### 1/5 — Poor App

*2024-10-08, version 1.0.17*

The app drops Bluetooth connection and does not provide a reliable readout of workout data, much less log workouts. Unable to sync with Strava or other popular fitness apps. Disappointing that there is not a better app to compliment a great piece of equipment.

### 1/5 — Bluetooth doesn’t work

*2024-10-06, version 1.0.17*

Really annoying that the Bluetooth feature doesn’t work. Contacted support with no resolution. Disappointing

### 1/5 — Utter garbage

*2024-09-21, version 1.0.17*

Zero useful integrations to anything. Waste of time!

Make it make sense if you’re gonna launch an app ffs

### 1/5 — Pay $3k, no smartwatch support

*2024-09-14, version 1.0.17*

Majority of buyers have a garmin, etc. not also focusing external app integration is a huge miss and sets C2 lightyears apart.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-08-03, version 1.0.17*

Useless app. I tried to use this with an Assault Runner Pro and the app connected but did not record the data from the machine - it just showed a screen where you type in the data manually.

The developers should take a look at how easy and effective Concept 2’s Erg Data app works to set up custom workouts and record all the data in a log book. If only Concept 2 made curved treadmills so I wouldn’t have to use the Assault Fitness equipment in my gym!

### 1/5 — Unfortunately, not very good

*2024-04-10*

I actually purchased the upgraded console for my Assault Bike Classic separately, as I wanted to try to capture my data in Apple Fitness or Garmin Connect or something.

As folks have noted, it does not have any data integration that I can see. Data needs to be manually entered post workout. Which leads me to my next issue.

The app randomly “resets” during my workout. I hit the BT button on the console, verify the console is seen in the app under settings > Bluetooth, and start my workout. I then set my phone down and start my workout. When I finish and go to select end workout in the app, at LEAST 1/2 the time the app has reset back to the main page.

The first time I used the app, both the console and app connected to my Polar H10 HRM. Now if it connects/records 1 out of 10 times I am fortunate. It works fine on every Garmin, Sole, Concept and Wahoo device without fail. That may not be the apps fault, but it adds to the frustration. Coupled with the infrequent and vague updates released by Assault, I cannot rely on the app.

Sorry Assault - great equipment, awful app and integration platform. I suspect developing a basic app to provide rudimentary integration would not be THAT expensive or difficult. Heck - I would even pay a small subscription fee if that is what it would take.

### 1/5 — Simply doesn’t work anymore

*2024-02-17, version 1.0.17*

When similar priced competition has ecosystems of apps, can’t you at least provide a basic working app that syncs with the machines you make ? Is that too much to ask ? Regretting the purchase of the rower.

### 1/5 — Would give 0 stars

*2024-01-26, version 1.0.17*

App won’t connect via Bluetooth to my watch or my phone. Won’t automatically detect my workouts. Worthless. And really unfortunate.

### 1/5 — Bluetooth not working

*2024-01-08, version 1.0.17*

Equipment can not conect over blurtooth. Wortless app.

### 1/5 — Useless app

*2024-01-02, version 1.0.17*

I have the rower pro and absolutely love it. This app is useless as it will connect to the rower but I still have to manually enter the stats at the end of my workout, essentially making it a timer only. Forget about connecting whoop or your Apple Watch.

### 1/5 — This App is Garbage

*2024-01-01, version 1.0.17*

I purchased an Assault Runner Pro. It is an amazing treadmill. I love it. However, the companion app is complete garbage. Such a wasted opportunity. Assault should invest in developing a serious app that interfaces with Apple Fitness.

I recommend the treadmill to anyone, but don’t buy it if you want good app integration.

### 1/5 — Bluetooth on console doesn’t do anything in app

*2023-12-30, version 1.0.17*

Just got the Assault Bike Pro with the Bluetooth feature but not sure what it is supposed to do. I can get it to connect to the app on the phone (press Bluetooth button on console and see the 6 digit code in the app that is checked), and that’s about it. When I start using the bike the console shows calories, distance, time etc. but I don’t see any of this data in the app or history. Luckily the Pro bike was on sale for Black Friday but given the upgraded console doesn’t actually do anything with the app the regular price if it hadn’t been on sale would not have been justified.

### 1/5 — Serves no purpose

*2023-08-24, version 1.0.17*

This app accomplishes nothing and is useless! Appears to “connect” via Bluetooth with the pro/elite console but it doesn’t sync with the console, doesn’t display metrics from the console, doesn’t even record metrics from the console? So what’s the point???

### 1/5 — Useless app and connectivity?

*2023-02-01*

I use an Assault Elite bike with a Bluetooth button at my local gym.

I have a Polar H10 heart monitor, an iPhone, a Garmin Edge 530, and a Garmin HR Dual heart monitor.

I have this Assault Fitness iOs app.

I cannot figure out how to get the bike or the app to read my Heart Rate data. I’ve gone through support and so far have been advised to use “Polar’s HR5k or HR122k” - which as far as I can tell don’t exist.

How is this done? I can go into the app settings/Bluetooth and connect to the bike, but neither read my heart rate. The bike has ‘Heart Rate’ programs, so I can tell it’s supposed to work, but appears to be completely useless.

Mechanically, the bike is cool, but to actually use it with useful data, I guess I’ll record with Polar Beat and just ignore the bike’s console and delete this app. Maybe the console will give me Watts sometimes. Glad I didn’t buy this for my home.

I’ll update this review if I receive useful connectivity info. I hope I do.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t work with Apple Watch heart rate

*2023-01-23, version 1.0.17*

The Assault Bike Requires 5khz heart rate monitor . Does not work with Apple Watch to monitor heart rate even with other apps like Echo.

### 2/5 — iOS Connect to Health

*2023-01-15, version 1.0.17*

Would love it, if it connected to iOS Health app

### 1/5 — Sync issues

*2025-09-25, version 1.0.17*

Doesn't sync with either of the two Assault Fitness Runner Pros in my gym. Useless.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-09-01, version 1.0.17*

Jesus Christ this app is terrible.

Why don’t you offer things like syncing to apps like Strava/ TrainingPeaks ?

It was actually painful to use, seriously.

### 1/5 — Workouts

*2025-05-10*

The app provides several good workouts that are challenging. That is the only reason for the star. The app does not sync data from the console. Over 50% of the time, my workout (on a runner platform) records as a bike workout. Another 25%, it doesn’t capture any data. The app developers have also not been helpful. It is either, we will respond in 48-72 hrs then they don’t respond or an email saying they are working on the app then recommend you use a different app.

### 1/5 — Trash app

*2025-02-03, version 1.0.17*

I have the assault runner and the app won’t even identify the machine. Nor will the app help desk service respond to an email or phone call.

### 1/5 — Don’t Bother!!!

*2024-12-10, version 1.0.17*

This app is trash. It won’t find the Bluetooth on the console to track stats. Assault Fitness customer service is equally trash…hopefully this thing won’t break down and I actually need them for warranty services.

### 1/5 — False advertising

*2024-12-05, version 1.0.17*

Does not connect to app. Nothing gets logged. What’s the point?

### 1/5 — App never syncs

*2024-12-02, version 1.0.17*

It’s been a year since you updated your app. It’s horrible

### 1/5 — 2024 =app 1999

*2024-11-21, version 1.0.17*

Love assault bike app is bad.. all other one star reviews match me.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2024-10-30*

Don’t waste your time. The assault fitness app is garbage. Wont even “see” my phone to connect to it. The head unit that comes with the assault runner elite is also garbage. For $3600 it should come with something better than a glorified stopwatch that your kindergarten PE teacher carried. I mean unprogrammed LCD touchscreen displays used for tablets are like $80 on the street.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2024-10-29*

This app is not worth it. The explanation of the WOD is poorly written. Contrarily to some other fitness apps, pairing a heart rate monitor to this app is almost impossible and the app does not synchronize with my Assault Bike. I was told that another app is in the pipeline; let’s hope it will be much better than this one.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for my assault bike

*2023-01-22*

I love this app! Thank you assault fitness. It gives me ideas to make my workouts with the assault bike more engaging and interesting. I love a challenge. I love and hate this assault bike but your app makes it more motivating.

### 5/5 — Great content

*2022-11-14, version 1.0.16*

A new workout every day, love it!

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2021-04-22, version 1.0.2*

Love how easy the app is to navigate. All workouts are doable in the garage at home!

### 5/5 — First to 50 & Assault Bike 👍🏼

*2021-04-20*

I was able to test this app out as an early beta tester and it’s great! Love the first to 50 challenge and I’m in the middle of going through the Zoar signature challenge now which is intense. With the app, I can track my workouts, do workouts of the day, and connect/challenge friends.

Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Fantastic app!

*2021-04-20*

Love that I can create custom workouts, invite friends and do challenges. The workouts are hard but fun and I dig that I can see my stats. Cool app

### 3/5 — Needs Work but the workouts are great

*2024-06-17*

Unfortunately it seems like the workouts I did disappeared and now are only showing as freestyle workouts instead of being listed on a leaderboard. It’s like someone is deleting the wod for particular days? It doesn’t connect to your machine - which is fine but I just wish the wods that they plan didn’t glitch out and be removed from the app. They are great workouts but unfortunately I think there may be some sort of bug that is removing wods for particular days so you can’t get into a routine.

### 3/5 — Needs work

*2022-05-17*

I have no issues with Bluetooth as others but, come on. What is the point of connectivity if the bike does not sync accurately with the app to show your actual workout stats. Very frequently have to adjust what the numbers after a workout as they don’t reflect what the bike shows. Also, need to be able to sync with “health” in iOS. So much potential and I love my bike but the app is terribly executed. Please do better…

### 3/5 — Good start needs work

*2021-05-01*

It doesn’t complete sync with the bike. I wish it would work directly with the bikes program. When I hit stop at 20k on the bike I have to stop the app. Also the custom programs don’t auto stop. If I do 15k for time I still need to stop in the app. They are pretty much only good for grouping rides.

Good start and long overdue for an app but it needs work. Maybe they can learn from concept 2

### 2/5 — Breaks often

*2024-12-01, version 1.0.17*

Every 2 weeks the app does not update and “breaks”. Not ideal for a dependable WOD.

### 2/5 — No new workouts

*2023-07-25, version 1.0.17*

Stopped getting the daily workouts. Tried deleting the app and reinstalling but that didn’t change anything
