### 5/5 — My favorite app for years

*2021-11-27, version 1.89*

I have been using this app for years, on and off. Lately more often since having to change eating habits.

### 5/5 — Very useful!

*2021-11-25, version 1.89*

I love this app because it makes it very easy to track what I’m eating and how many calories or crabs I’m consuming.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2021-11-25, version 1.89*

To lose weight I need an app that helps me keep track of calories, exercise, and weight. This app does all that. It calculates the maximum daily caloric intake in order to reach your goal, and the extensive list of calories in each food makes this easy to track.

### 5/5 — Great except....

*2021-11-17, version 1.88*

I really enjoy this app and being able to track my calories, crabs, protein etc. the major problem I have is the app doesn’t know the difference between total crabs and net crabs. So for all you Atkins users and people like me who are blending Atkins food/snacks into our keto diet, I recommend you create your own food instead of using the search results.

### 5/5 — This Is A Good App

*2021-11-17, version 1.88*

I’m a Muay Thai fighter/coach, and marathon/ultra marathon runner, and I downloaded this app because I was switching to a high fat, low crab diet to train for my next ultra marathon, and I just need to be a little more efficient at using fat for fuel.

### 5/5 — Suggestion

*2021-11-16, version 1.88*

Love the app, but have a suggestion and there wasn't an option for sending one in the app. It would be nice if we could put the time of our meals in.

### 5/5 — Count your calories

*2021-11-11, version 1.88*

Hi! I am on my 4th week using the app after neglecting it for two years! Keep calories low log meals and exercise. Watch you graph go down y’all!

### 5/5 — Happy with my purchase (FREE)

*2021-11-11, version 1.88*

I am happy to finally have found an app to track my food for free. I am tired of all the fitness apps that require a payment for every separate section of the app,

### 5/5 — Love the community

*2021-11-10, version 1.88*

I love this app; it had helped me lose a significant amount of weight in the past. For some reason I stopped using it and gained much of it back over the past two years. I tried using a different app (MyFitnessPal) but there were too many ads and the reminders automatically shut off if you forget to log for a few days.

### 5/5 — Finally something that works for me!

*2021-11-08, version 1.88*

This app works for me because it allows me to track crabs easily. I type in what I eat (or want to eat) and immediately I know if that is a good choice for me.

### 5/5 — Best Calorie Tracking App

*2021-11-05, version 1.87*

I love the saved meal feature, I love the line graph for your weight, I love the recipe feature, I love that it’s green,

### 5/5 — So great!

*2021-11-02, version 1.86*

Unlike Noom and all the other apps that make you pay, this app is free and also doesn’t try to pester you about limiting foods insanely or stressing education that doesn’t apply to everyone.

### 5/5 — Great app to keep track

*2021-11-02, version 1.86*

This app is great for those that want to keep track of calories, macros, or helping to understand you're eating habits better.

### 5/5 — Best calorie counting app ever

*2021-10-31, version 1.85*

Been using the I Phone Freshbit app for a little more than a week and finally have found the tool that is going to keep me on track to my goal.

### 5/5 — Freshbit easy for an old computer tech to use!

*2021-10-28, version 1.85*

I am sure I’ve not explored all the features of this easy to use program. I installed it on my iPhone, iPad and Windows PC. I see everything across all platforms. The program finds just about every food I eat. I’ve lost 25 pounds in just over a month. I’ve also paired it with the Health app on my iPhone. It’s just a fantastic App.

### 5/5 — Easy and efficient

*2021-10-28, version 1.85*

Have used a few calorie/macro/weight tracking apps, this one is by far the easiest I have used.

### 5/5 — Education

*2021-10-27, version 1.85*

My biggest problem when trying to lose weight was foods that I thought were good for me really were not, when I started using the app and seeing how many calories foods had in them, I made different choices, there are days that I don’t even come close to eating all my calorie because of the smart choices I am making

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of time and money

*2022-08-23, version 2.12*

The biggest issue I have with this app is the inaccurate and outdated information. The nutritional information is limited to less than a dozen nutrients and includes elements of concern such as cholesterol. Even the American Heart Association has gotten rid of an upper limit on dietary cholesterol. Previously it had been set at 300 milligrams per day, but that was discontinued following examination of the current evidence.

It lists by eggs as having average nutrition. Perhaps this is because several of the nutrients in eggs are simply not considered by this app. As I said, it only analyzes something like a dozen nutrients. Only 1 of the B vitamins makes the cut (B12) and all of the rest are apparently irrelevant. Maybe there is a way to add them in, but if so I cannot find the option to do so.

I wanted to try the fasting clock, and it works while in the fast. However, if it tracks your prior fasts in the app somewhere, I cannot find it. As by soon as I hit “end fast” it simply disappears.

The search option to log food is hit or miss. Sometimes it has the item, and sometimes not. Even when it does, the quantity options are poor and a bit ridiculous at times. Did I eat a pound of eggs? Of course not. Why is this even an option? Who eats a pound of eggs?????

It offers a keto option, but then gives you red warnings all over for high fat. …which is exactly what keto requires. Talk about whiplash.

Anyway, I spent the $20 on this app with the intent of being held accountable and having extra motivation. In the end I am just frustrated and deleting it.

### 1/5 — Avoid this app like the plague

*2021-08-24, version 1.80*

One of the worst nutrition tracking apps I’ve ever tried! Don’t waste your time and let me save you some frustration by saying AVOID this app at all costs, the worst!!

### 1/5 — “Chicken”. Only options are skinless.

*2020-04-28, version 1.53*

Searching for a good app. The first thing I check is chicken, only options are skinless, you know unless you count all the take out restaurants. None of that is keto.

### 1/5 — Wonderful upgrade from others

*2020-02-29, version 1.47*

2/28/2020: Update - so suddenly this is a paid for app. Watch out. You can log 7 things / day and stay on free. Would have been nice to have a warning....

Original review:
Loving this tracker:
1) simple, clean UI. As supported but unobtrusive
2) quickly add macros for food you won’t want to look up or set up
3) most food has a 1 gram unit so using my scale is complimented nicely
4) lovely pictures!
5) some foods have sizes of them, like short/tall/grande/venti. That is very cool.

What I would like on the development roadmap:
1) copy from day to day
2) create a “meal” since many days I eat the same things (I may have to move to adding those meal macros up and doing a quick add off of a cheat sheet?)
3) first screen view of my available # of macros versus % consumed (perhaps an option to view that way)
4) more foods showing up on barcode scanner

That’s it so far - loving this over other popular food or macro tracking apps!

### 2/5 — Can’t find the right foods

*2022-04-14, version 2.05*

Trying to enter foods into diary is almost impossible. Sometimes eating out is the only option and when it doesn’t have Chick fil A options that’s bad

### 2/5 — Too many ads

*2020-07-05, version 1.57*

This app is more interested in making you sign up for their premium service than just letting you track simple carbs/protein. Sorry, going to delete and go to an app that tracks nutrients instead of dollars.

### 2/5 — Misleading

*2020-03-13, version 1.49*

The description doesn’t tell you that you can only log 14 items a day or you have to pay for the app. I’ll have to refigure individual items to be grouped together so I have less than 14.

### 2/5 — Fresh Bit

*2020-02-23, version 1.45*

I downloaded, signed up and the calorie counter did NOT have plain non-instant oatmeal! I was astonished. Cookies and sweetened instant was all! I thought maybe I could input manually. Not so much. This has a far too limited database and is frankly unbelievable. Don’t waste your time or space on your phone! I gave it 2 stars only for being more or less functional. Not useful though!

### 3/5 — Fresh it review

*2020-12-29, version 1.67*

Portion size is not worth the price. I love freshly but can’t afford it. Wish I could.

### 4/5 — Does ALot! One miss so far

*2022-07-05, version 2.12*

I bought the year subscription based on reviews. After using for a week the only negative is not being able to change start time on a fast when i forget to hit the fast button. At least i havent been able to find an answer for this (yet). All other questions ive had have been answered through other users questions being answered by responsive app developers/support. This is the biggest plus overall. I look forward to seeing success with the daily use.
