It does one thing, and does it well - improves your finger spelling skills. I like the ability to choose from beginner to advanced lessons as I’m not a real fast learner. But reading what other people are saying has still been an issue for me (especially the T, N, and M getting mixed up.) but this app has helped me a lot, and it has enough words that it can be hard to memorize them, meaning it reduces predictability and you actually have to continue to read it out. I do still think there should be more since I got a few of the same words more than once, but I think I’ll have mastered finger spelling before it becomes too predictable. It also allows you to reduce the amount of ads for free, which I respect so much I chose to continue having a lot of ads to support the developer of this awesome app. Communication shouldn’t be monetized, and this developer knows this! 10/10 ### 5/5 — Wonderful Tool for Learning ASL *2024-03-14* I have tried numerous tools, but this one is the best I have used. This app doesn’t do that! My Fingerspelling receptive skills have drastically improved since starting to use this app and when my first ASL class came around I was able to understand everyone’s names without needing to ask for repetition. Clean, modern design, simple interface, full videos of each word in its entirety—NOT a bunch of individual unmoving handshakes strung together in an animated gif. Bonus features for me include ability to choose speed/difficulty, word length, and category! So you can tweak the dials to customize your experience to challenge yourself at the level you’re at. There’s no realistic cadence of how Deaf people actually sign. The only reason anyone uses this roiling cesspool of garbage that aspires to mediocrity is that nobody has bothered to make a better app. They are the king of the trash pile. ### 3/5 — Listen *2026-04-02* This game overall is good. However if you don’t know a word instead of helping it just give you the answer. Just in case you didn’t know… this app isn’t an asl learning app all it does it spelling asl. ADHD multi tasking. Ie: listen to law and order in the background while practicing fingerspelling recognition.
