### 4/5 — Karel.

I actually love using this app, but I’d like to learn at the beginning, more of the sentence structures as we go and also be able to ask questions. Maybe on how to sign prayer labels (ie the ending of a prayer. As “in the name of the father, son and Holy Spirit kinda thing also). I am a Christian so there is not a dumb (political correctness thingy) going on here. Just want to know it…I don’t have a practice person so I’m learning on my own and happy with that.

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2026-08-28, version 1.74*

I love this app. I had to reinstall it after my phone glitched, so started all over again, and I’m amazed at how much I’ve learned. I’m checking into accredited programs to volunteer in the deaf community in my area now! I can’t thank you enough!

### 5/5 — Great learning tool

*2026-08-28, version 1.74*

I’m learning so fast using ASL bloom and it’s only day 3. They do an excellent job with teaching new signs while mixing in previous ones so you stay fresh. I feel like I can introduce myself pretty well now, and I can’t wait to keep going!

### 5/5 — My review

*2026-08-27, version 1.73*

My friend keymayah is deaf and this app is helping me learn sign language so I can talk toy her it’s very helpful and I’m really young but these cores are very helpful and I’m only in the 5th grade

### 5/5 — Amazing learning tool!

*2026-08-27, version 1.73*

I’ve absolutely loved ASL Bloom for learning ASL. The videos and pacing is great and if you’re able to subscribe, it’s well worth it in my opinion. These lessons, the built in dictionary, and internet-immersion in ASL has me signing decent conversations at just 2 weeks!

### 5/5 — My rating

*2026-08-27, version 1.73*

Recently I’ve been really into sign language and this app is perfect. It’s repetitive so it sticks with you and it offers a slower mode so you can capture the hand movements easier. I’ve learned a lot not even 4 days in! The only thing that could be negative is that you have to pay in order to do unlimited lessons but you get one free per day!

### 5/5 — I love it

*2026-08-26, version 1.73*

This is an amazing tool, I just love it

### 5/5 — Great learning tool

*2026-08-26, version 1.73*

Great learning app

### 5/5 — LOVE THIS APP

*2026-08-26, version 1.73*

So excited about this app- Imm 6 lessons in and could follow a short introductory conversation between 2 people using ASL!! I have always thought ASL is so cool and important to learn and this app makes it easy and accessible. Also, you’re learning ASL from deaf creators - which is a HUGE plus! I’m incredibly happy with the free version, but I have a little more flexibility in my budget, I’m planning to upgrade to the paid version just to support this app!

### 5/5 — Great starter for teachers

*2026-08-26, version 1.73*

I’m very happy that I was told about this app. I’m able to have short, meaningful lessons that I can use towards my students.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Why can’t anyone offer free ASL??

*2026-08-30, version 1.74*

Why is it when we clearly nneed more people to learn ASL and make it more accessible to people yet every app makes you pay or you only get to learn two things a day?? What is that? How is anyone going to properly gain ASL knowledge when you make them pay?? Or wait until the next day to learn a few more things that’s ridiculous. And simply greedy.

### 1/5 — Impossible to cancel

*2026-08-27, version 1.74*

I originally really loved this app but after my trial period was up, I needed to cancel. The cancel button on the app DOES NOT WORK. Nothing happens. I instead deleted my account thinking that would solve it, but lo and behold I was still charged for an annual membership. I reached out to their support email multiple times and never received a response. So instead I have to dispute this with my bank. Not only is this ridiculous, it is illegal.

### 1/5 — okay

*2026-08-26, version 1.73*

it was good at first then made you pay . it was so good and then of course you have to pay to learn something new people want people to learn but how if we can’t because we have to pay to learn sign language?

### 1/5 — FROZE- no help from support

*2026-08-14, version 1.73*

After spending hundreds on this app, it froze up and would not do anything. None of the lessons would load. I sent a request to support and never received a response. Don’t waste your money

### 1/5 — It called me a racial slur

*2026-07-30, version 1.73*

I do NOT recommend apps that are racially biased.

### 1/5 — Bug

*2026-07-14, version 1.72*

The update came out 2 days ago now causes the app to crash instantly when I try and open it. Please fix! Other wise it’s been a great app!

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-07-04, version 1.71*

I signed up for this because some of my patients sign. I was fine with paying $8.99 a month or whatever the monthly charge was. I did the free trial and anticipated a small monthly fee. Tell me why they charged my credit card account $108.00 and I disputed it then somehow they were able to bill my debit card $108 as well. Wth???!!! That is money I need to feed my family! Again I don’t have an issue with the app I have an issue with the way they tried to charge me multiple times when that is NOT what I signed up for. If it clearly stated I would be billed $108 dollars instead of $8.99 I would never have signed for it!!!

### 1/5 — “Big”Update was a JOKE!

*2026-06-19*

After waiting for so long for this “big” new update there’s absolutely nothing new under the sun. This is just simply slapping lipstick on the same old pig. They literally just put a new face on the same old content. There are no new signs no new modules or anything. And, by the way, keep in mind you are not learning the structure of ASL. What you are learning is what is called SEE or Signed Exact English as this is basically just a vocabulary app. If you knew 500 words in another spoken language, but didn’t understand the grammar and sentence structure, you still couldn’t speak it. And, that’s all this is. You may learn a lot of words, yes - but it by no means is going to help you learn to actually communicate in ASL. I made a mistake of purchasing a subscription for $100 and have no bigger regret for any app I have ever purchased on this platform. If you want to play around with this and learn some words great, but by all means, do not pay money!!!

### 1/5 — charged me when i canceled the trial

*2026-06-19, version 1.7*

do i think it’s a coincidence that you give short trials and then charge a annual subscription, no, so then you bank on the chance people forget about their subscription, then get charged 100$ for a subscription they likely forgot they had, i cancelled my subscription the day of and yall have attempted to charge me over 5 times

### 1/5 — I Need More Lessons

*2026-06-05, version 1.7*

I love learning sign language, but I really wish that there wasn’t such a small limit of how many lessons you can do. I can only learn a very small amount each day.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — ASL bloom review

*2026-08-31, version 1.74*

It is good I love it I’m learning already and knowing how to use sign language is good because you never know when you might need to sign to someone.

### 5/5 — WOW

*2026-08-31, version 1.74*

I didn't think it would be this fun to learn sign language!!!!!!!!!! I would rate it 10 stars if I could!!

### 5/5 — App is still useable without subscription

*2026-08-31, version 1.74*

This is probably one of the first language apps that lets me actually learn something without a subscription! Kudos to ASL Bloom for that:-)

### 5/5 — Favourite app

This app is really making me learn a lot each day

### 5/5 — Love it

### 5/5 — Should be able to record for flash cards

*2026-08-30, version 1.74*

### 5/5 — SO NICE😍

*2026-08-29, version 1.74*

this app is amazing i been learning a lot with this app im in Love😍

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2026-08-29, version 1.74*

This app is awesome and fun but there is no sound for obvious reasons though i wish they added quiet music or something but sometimes it being quiet is great but the teachers are awesome if your looking to learn asl bsl or any other kind of sign language its great

This was not a paid review

### 5/5 — I have tried two other apps

*2026-08-29, version 1.74*

I have tried to learn asl in the past from two different apps and this one has me looking forward to lessons. The way things are shown and taught works well with my brain and it is very assuring to know that many if not all of the teachers helping through this app are deaf or hard of hearing themselves. This app makes learning asl engaging and fun to remember.

### 5/5 — ASL

*2026-08-29, version 1.74*

Amazing and helpful
