### 4/5 — Happy so far!

*2026-04-25, version 1.4.1*

i’m happy with this app but i
don’t have any extra money to
pay for it!! i hope
it’s free and i am not disappointed in free lessons.

### 2/5 — I would kind of get this

*2026-04-22, version 1.4.1*

So for me when there’s a camera, you can show what you’re doing but when I press the camera, my face is upside down. I tried everything and it was still upside down and I’m not deaf. I can hear I just want to learn it for fun and I want them to give me real lessons. This is nothing I want me to send a video to them and they’ll give me a report of if I did good if I did bad do you want to work on it like what this is nothing so I wouldn’t recommend it

### 2/5 — Looked good until it wanted me to pay

*2026-01-27, version 1.4.0*

I downloaded the app because I thought it was free only for the first tab to pop up and say I had to pay. I took asl 1 in school, but haven’t taken any since because of financial reasons. I thought this was a good option until it asked me to pay.

### 3/5 — Availability

*2025-12-17, version 1.4.0*

I am so excited about this loved Duolingo structure immediately went to ask my son to download it as I want him to learn with me but I have apple and he has android it was not available for him he had to get lingvano instead please make it available across the stores please.

### 2/5 — Paywall

*2025-12-02, version 1.4.0*

This a looks great and based off the reviews I’ve seen, it probably works great! My only issue is the paywall… I understand that it can be pretty expensive running and developing an app like this, but I unfortunately do not have the money to afford to pay the cost. I tried to get started, but I have found myself unable to click past the first paywall talking about a free trial. I know this isn’t an issue with my phone as I had restarted my phone and opened and closed the app multiple times trying to get it to work. On behalf of all the people out there who WANT to learn ASL but don’t have the money: please get rid of the immediate paywall and make sure to still provide good quality lessons (a saw another review mentioning lower quality on the free lessons) for free.

### 2/5 — Why

*2025-11-16, version 1.3.23*

Why do you make me pay???? I want to learn sign language for fun. To teach to my family. But noooooo what do you make us do… YOU MAKE US PAY!!!!!! Like how do you continue????? I really like this app and any other app I try has different words and hand signals. I doesn’t make sense. So I’d rather stick to this one but I can’t

### 5/5 — The only thing I have left

*2025-08-29, version 1.3.20*

The first thing you need is an extra pair of shoes and

### 5/5 — ASL signs easy to learn

*2025-05-16, version 1.3.16*

It’s beginner friendly application, I’m ADHD and this app helped me to learn American sign language with fun

### 1/5 — Payment

*2025-05-12*

Terrible why do I need to pay to learn how to sign. My father who’s deaf I cannot speak to him any way possible and you want me to pay mad money just to learn how to speak with my hand and fingers. This is so dumb

### 2/5 — I have to pay

*2025-05-06, version 1.3.16*

At first I loved this app I’ve always wanted to learn asl and this seemed like a good opportunity but two issues arrived they only offered one angle that made some signs hard because from the straightforward angle I couldn’t see there full hand. And the biggest issue you have to pay in order to learn everything. They give you one full Duolingo style lesson and then lock it all behind a paywall. I think in a world with deaf people locking such a handy and simple tool to communicate with someone who can hear words behind a paywall is corporal greed.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Sad I downloaded

*2026-07-26, version 1.4.2*

App images stopped working consistently and email to support bounced back. Wish i had not wasted the money

### 1/5 — Money spender

*2026-06-01, version 1.4.1*

This app to me was stupid. Because once you think you can keep learning sign you CAN'T! They just want money to let you keep learning. I have been looking for days to find good apps that teach you sign but guess what! I HAVEN'T FOUND ONE!! If you are looking for a nice free ASL app this isn't it. Hope if you want to use this app you can pay like $20 a month

### 1/5 — Doesn’t allow to move forward

*2026-04-30, version 1.4.1*

This app is one of the worst ASL apps, it doesn’t allow you to move forward it keeps going to basic even when you have done it several times, it’s redundant.

### 1/5 — Skip- Not Free very much not free like Duolingo not free

*2026-03-02, version 1.4.0*

I wouldn’t have wasted my time. $99 a year is not worth it. I could take a class for $75 & have permanent use @ Marianne Molinari’s online class. Peace out!

### 1/5 — Looking forward to learning ASL.

*2026-01-24, version 1.4.0*

It is a nice app. The app description is misleading. Says free, but has a 3 day free preview then charges. This is certainly NOT like Duolingo. I used Duolingo for years free of charge, only had to endure ads…this app should do the same, making language learning accessible for all users, not just those who can pay $$$.

### 1/5 — Paywall

*2025-12-19, version 1.4.0*

Gives you one free lesson, asks for a review, and then the paywall appears

### 1/5 — Payment

*2025-12-14, version 1.4.0*

You have to pay to learn ASL!? That makes me so mad!? Yes I learned the basics thank you but I can’t learn the alphabet without paying? Are you serious!? That’s just some bull if I have seen one. I was so excited because I thought I could surprise my friend by learning more ASL without them knowing but no.

### 1/5 — Nonexistent customer service

*2025-11-12, version 1.3.23*

Mistakes throughout, then finally nothing on page but gray rectangles and unable to use.. they do not answer emails or feedback on their site. Had to resort to disputing with my credit card company. Sad thing was we were really relying on this program.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2025-09-03, version 1.3.20*

I enjoyed the six month free trial that gave me a chance to brush up with my signing.

I'm losing my voice thanks to the Tracheostomy I got in February of 2025.

Since I've been teaching my kids & grands basic sign language since they were born, signing has been a great way to communicate.

Unfortunately, being on disability, I can't afford the $100/year for this app.

I figured that's ok, I've made it far enough that we can review it at our own luxury.

NOPE!!!!!!!

I can only see the first four lessons.

Thanks a bunch for locking me out, just because I can't afford to pay $100/year.

### 1/5 — Took my money

*2025-09-01*

Even I’ve tried to cancel for two months. Took my money anyway.

*2026-02-25, version 1.4.0*
