AskOwlo's app comes with thousands of illustrated stories that kids can read (or listen to) during the day or around bed time. We built it for kids ages 4 to 12, and we made two promises to ourselves from day one: no ads, and free to start. We wanted this to be something you could hand your child without a second thought. Here's what you'll find inside. Thousands of stories across topics your kids are already curious about, like animals, space, nature, history, science, and music. Every story comes with word-by-word read-along highlighting, so kids see and hear each word as it's spoken, which is one of the most natural ways to build reading confidence. Every story is beautifully illustrated, too, because we believe a calm, lovely page invites kids in far better than a flashing one. Your kids will get to know two narrators we've grown rather fond of: Owlo, the wise one, and Koko, the curious one. You can browse stories by age, topic, or collection, and the app is available in both English and Dutch, with more languages on the way. And when screens need a rest, there are plenty of colouring pages of Koko and Owlo to print and enjoy. We didn't build this just to keep kids busy. We built it to help them grow. Over time, you may notice stronger reading fluency and phonics, a wider vocabulary, better listening comprehension, real knowledge in science, nature, and history, and the kind of curiosity and focus that serves a child far beyond any app. And because your trust matters more than anything, here's where we stand: no ads, ever.
