Best Game Ever!

DOWNLOAD THIS GAME! ITS SO FUN! My friend and I loved this game since day 1!

Awesome! Barely any ads

I was scrolling through Reddit and saw and ad for it and though I should try it out, and it is awesome! Been playing for about 5 minutes and have only gotten one ad!

Abolish the token system, abolish 3-star requirement.

Astrogon is a good game with mostly good mechanics and a theoretically good self-regulating level market. Emphasis on mostly and theoretically. Two mechanics in particular subtract the two missing stars from my rating: the token system and the 3-star requirement for new levels. Players should not have to pay (in stars) to play a level. I say this for two main reasons. The first is that since creators have to give back the stars their players paid in the level itself, the in-level stars usually end up in a line on the path to the end of the level, siphoning all the potential fun and challenge out of them as collectibles. The second reason is that if a player unlocks a level and it turns out it’s not that great, they’re still incentivized to play through it to earn their stars back, which indirectly makes levels worse. In addition, creators should not have to pay (in stars) to create a level and DEFINITELY should not have to pay (in stars) to upload it. They’re already paying, just not with your arbitrary currency system. They’re paying in the form of the time and effort it takes to create a level and then clear-check it. Subjecting a creator either to repetitive ads or snowballing star payments is unnecessary and clearly inferior to the free-market method as a means of separating committed players from uninspired ones. Lastly, in addition to getting rid of the token system, get rid of the 3-star requirement for levels. Creators should find what number of stars their players like best based on the sheer fun and challenge of collecting them. Needless to say, you should not JUST get rid of stars and keep the token system because that will make your arbitrary currency system into an arbitrary, inflationary currency system. That’s all I have for you today. Thanks for watching my TED talk.

Response from developer

Thank you for you TED talk 😸 ! Your point of view is very interesting and we actually are changing the token system in the upcoming 2.0 version (it will also introduce a new multiplayer mode, speedrun mode and many more). Since 2.0 will also be on Steam, we decided to remove the token system for all steam users. Regarding mobile users, it will also be removed for Neo players (the paid lifetime premium).

Astrogon - My review

Astrogon is a very fun arcade platformer in my opinion. Most people are from a youtuber that i will not mention even though i am a watcher of them, I enjoy this as a geometry dash and mario maker player, but please make a horizontal mode. It would be so fun to play the game horizontally as if this was mario maker or something, 5 stars

Mr Malik aka thorsen

Not only did he delete my profile but he also deleted my level from the game. Devs shouldn’t mod a game without any terms or conditions. Therefore I will do everything in my power to get his app taken from the apple store.
