One flaw: they very often repeat long words that make it too easy to figure out once you recognize the telltale letters. Spoils the challenge. ### 4/5 — Great puzzles, but... *2024-05-01* This is a fun puzzle app. There are 4 free puzzles each day for a week. You used to be able to play those free puzzles without ads. But now they’ve ruined it and you’re forced to watch commercials. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for that. ### 3/5 — Bah humbug *2017-02-14* I love this game but hate all the ads which I try. To avoid so now, even though I deleted and reinstalled, after I play, it won't go through to show the score. Not good. Also, in this version, I purchased every pack and they are not there either. I purchased all of the packs. A pack of 50 will show I have 7 inside. Shame - it HAD been very enjoyable. ### 1/5 — A Shame *2016-02-20* I do not like this new version of Codeword at all. I really liked the old version, and asked for that to be re-installed, but it seems that is not possible once you have hit the "update" button. This is a completely different game, so should not be classified as an update. A shame, as I guess I'll just have to find a new puzzle now. **Developer response:** Sorry it's taken a while to reply (now we're able to, that helps!), and that the change from version 1 to 2 wasn't to your liking. My partner and I compete every morning to see who can do the puzzles fastest. We’ve even developed our own mini game that you win by getting gold in all 30 puzzles. Only managed it a few times in nearly 10 years. To the developers. Thank you. This is the app I would miss most if it went away.
