## What is Asobi?

Watching media over a browser has a lot of limited options on iOS. The default browser, safari has a ton of clutter which makes a non-immersive experience for consuming media. Asobi solves this problem.

At its core, Asobi allows you to view media without any clutter on a mobile device because space is important when viewing a website.

There is no URL bar in Asobi. Instead, a default URL can be set to open on every app launch. This allows the user to jump right into the action instead of having a homepage on the screen.

Asobi also has other hallmarks of a standard web browser such as:
- History
- Bookmarks
- Downloads

There are also privacy related features such as:
- Incognito mode
- Ad blocking
- Authentication on startup
- Hiding content in the recents menu

Asobi has a navigation bar to quickly access all the options above. This bar can be tucked away automatically or with a triple tap of the screen.

The app is free and 100% open sourced: https://github.com/bdashore3/Asobi

More information is in the app website: https://kingbri.dev/asobi

Happy browsing!

### 5/5 — Best Light-Weighted Broswer!

*2024-09-10, version 1.5.1*

This 4.9MB broswer has a lot of functions, like block ads and stuff. I use this for my website which I want it to be the startup page, and it's perfect, you can also scale the broswer which makes my broswer manga reader PERFECT, keep it up!

### 1/5 — Slow Loading

*2024-07-14, version 1.5.1*

The loading takes forever, and as writing this review, it’s still loading

### 5/5 — THANK YOU SO MUCH

*2024-05-06, version 1.5.1*

There are some website I like using that don’t have PWA support and this makes them criminally nice to use.

Also discord’s mobile app is terrible and this lets me use the desktop website, which is 10x better on an iPad.

Thank you so much.

### 5/5 — i lub dis app

*2023-10-02*

i use it for manga and anime all the time it’s pretty sick

### 5/5 — Really great

*2023-08-23, version 1.5.0*

I almost never write reviews for anything unless the product is extremely good or extremely bad. This app is extremely good. It's the most that I could have asked for in a browser for streaming content. Blocks ads & popups perfectly, super minimalist, load times are not bogged down by any unnecessary features. No ads of its own or popups. Amazing job

### 5/5 — Great browser for web video

*2023-03-29, version 1.5.0*

This is a great browser for online videos where the pages are full of ads. It launches the video full screen and takes out the distractions! Really awesome!

### 5/5 — Great

*2022-11-19, version 1.4.1*

### 4/5 — Useful and promising

*2022-01-30, version 1.2.1*

Pasting doesn't seem to work. It pastes multiple copies of what I was trying to paste.
