## What is Astrolabe?

Astrolabe is a private portfolio and bookkeeping tracker for people managing multiple brokers, accounts, assets, and currencies. Link an investment trade to a cash account so holdings, cost basis, realized and unrealized P&L, cash flow, and net worth stay in sync.

Use Astrolabe to build a clear picture of your finances:
- See stocks, funds, crypto, cash, property, and custom assets across accounts and currencies
- Link buys and sells to cash accounts so balances update with each trade
- Edit or delete individual transaction records and recalculate holdings and returns
- Review net worth, allocation, cost basis, realized and unrealized P&L, and return trends
- Manage income, expenses, transfers, and recurring plans in the same ledger
- Keep records local by default, with optional sync through your own private iCloud account

Astrolabe Pro unlocks optional AI screenshot recognition, intelligent transaction parsing, optional AI portfolio analysis, iCloud auto sync, price alerts, recurring plans, and deeper analysis workflows.

Astrolabe does not require a developer-operated backend account. Core records stay on device unless you choose iCloud sync, and AI features are optional. AI parsing and analysis are never required for normal portfolio or bookkeeping workflows.
