SUPER AWESOME APP!!! ### 5/5 — Must Have *2016-03-06* Awesome app for storing drills, player attendance, and team contact info. I love being able to scroll through years of archived plans and then clicking and rearranging practice plans. The pdf export to email function and diagram/video clip for exercises is a HUGE time-saver! It takes a bit of time to plug in all of your drills at first...but TOTALLY worth it in the long run! It has really saved me a lot of time when it comes to planning practices and being able to explain what were doing in my drills to my players. You can add your favorite drills into the program directly which allows you to access them easily and add them to your practice plan. I also like being able to keep my stats and players info all organized in one program. I also like the fact that you can put in your wins and loss record into the app as well. While there are still some quarks being worked out, the developer is very quick in responding to emails and taking suggestions. He has already sent out a new update with one of the things that I had requested. He is also working on some of the other ideas that I had mentioned to him. Like I said if you're looking for perfection give this app a little more time. However, there is no app like this out there right now for volleyball. I highly recommend this app as it has potential to really help coaches save time! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No options for libero or substitute! *2025-03-22* There is no way to have a Libero or substitute in the lineup. Ridiculous app. D ### 1/5 — useless *2013-05-08* That's why I will never buy apps without reviews, it is useless, and not even easy to use, just one of many cloned apps that do not have any meaning. ### 3/5 — Used to love it *2024-12-04* I used to love this app as a way to share drills between coaches. But now the website doesn’t allow you to log in anymore so there is no way to share or stream PDFs. **Developer response:** Dear Coach, you can still share all your PDFs generated with Assistant Coach via multiple options like emails, messages, and so on by using the Share button present in the bottom bar of the PDF viewer screen. The button is the usual iOS share button with the square and the arrow up. From there you’ll be able to share your PDF in any way you like. Valerio. ### 3/5 — No verification email received *2012-09-16* Plan to use this app to plan practices for our club volleyball program (4 teams) this year. Can only backup 100MB of data so not sure if we'll be able to manage all our teams and drills via the app (keeping fingers crossed it'll work for us!). Received excellent customer service from app designer after experiencing some difficulty synching our devices. It all works now, so again, just waiting to put the app the use this season! One downfall of the app so far is the inability to use the app during a match to track stats (can only enter info post-game), but designer tells me it's in the plans. ### 4/5 — Volleyball *2026-02-01* How do you share drills? Have been using it since before they put a price on it...and have bought it for myself and every assistant coach I work with. It's convenient for sharing practice plans as well as storing all previous seasons of practices as well as organizing all your drills. My assistants have imported my drills into their own archives and had a ready supply of drills when they eventually took on their own teams! Only things I wish they would add / fix: * you can't currently upload a picture (I hand draw drills frequently and would like to be able to add the pic in leiu of using the clipboard) *when I load a video of a drill, it doesn't permanently save to that drill in the archive *being able to ZOOM in on the clipboard creature would be great for making the drawings /words more clear. ### 4/5 — Looking Good *2022-09-25* I’ve only used this app for a week…three practices, so far. I really enjoy it and it’s been helping connect names with players. I do wish there was a way to mark players as “excused absent” from practice and “late”. That way I could keep track without having to open a separate app. Everyone in the athletic department is impressed with this app. I enjoy being able to create my own practices with archived drills. Great value. ### 4/5 — A great help *2015-12-30* I love using this app to plan my practices. I've been using it for 3 years. One thing I'd like improved upon is that when I add a new drill to my practice plan using add new, it doesn't save to my archive. So if I want to save the drill to my archive I have to leave the practice plan, go to archive, add it, then go back to my practice plan to add it there. Secondly, I'd love if the app worked with the Apple Watch. I originally started a binder with all my drills and descriptions. This makes it much more feasible as I can add my drills to my practice then archive them! Add videos to the drill to remember how it goes or draw diagrams of it. Then that drill is archived and saved for YEARS. After 4 years of use, I have almost all of my drills added in and all I have to do is look through my archive folders (organized by skill focus) to decide what I want to do each day for practice!
