## What is Ask Quran?

Ask Quran is a source-backed Quran companion. Ask any question - about faith, life, worship, or the Quran itself - and receive answers grounded in the exact ayah, with Arabic text, English translation, and scholarly tafsir.

Every reply cites the verse. Nothing is invented.

ASK
Type any question in plain English. Ask Quran searches the Quran for the most relevant ayah, shows you the Arabic, the Sahih translation, and the tafsir context. You always see the source - never a bare claim.

BROWSE TOPICS
Not sure where to start? Browse curated themes - Faith & Allah, Prophet Duas, Life Situations, and more. Each topic opens a source-backed answer drawn from the Quran.

DESIGNED WITH CARE
Ask Quran is built for Muslims who want to engage seriously with the Quran. The interface is clean and distraction-free. Arabic text is rendered clearly. Answers are never fabricated - if the Quran addresses your question, we show you where.

"This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah."
- Al-Baqarah 2:2

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.12 — 2026-06-19

• Reading now opens in a beautiful full-surah Mushaf view by default — tap to switch to verse-by-verse any time.
• Distraction-free recitation: the screen clears as audio plays so each ayah has room to breathe, then restores when you pause.
• Smoother follow-along — the verse being recited stays centred and fully visible above the player.
• Authentic Madinah Mushaf script throughout.
• Fixed Arabic text not appearing on some topic pages.
• Refinements to right-to-left layout across all 44 languages.

### 1.3.11 — 2026-06-18

New & improved

Recite opens in By-Surah (Mushaf) view by default for a continuous reading experience — the By Ayah / By Surah toggle remains available and returns when you pause.
Distraction-free playback — the surah picker, view toggle, and bottom navigation hide while audio plays to give long verses maximum room, and restore the moment you pause.
Smoother follow-along scrolling — the currently reciting verse stays centered, with its last line always clear of the translation/player panel.
Even verse-number spacing and consistent Madinah-Mushaf glyph rendering across the app.
Small bottom padding added to the audio player so controls clear the home indicator.

### 1.3.10 — 2026-06-13

This update polishes the reading experience:

• Quran text on the Surah view is now fully justified for a cleaner, more balanced layout that matches the printed Mushaf style.
• Refined right-to-left layout for Urdu and other RTL languages, including verse controls and surrounding-verse alignment.
• Various stability and display improvements.

Thank you for using Ask Quran. Please keep the feedback coming.

### 1.3.9 — 2026-06-12

What's new in 1.3.9

Urdu & right-to-left reading improved: Arabic verses and translations now align correctly to the right across the Recite screen (Surah and Ayah views).
Ayah view: verse number and play controls now sit neatly on the left for a cleaner layout.
Maududi (مودودی) is now the default Urdu translation.
General polish and stability fixes.
Jazak Allah khair for using Ask Quran.

### 1.3.7 — 2026-06-12

What's new
• Recite now auto-scrolls with audio, keeping the current ayah in focus in By Ayah and By Surah views.
• In By Surah view, the current ayah’s translation now appears above the audio controls.
• Restored Amiri for Arabic text on Android and iOS, fixing the broken ayah-end marker in By Surah.
