Nobody could read some of those lines fast enough! This is a rampant problem not just in illiterate games but by inexperienced editors of movie trailers, films, TV programs, commercials and the culture in general as illiterate millennials and foreign scum continue to take over with their stupidity for convention if not inventive pioneering otherwise. You have to spend money on special weapons that only last while you're playing. It resets when you die or exit out, so make the most of it while you're playing or you're just wasting money. If the game crashes - you're SOL. This is with nothing else running in the background, recent reboot, no temp issues and no problems on other apps. Omega tech auto-harvest doesn't work, the military ship is weak, slow, and poor range! Then you lose everything you've earned (ore & weapons. Since your loot is stolen it forces you to buy more with cash. Talk about a ripoff! Game is fun, but an ad pops up every wave and upgrades cost a prohibitive amount so that it's nearly impossible to keep progressing without real money. As someone else mentioned Omegatech costs too much to be useful at all. Good gameplay Atari, but you're ruining it by pushing too hard for In App purchases and never updating. Omega upgrades cost money even after you research them, and they only last one game. By the way, while the original game on the 2600 didn't have the graphics this version does, it was a heck of a lot more fun to play. I suppose my brain simply doesn't work that way. I discovered that while I can't play this game on my iPhone 6s, I can play it on an old iPhone 4s that I had used before I got the newer phone. Once I learned that my 4s still had a purpose, I was able to play the game and save my progress. I finally was able to play it through until I had completed all levels. However, I suggest spending a couple of bucks and buying one of the upper-level ships that are offered because the scout is rather useless. Buy the battleship, even though it's a bit slow, because it can take a beating. But, don't look for any updates for this app in the future. Not only has this app not been updated within the past couple of years, Atari doesn't even discuss this game on their website anymore. ### 5/5 — Asteroids Gunner *2016-03-28, version 1.4.1* GREAT reinvention of a classic! Love the new graphics, weapons, ships, dual control, sounds, and everything else. I won't take a star off, but the enemy ships should be more aggressive.
