank.
