Tried deleting and reinstalling, too. What’s going on? ### 4/5 — Crossword solutions needed *2022-07-22* when you spend points on a crossword and can’t finish it immediately when you go back to it if there is more than one there you cannot get the solutions - it is just deleted. Competition doesn’t give anyone outside the first three a great deal of motive, more likely to settle for 4th to 30th. Need more things to spend points on. Every single time I lose, whether it be by less than a second or several seconds, the people that are listed that have better scores than me are names that I’ve never heard of before. I’ve been playing this game for months and eventually realized that the top scorers are fake names that are being put on the list, they’re not real players because you never see them listed before or since. Otherwise this site is great, especially since it frees us from having to accept american spellings, knowing american movie stars, presidents and authors, and oh yes, the last word of the american anthem. My neighbour’s boat is moored in the harbour and he lets me sail it as a favour ... nudge, nudge, wink, wink! I do not mind ads that you can click off when you have read them, but video ads that are excessive in time wasting HAVE RUINED THIS APP. please reconsider using this form of advertising otherwise I will and no doubt others will look elsewhere to satisfy our crossword needs. Latest update makes it difficult to see where you are on the screen and which square you are in. Preferred the previous font that looked like writing with a pen. Due to the video adds and latest changes app now deleted after being played on daily basis Sorry **Developer response:** As a result of feedback we updated the game and have made a number of ways to avoid ads at unexpected times for players who prefer to play for free (they were only ever shown at the end of a game, but now you have the choice of when to see them, or avoid them altogether.) We hope you'll consider taking another look at the game! ### 1/5 — Ruined After Update *2017-07-23* The most recent update has destroyed an otherwise enjoyable and problem-free app. It worked just fine since I downloaded it ages ago, and previous updates never posed an issue. However, the same cannot be said of the most recent update that was pushed out a few weeks ago. The app crashes all the time, regardless of what option I choose: whether I'm trying to access a puzzle, complete the surveys for stamps, or enter a word in a puzzle (if I'm lucky enough to get into one before it freezes and crashes), the app fails every time. I get maybe 10 seconds before it freezes up and shuts down. I won't delete and reinstall because I'd lose all 1300+ of my stamps. What sets Astraware apart is the options that they give you. If you like to play online, there are four new puzzles of varying sizes and difficulty every day, plus a larger puzzle every Friday that’s available for one week. Want to play offline? The downloadable puzzle packs are reasonably priced, and both online and offline play gives you the tools to crack the clues that stump you. Maybe asking for a letter in the word is all you need. Or (if online) you can use the solver feature to see words that could fit given what’s already on the board. The puzzles are the British quick crossword style, so they won’t take as long as American-style crosswords, but you’ll quickly discover that this app plays fair on all counts: Race the clock or solve at your leisure, use hints or not. You can’t ask for much more.
