"Dad, why does God let bad things happen?" Some questions stop you in your tracks. AskScripture answers them the way you'd want a wise friend with a seminary library to: clearly, from Scripture, and with the evidence in front of you. EVERY ANSWER, CHAPTER AND VERSE Ask anything about the Bible, doubt, or Christian living. Every answer comes back four ways: • A plain-language summary, organized by topic • The exact verses, quoted from licensed translations (NASB by default; KJV, ASV, BSB, CEV, Douay-Rheims and more) with book, chapter, and verse • Insights from respected Christian thinkers and apologists, with every book citation checked against a catalog of real, published works before a link is shown • Teaching videos from trusted apologists and teachers, cued to the exact moment they address your question Pastoral guidance is kept visibly separate from the biblical text, so you always know what is Scripture and what is interpretation. ANSWERS SHAPED TO WHO'S ASKING The same question deserves a different answer for a nine-year-old, a skeptical coworker, and you. Set up a profile for each person you're answering for: • For yourself: where you are in your faith journey (Practicing, Exploring, Questioning), the topics on your mind (Doubt & Faith, Suffering, Bible Contradictions, Relationships, Ethics, Theology), and your preferred translation • For your child: pick an age range, from Pre-K through High School, and ask the question they asked you. You get an explanation you can give in your own words, with teaching examples pitched to their age and how they learn best • For a friend: set where they are, whether Christian, Exploring Christianity, Skeptical, or of another faith or none, and get help saying something true and kind the next time the question comes up TALK IT THROUGH, OUT LOUD With Premium, have a natural, real-time voice conversation about faith. Ask aloud, hear a thoughtful answer, and keep going hands-free while you walk, commute, or sit with it. ALSO INCLUDED • Save answers and return to them anytime • Ask straight from your Home Screen or Lock Screen with the AskScripture widget • Choose your preferred Bible translation • Flag anything that seems incorrect; every answer can be reported in the app • No ads FREE & PREMIUM Free: 3 questions with full verse citations and a related-video preview. Premium: 7-day free trial, then a monthly subscription with unlimited questions, every video and insight, and live voice conversation (100 minutes a month). Pricing is shown in the app before you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be canceled anytime in your App Store settings. This will be a great tool for me. ### 5/5 — Fantastic App! *2026-08-14* I recently downloaded the app and love it. The app is easy to use, easy to set up and brought so much clarity to my questions. It helped me relate gods word to my personal life questions/troubles. It has scripture broken down so that’s it’s easily digested. It provides scripture, apologist insights and videos! All I can say is WOW. This app will help you understand the revelation of gods love and his call to love him and others that will guide our salvation and daily living. Highly recommend! ### 5/5 — Amazing *2026-08-08* Really goes in depth about faith! It can really help with so much. Weither I was doubting or just doing a simple Bible study it always knew just what I needed to hear. I would rate it more if I could genuinely recommend for all ages and all types of believers even if you are just starting, doubting, or just need some guidance! 10/10 I recommend **Developer response:** Thank you. That's a very generous thing to say. The part about doubt is what I'm happiest to read. That's often the hardest moment to bring a question to someone else, which is why the verses are always put in front of you instead of asking you to simply take an answer at its word. ## Frequently asked questions about AskScripture ### Does AskScripture have ads? When someone challenges your faith, answers now help you respond to that person. The Thinkers view now names what you're facing: the objection, the doubt, or the question. Fixes and polish. ### 1.0.10 — 2026-09-28 New: see what Christian thinkers say. On many answers you can now lead with Christian thinkers, with a link to the exact moment in each video. Also new: tap “A young child”, “A teen” or your child's name under any answer for an answer written just for them. Plus fixes and improvements. ### 1.0.9 — 2026-09-20 Answers shaped to who's asking. Under every answer there's now a row of people: A young child, A teen, Someone doubting, and anyone you've made a profile for. Tap one and the same answer is rewritten for them — the same Scripture, put in words that fit. Re-shaping is free. It never spends one of your questions, however many times you switch. It works on saved answers too, so you can open one you kept weeks ago and shape it for whoever is asking today. ### 1.0.8 — 2026-09-15 Answered on video: every answer now shows where leading Christian thinkers take on your exact question, and each clip opens at the moment they address it. A short line under each video explains why it fits. At a glance: tap the chips under your question to jump to the verses, video answers, or insights. Free accounts now see every video, and include 5 free voice minutes to try a live conversation. ### 1.0.7 — 2026-09-09 New Standard plan: $4.99 a month for 10 questions a day and 20 voice minutes. Premium stays at $9.99 with unlimited questions and 100 voice minutes. Both start with a 7-day free trial. A simpler free tier: your first three answers are free, no card needed. ## Apps similar to AskScripture | App | Rating | Price | Category | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | [Framework Fitness New](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/framework-fitness-new/id6446863597) | 5.0 (55) | Free | Lifestyle | | [iPodcasts](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/ipodcasts/id1530457798) | — | Free | Lifestyle | | [MoodWheel](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/moodwheel/id730508289) | 4.3 (6) | Free | Lifestyle | | [NOAH Church Member Access](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/noah-church-member-access/id1392265027) | 4.9 (7) | Free | Lifestyle | | [Gent’s Barbershop](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/gents-barbershop/id1635959910) | 5.0 (25) | Free | Lifestyle | | [The Brandworks Market](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/the-brandworks-market/id6751794567) | 3.4 (7) | Free | Lifestyle | --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
