Shows no clouds (dark blue) when there is 109% cloud cover. East of England. ### 3/5 — Temperatures wildly & consistantly inacurate *2025-10-14* I’ve used Astrospheric for years and love nearly everything about it — it’s an incredible tool for planning astrophotography. However, the temperature data for Arizona is consistently 8–12°F too low, making dew and temperature planning unreliable. Other apps are accurate within 1°F. I’ve had nights where it said conditions were bad and it was going to be cloudy when they ended up being perfect, and vice versa. Cloud forecast has been wrong several times. Someone the morning of the eclipse added a feature that linked to live satellite views of cloud cover - absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much for making such a robust, easy to use, well coded app. You made our eclipse experience amazing! Also also, using this app for general weather or more importantly, stargazing is the best app you can possibly use. I want to shout you out on social media but I can’t find anything, so to the app reviews I go! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Used To Be Great *2026-05-08, version 14.8.4* The app used to be great.. then it just stopped working. Even after updating it fails to give a forecast. Just a notice saying “network error”. Too bad.. I used the app frequently for about two years. Now it’s useless ### 1/5 — Stopped Workong *2025-11-15, version 12.6.11* I’ve had this app for some time now. And on my iPhone iOS 18.7.2 it stopped working a few weeks back. The main page keeps reloading, no matter where I’m at in the app. It’s essentially useless now. And I can’t find any way to contact the developer for support.. I will really miss this app, and will be hard pressed to find a replacement. But I don’t seem to have any other option as this point. ### 1/5 — Lockdown mode *2025-01-24, version 12.2.0* iPhone with lockdown mode seems to not be supported. Otherwise, cloud forecasts can be found online WITHOUT being charged. App deleted. ### 1/5 — Zero prediction reliability - don’t waste time *2023-01-19, version 8.0.1* Been trying to use this for years but it has a perfect zero reliability in Predicting cloud cover in the northeast. If I could give it a zero I would. I’ve put in Reports of the issue but what does the app developer do, nothing but think you should now pay for the worst forecasting imaginable!! It’s just not worth a subscription for occasional use. Deleting app. ### 2/5 — Awesome app *2026-07-19* Love the app All the info at your fingertips ### 2/5 — Not Accurate for Forecasts or Current Conditions *2023-02-07* I like the user interface of this app, and of course it provides a lot of information that could be useful to astronomers. But I’m surprised that it gets such good ratings from astronomers. On most occasions, the forecast has simply been wrong. It seems to also be wrong in real time — for example, it’ll be 100% cloudy outside but this app will show a blue box and report 0% cloud cover at that time. My GPS location is correct, but it just keeps reporting conditions that are not correct. As a result, I don’t find it useful for predicting stargazing conditions. Is accurate and has so much information. I am unsure how I would properly function without this. From Aurora forecasts, seeing, clouds, transparency, astronomical calendars, and so much more the app is a MUST for any astronomer or those aspiring. That is very beneficial when determining if I want to shoot in Ha, for better detail, or if Oiii is the play tonight since the seeing is a bit worse. The accuracy astonishes me… why can’t all weather reports get this precise! What an idea! ### 5/5 — Go To AstroPhoto App *2025-01-20* There may be better apps, but I don’t know what they would be because I never have a reason not to open this app. I open it all the time I even live in a very cloudy area, but I wanna know when of those clouds gonna pass and if you can get that little Crosshairs directly over your house, which is easier to do you’re gonna have reliable readings.
