## What is Astronomy Buddy?

Astronomy Buddy tells you at a glance whether tonight is worth heading outside and exactly what to look at.

Instead of guessing from a generic weather app, Astronomy Buddy reads the sky conditions for your location and turns them into a clear, plain-language verdict: a great night, a short clear window, or one to skip. Then it shows you the planets and the Moon best placed for viewing right now.

TONIGHT'S CONDITIONS
- A plain-language headline so you know at a glance whether to set up
- How much of the night will actually be clear
- Cloud cover, atmospheric steadiness (seeing), and transparency
- Clear viewing windows, with the best time to head out

WHAT TO LOOK FOR
- The planets and Moon that are well placed tonight, ranked by how good the view will be
- Peak time, altitude, and direction for each, so you know where to point
- How long each object stays visible during your session
- How far away each one is, in light-minutes and light-hours

TAILORED TO YOUR GEAR
Set your viewing level–naked eye, or an entry, intermediate, or advanced telescope–and the recommendations adjust to what you can actually see, using sensible magnitude and altitude limits.

BUILT FOR THE JOB
- Use your current location, or enter coordinates for a favorite dark-sky spot
- Choose your own evening viewing window
- Clean, native design with Light, Dark, and Automatic themes
- Your location and settings are remembered for next time

Whether you're a curious beginner stepping outside with just your eyes or a seasoned observer setting up a scope, Astronomy Buddy helps you make the most of a clear night — and avoid wasting one that isn't.

Clear skies!
