## What is AstrotouR?

AstrotouR is an augmented reality observatory for iPhone.

It brings the universe into your room using scientific imagery and visuals based on real physics.

Explore the Solar System, the Milky Way galaxy, and its supermassive black hole, Sagittarius A*. Watch the Sun, planets, and their major moons, their internal structures, and surface features. Examine the cosmic phenomena from every possible angle.

Learn about interesting facts and mythology of stellar bodies and their landscape. Enjoy the scenery around vehicles sent to Mars and the Moon.

Take a moment away from the everyday hustle, become curious about the universe — and a little more thoughtful about our place in it.

So far AstrotouR includes:

• The Solar System: the Sun, its planets and moons, our home galaxy — The Milky Way, and the supermassive black hole in its center
• Mars and lunar vehicles shown in their real environments
• More than 300 articles and stories
• More than 600 photos and images from historical and ongoing space missions
• Detailed 3D visualizations, internal structures, and interactive points of interest
• Support for light and dark mode, with dynamic text size based on your accessibility settings

No data is collected. Your journey through the universe stays on your device.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-25

The Sun was reworked. It's blindingly bright during transition to it, and then it's revealed in dimmed visible spectrum colors. The second false color mode was tuned to impress you with violent plasma swirls like the real narrow-band images do. This mode fades in as you explore the points of interest on the Sun.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-10-09

No release notes.
