## What is Asympta Writing?

Give your thoughts room to grow.

Asympta Writing is a quiet, infinite canvas for handwritten notes, sketches and ideas. Write a journal entry, explore a thought or gather words in separate Spaces, surrounded by natural sound and gently changing light.

• Write and draw with Apple Pencil, or add typed text with an adjustable size preview
• Organize your writing into separate Spaces and return to earlier thoughts on a spatial canvas
• Choose paper with moving leaf shadows, an open sky with drifting clouds, or a night sky with stars
• Listen to wind, sea ambience, or summer-night insects and frogs with an independent volume control
• Enable background playback in the sound controls to keep ambience playing on the Home Screen and while your device is locked
• Use the eraser, move and focus tools, and export your canvas as a PNG image

The free plan includes every canvas tool, local storage, up to three Spaces, and iCloud sync when your device has an available iCloud account. You can use the canvas offline without an Asympta account.

One non-consumable lifetime purchase unlocks Asympta Pro: unlimited Spaces, optional Google Drive backup, merge and recovery between your existing iCloud and Google Drive accounts, and two one-time discounted App Store invitation slots. iCloud sync itself remains free. The purchase does not include additional iCloud or Google Drive storage.

Google Drive connection is optional and uses only the app data scope. Invitation links open Apple's App Store redemption flow, where Apple displays the local price.

Asympta contains no ads, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking.

ON IPHONE DUO
Move between the outer screen and a wider, unfolded canvas. Tools and writing controls adapt to your current window.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.5 — 2026-11-03

• Zen Paper now has a near-white, fine-fibre texture.
• Pen on Leaf and Zen paper now uses warm charcoal ink with natural worn edges and subtle dry-ink gaps.

iPhone Duo: the canvas and writing tools now adapt to the outer and unfolded screens.

### 1.1.4 — 2026-11-03

Smoother, seamless Bubble outlines with slow, water-like shape changes that respond to content and position.
Move whole Bubbles with Select and place; nearby Bubbles gently make room.
A subtle warm sunlight shimmer on the water.
Eraser and Needle options match the Pencil tool style.
Improved stability when leaving a water Space.
Reduced redundant canvas work and improved drawing resource reuse.
Clearer sky-blue water with visible submerged detail and fine, transparent Bubble rims.
Fixed relative movement between handwriting groups while zooming, including the small jitter and position adjustment after releasing the gesture.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-10-18

Zen Mode now moves between scenes with a soft inhale-and-exhale transition and an original soundscape inspired by temple bells and Tibetan singing bowls.

Fixed text created in Zen Mode: after returning to your usual scene, you can move the entire text group with the Select & Place tool, with consistent ink colours across scenes.

Zen Paper now follows ordinary paper writing and interaction behaviour whenever Zen Mode is off.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-10-10

More comfortable writing, with a quieter Night Sky.

• Fixed accidental long lines caused by palm touches on iPad. Using Apple Pencil now switches finger writing off and remembers the setting, including after pauses and reopening the app.
• Long-press the drawing tool to turn finger writing back on. Two-finger pan and pinch-to-zoom remain available.
• Finger writing now has a blue or gray dot beside On or Off, with larger, clearer status text.
• Softened the continuous Night Sky insect ambience so frog calls and quieter details are easier to hear.
• Night Sky background playback now glows with a gentle yellow dot, like a firefly, when enabled.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-10-01

* Fixed an issue that could cause storage usage to grow unexpectedly.
* Improved storage efficiency and reliability.
* Minor bug fixes and performance improvements.
