The gameplay is good, and the animations are great, but I find the individual Proxyan stories disappointing. I was hoping for some romance and deeper connections between the architect and some Proxyans, but aside from Rachel and Airen, this is avoided in the game (admittedly, I have not seen them all). Instead of this, one individual story focuses on a Proxyan being creepily non-consensual with other Proxyans (Melissa), which is unsettling. It’s odd that the game almost entirely avoids romantic undertones except where Melissa is being creepy and borderline non-consensual with other Proxyans (I didn’t finish her story as it was too unsettling). There’s no oath system or meaningful romantic progression to make you feel invested in these relationships, which is a pity. If you’re looking for affection, romance or an oath type system, this game is not for you. The focus here seems to be more on PvP (very competitive and dominated by whales) and less on developing emotional connections with the characters. While Rachel’s story is a highlight, it’s one of the few that stands out. I’m sticking with the game for now because of a handful of Proxyans with stronger interactions (like Rachel and Airen), but I can’t ignore how disappointed I am with the lack of depth in relationships. I’m assuming that most characters are also already in the game so don’t expect anything much to change in this space. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — review *2025-07-07* this game is very fanservice heavy so unless thats something you look for i wouldnt recommend this. it also doesnt have much of anything special you cant find anywhere else. Its very average, the tutorials felt lengthy and the gacha system wasnt very special. I will say that the 2d art and animation is very high quality and impressive. U guys listening? ### 1/5 — Misleading banner rates and rules *2025-03-06, version 4.7* As the title, complete trash company that doesn’t disclose gacha rates, has a “habit” of disclosing wrong banner rules like they did with Eradica, they didn’t even give compensation, avoid this garbage game and company, just play Eversoul since thats what they copied anyways. ### 1/5 — Focus on PVP, not character connections and story. *2025-02-19, version 3.4* STARSEED is a visually impressive game with good gameplay, but it falls short in character interactions and emotional depth. The game seems to heavily prioritize PvP, leaving little room for meaningful storytelling or player immersion. At times, the MC seems disconnected from the world. For example, the MC is almost never mentioned in the Proxyans Instarseed posts (the game’s version of Instagram) even through posts are ostensibly triggered by leveling up “affection” with Proxyans. Essentially it’s like looking in on a world the MC is not a meaningful part of. Many Proxyans are indifferent toward the MC, and the game avoids any romantic connections - even subtle - between the MC and Proxyans. It’s not that the game avoids this entirely, it’s just that it only features romance between Proxyans themselves. This lack of emotional investment makes the player feel disconnected from the world. The individual Proxyan stories are mixed at best. While some, like Rachel’s, stand out, this is really rare. The absence of an oath system or meaningful romantic progression further diminishes the experience. If you’re looking for a game where the MC forms deep, meaningful relationships—or even subtle romantic connections—this isn’t it. STARSEED is best suited for competitive PvP players, but those seeking emotional engagement or a sense of importance in the story should look elsewhere (e.g Nikke). I’m really hoping that the game improves, and think it has a lot of potential, but it’s a very unsatisfying experience as it currently is. ### 1/5 — I *2025-02-04, version 3.4* Really hate that. Was said to be 1.6% in reality was .4%. Once they got caught they fixed the wording on the rate pull and only compensated people back 20% of what they pulled on the banner. This game really hit the mark perfectly, great graphics, a good and fun story, the characters are amazing, and I like the slower pace of the game. The interactivity is mind blowing, the phone mechanic is hands down the best one I have tried out. Seeing other character comments and being able to emote on the photos adds that awesome immersive factor to the game. This is my first experience with Com2uS, and they knocked it out of the park for me. Been playing since day 1, and enjoying every minute of it. You do hit walls, but a few days of dailies and events and progressing again. I love the cg scenes, and the song that plays when you download updates has me addicted!
