## What is Asslama?

Asslama is a privacy-focused messaging app designed for direct, secure communication with people you trust.

Exchange contact details using QR codes or public keys, verify security fingerprints, and connect through peer-to-peer technology. Asslama uses a signaling server only to establish connections; message content is transmitted through the encrypted peer connection

Features include:

  • Encrypted one-to-one messaging
  • Private voice and video calls
  • QR code contact sharing and scanning
  • Security fingerprints for contact verification
  • Face ID and Touch ID app lock
  • Encrypted backup export and iCloud backup support
  • Configurable notification and privacy settings
  • Support for custom Asslama signaling servers

Your encryption keys remain under your control. Backups are protected with a password that Asslama does not store, so be sure to keep it somewhere safe.

Asslama is built for people who want simple communication with greater control over their identity, conversations, and data.
