You are not able to edit any of the field names. For example instead of "Regular Season" I cannot edit to show AAU season. It would also be nice if it could be upgraded to be used as a stat book to be used during games as opposed to have to input stats after the games. Last upgrade should be an option for stats for an individual player complete with picture for recruiting purposes. Second, messages cannot be setup to send replies only to generator so everyone is getting every response. I love that I can archive, diagram and video my drills so I can easily put together my practices. The ability to convert to pdf and print them makes it fast and easy. Sharing is simple and no pop ups, ads or in-app purchases make it headache free. Great resource for coaches. ### 5/5 — Go To Coaches Assistant *2017-07-18* I have been regularly using this app for about 12mths now and I am a huge fan. With the latest update there are even more great options with my favourite being able to schedule and email all from the one place. And the developer is really responsive and will address any issues immediately-so highly recommended. ### 5/5 — The wave of the future... *2016-04-19* Without going into detail, let me begin by qualifying my remarks. I have been coaching longer than I care to admit (and at a relatively high level). I have always tried to be on the front line when it comes to organization and management of player files, drills and practices. I have even designed some of my own practice schedule programs. Suffice it to say that I have been down this road a few times. Assistant Coach seems to have pulled together all of the important aspects required to manage teams and even entire organizations with multiple teams. I believe this program can, with a few minor adjustments/additions satisfy the needs of any coach who wants to be on top of his team's status. The Suggestions: 1) The ability to sync between devices or save/mail the database and open it on a second device (iPad to iPhone and vice-versa) 2) The ability to import data/names from Contacts If that works, and the program cost a little more, then so be it. I think those who are serious about wanting to have control of, and quick access to, their information can accept that. I have tried just about every option on the market... Some kept good attendance data, some kept track of practices, etc. But I never really had one that "really" helped me to: • Write the practice • Select the drills that were best suited for the group that was practicing that day • Kept the practice moving and on time • Instantly make notes to better prepare for the next session ° Print and Share Practices ° Record Games and Player Statistics ° Make Videos of Drills and/or use a Chalkboard Assistant Coach has helped me achieve all the above. In addition, I am able to write practices on the fly ... The only Thing missing is a Timer that runs in conjunction with the Practice Session ... but I can improvise for that Ritz Ingram Head Coach and Program Director, FT Fulda Roadrunners / Germany I only hope that the developer continues to work on his App... Winter and Summer leagues were successful, thanks to Assistant Coach! If you coach hoops, this app will help keep you organized. Great sync feature with my iPhone and iPad. Unlike most of the apps for coaches that I downloaded before, this app has many more features, and helps you on many aspects like team stats, practice plans, players performance.
