## What is Ask D.D.?

Disciple your children little by little.

Discipling children isn't a single talk, a curriculum, or a crisis to survive. It happens little by little — in everyday conversations, gentle corrections, bedtime prayers, sibling squabbles, big questions, and the quiet shaping of your own heart along the way.

Ask D.D. is a Christian parenting companion for the whole journey of discipling your children. She walks with you through the ordinary, sacred work of raising kids who love Jesus — helping you respond with wisdom in the moment, get on the same page as parents, follow each child's long-term growth, and build rhythms that keep your family rooted in Christ.

You are your child's first discipler. Ask D.D. helps you take the next faithful step.

DISCIPLE IN THE MOMENT
When a hard question, a meltdown, a discipline decision, or a spiritual conversation comes up, D.D. helps you respond with calm, practical wisdom, Scripture, and prayer — tuned to your child's developmental stage.

PARENT FROM THE SAME PAGE
Think through parenting and discipleship together. Share conversations, align as spouses and caregivers, and disciple each child from a common family context.

WALK THE JOURNEY OVER TIME
Your child's questions, milestones, struggles, and spiritual seasons become part of a long-term discipleship path — not a string of disconnected moments.

ABIDE AS YOU LEAD
Simple prayer rhythms help you parent from communion with Christ instead of pressure or performance. Discipling a child begins with a parent who is being formed.

Grace-filled, never anxious. No judgment, no noise — just a steady, encouraging voice that points you toward connection and toward Christ. And toward your own pastor and church community, never away from them.

Parenting will stretch you. You don't have to disciple your children alone.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-18

Practice one small thing, and tell D.D. how it went.
When D.D.'s counsel gives you something to try, you can now save it as a single practice in two taps. In your own words, on your own timeframe. Later, Home asks how it went. Tell D.D. what really happened and she responds to THAT, not to the advice she already gave, and offers a smaller next step if you want one.

Nothing is due, and nothing expires.
No streaks, no reminders you didn't ask for, no way to fall behind. A hard night earns a gentler next step, never a rebuke. Little by little is the whole idea.

Ask your next question without waiting.
You no longer have to sit on the reflecting screen. Leave it, ask something else, come back. The right answer stays paired with the question you asked.

Your conversation list stopped showing doubles.
Recent conversations appeared once in the Continue row and again in the list below. It's one list now.

D.D. finishes her answer even if you set your phone down.
Backgrounding the app mid-question used to end in a connection error for an answer that had already arrived. It's saved and waiting for you now.

Also in this release: quiet reliability work around signing in and out, and extra care on the screens that matter most in a hard moment.

### 1.2.3 — 2026-08-08

Conversations your partner shares now open.
If your co-parent shared a conversation with you, it's in your Conversations list, and tapping the notification takes you straight to it. It should have been waiting for you all along. We're sorry it wasn't, and it is now.

Siri and Spotlight can open a conversation.
Tap a saved conversation in Spotlight search, or ask Siri to open one, and it takes you there.

Follow-up suggestions that actually fit.
The suggestions under D.D.'s reply now follow from what you asked. If you came with a question about bedtime devotionals, you won't be offered help with a meltdown you never mentioned.

Also in this release: a handful of quiet fixes beneath the surface to help D.D. keep getting better.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-07-16

Reliability fixes, including one that makes sure your whole conversation is saved, so both your questions and D.D.'s guidance are waiting for you when you return.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-07-12

Your conversations are saved.
Conversations you start on your iPhone now appear under Conversations, ready whenever you want to return to them. Older ones weren't saved the way they should have been — we're sorry, and we've fixed it.
Notes for each child
Dietary needs, learning needs, the things only you would think to mention — now kept with each child, separate from your family notes.
Change a child's stage
They grow faster than forms do. Tap a child's age in Profile to move them to a new stage.
Your reminders, your call
Turn the weekly prayer prompt and daily rhythms on or off, right from Profile.
Conversations read better
D.D.'s replies now sit in their own bubbles, and follow-ups no longer run off the edge of the screen.
Also in this release: the Home placeholder no longer stutters on first load, plus a handful of quiet fixes beneath the surface to help D.D. keep getting better.
