I love that this one emphasizes the context of events and economic ongoings happening around us. It’s empowering and encouraging because times are really tough for many and we can’t ignore that. Instead of recycling the same commentary you'd find anywhere else, Ask Dolly provides context on what's happening and why it matters. And lovin' the combo of AI chat for quick questions and access to professionals. It's clear - this was built by people who understand finance and how real people actually use their phones. Highly recommend. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 3/5 — AI advisor makes the same mistakes as ChatGPT *2026-03-19* The AI agent gave me some questionable advice about doing a CRUT, only to backtrack and say “I misspoke” after some discussion. To be fair, ChatGPT made the same mistakes, but ChatGPT was free. **Developer response:** Hi Mah6786, thank you for the feedback! A few things worth knowing: The DollyAI feature is currently in beta, and some topics like CRUTs are areas we're actively strengthening. The DollyAI feature is an educational tool and not a substitute for personalized advice from a licensed professional (which we also offer in app!) for complex strategies like this. I made an excel spreadsheet for my money but basically stopped tracking it because it was such a hassle to add in my expenses. So many of the budgeting apps I tried were so hard to edit or customize I eventually gave on those too. A friend recommended Dolly and it was SUCHHH a game changer Being able to ask unlimited questions until I actually understand has changed the way I think about my money, and not only my money but the stock market.
