Poor level designs, controls that are barely tight, very boring gameplay, but the cherry on top is the AI generated art. Oh, you can see the “passion” that went into this game. 🙄 A horrible Astro Bot clone I wouldn’t recommend, and possibly the worst yet.

This game imitates one of my favourite games of all time, “Astro Bot,” and it’s dirty. This game is about a robot called Astronaut Toy, who is the leading star in a mobile platformer game. The laser jump and simple controls and mechanics, the silly rip-off of the name “Astro” to “Astronaut” and “Bot” to “Toy.” This game, however, did come with some funky enemies, like little spherical probes that just gently ram you, depleting your health, and sneaky treasure chests that come alive, although these chests do leave behind a floating clump of gold whenever they move (weird). His lasers, instead of pulsing from his feet, come from his groin area (very weird). He has the body of a depressed, fat dad in a cartoon where the writers are extremely lazy.

The first level, and what I believe is the only level (more on that soon), is quite large and fun, with Aztec-styled statues and cool, blocky mountains. He jumps like he’s on the moon with that sort of gravity when he is clearly not, but sincerely, I don’t know where he is. In the ad, there is an image of him with a different style suit on rather than his golden, slouchy style. The second style in the ad looks well-designed, with cool features and an expressive face. He is now orange with awesome racing stripes and a cute little hat and backpack rather than his plain-boring face and bald head. Well, the good style is not actually in the game; in fact, it’s ripped right out of a show on Netflix called Love, Death & Robots, which is R-18 . So that’s sad.

He does have one other weird style that is blue and looks like a clunk of metal from the 2000s-2010s styled platformer video games, and you have to watch an ad to get it, but when you click “watch ad to get,” nothing happens. And after a 15-minute level, after conquering all the baddies and collecting keys, stars, and coins, the grand temple holds a door that is clearly the exit to what you would assume is the next level. When you enter, it’s nothing but a small hallway that goes nowhere but sadness and boredom. And that’s where I get to say 4/10 or 2/5.
