### 1/5 — Trash

*2021-12-27, version 10.0.3.34*

New version is trash compared to the 8.3.0.20 version. The contacts are in list form in your favorites now instead of a “grid” style. Makes it a lot harder to have to constantly scroll down a list to find a contact. With the grid view you could easily see 12 contacts at a time. Bring this back or at least make it an option to make it that way

### 1/5 — App is now unusable

*2021-07-04, version 10.0.3.34*

After the recent update, this app no longer can receive calls made from talk group channels with integrated dispatch users. This app is unreliable at best, and I pity the agencies that rely on this for emergency communications.

### 1/5 — Not working with iPhone 12 pro max

*2020-12-01, version 9.1.0.53*

After many hours on the phone trying to get this resolved multiple resets and reinstall still not working need someone to help resolve this issue worked find with the 8 plus iPhone that the iPhone 12 pro max replaced need someone to step up and resolve this issue ASAP
Thanks

### 1/5 — Apple watch support

*2019-09-23, version 9.0.0.85*

Looking for Apple watch support as often the app may not open fast due to lock screen. Also looking for the option that is currently listed in Android phones to dedicate a volume button to act as the PTT button. Where is support for IOS 13 and the latest iPhone????
The app support page lists that it is compatible with my phone but ATT says not compatible with Pro Max. Sending out wrong info.

### 1/5 — iPhone 11 not yet supported

*2019-09-21, version 9.0.0.85*

I upgraded to an iPhone 11. EPTT app shows the service has been suspended. I called tech support, they passed me to “advanced” support only to notify me that it is not supported on the new iPhone 11.

### 1/5 — A mess

*2019-01-26, version 9.0.0.21*

App is a mess. Can’t unlock your screen before you’ve missed a call. Unable to see who’s calling with the screen locked. No ability to shortcut from the lock screen to the app. Unable to clear missed notification badges (also unable to find where the badge is actually coming from.)

I’d wish I could tell you to save your money and convert to a dedicated PTT device, but the Sonim devices offered by ATT are so cumbersome, and unreliable they make the whole experience not worth it. All the problems that exist on this app, exist in those devices. As well as a bevy of software bugs that make them little more than ballast for you to lug around.

### 1/5 — iPhone XR

*2018-11-19, version 8.3.0.63*

THIS APP IS NOT SUPPORTED ON TGE IPHONE XR. WASNT TOLD THIS UNTIL I BOUGHT THE XR.

### 2/5 — ...0989976

*2018-10-04, version 8.3.0.63*

How much is it?

### 1/5 — Wish I could give zero stars

*2018-06-18, version 8.3.0.39*

Downloaded this app few years ago when I got my new IPhone 5 s and with in a few hours my battery went dead
Recharged my battery and was dead again within 5 hours
Took my phone back and they said AT&T PTT was running in the back and draining the battery
Deleted the app and my battery lasted for more that 2 days
I now keep being annoyed by text from AT&T PTT telling me I need to update their App
Can not find away to inscribe from their update list
It’s pretty much a spam text but don’t have a spam folder to send it to.
Wish I never downloaded this
Hopefully this will keep anyone else from getting spam text from them
If you do decide to get this app GOOD LUCK!!

### 1/5 — Can’t even get it to work

*2018-06-15, version 8.3.0.39*

I was told to download this on my work phone. Have not been able to download it. Supposedly an ATT issue.

### 1/5 — When will this work on the IPHONE X?????

*2018-02-18, version 8.3.0.13*

I will be buying the iPhone X when this app is available for it. There are a lot of people in my company that will be doing the same thing. Please hurry up and get this working for the iPhone X!

### 1/5 — iPhone 8 Plus

*2018-01-28, version 8.3.0.13*

I bought my iPhone from the apple store and att claims that I cannot use eptt cause i didn’t buy the phone from them!!

### 1/5 — This new version is awful

*2017-11-15, version 8.3.0.13*

Where to start.... The sensitivity is way off. You have to manually go back to the main menu when you end a call...every. single. time. The calls coming in don’t show up sometimes if you’re in a call with another radio. If you miss a call and it actually shows up, it’s no longer red, it’s just white text stating “missed call”. The contact names are cut off on the main screen. The issues go on, and on. Bring back the old version!!

### 1/5 — Static

*2017-08-23, version 8.1.0.8*

Can hear other callers voices but all they hear when I call them is static
This is the second time I've contacted EPTT support but they have never have responded!! Att send me a link for a download but my phone won't let me do it!! That version is newer than the one in my phone. I wish there was a way to delete the old version and download the new one.

### 1/5 — Upgrades

*2016-10-12, version 8.1.0.8*

The app tells me that I need to do a update but when I go to the App Store it says that my phone is on the newest software

### 1/5 — 100% Failure!

*2016-09-28, version 8.0.21.9*

Typical AT&T. Why advertise and launch an app that doesn't work? I downloaded app set it up and all he says is "Server Not Available". Tried several times on different occasions with the same results. Really??

### 1/5 — IPhone 7 not supported!

*2016-09-21, version 8.0.21.9*

Is it so hard to support a new phone?!

### 1/5 — Will not activate

*2016-07-26, version 8.0.21.4*

Same as the rest...app no longer works as it states that it will not activate...no solution found so far

### 1/5 — Won't work with 6s Plus

*2016-07-26, version 8.0.21.4*

I pay for this feature and use it daily for work. However when I upgraded I was not aware this wouldn't work! I would rather have my old phone and be able to use this than have a new phone without the push to talk because I use it so heavily for work. PLEASE HELP!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Room for improvement

*2026-04-17, version 13.0.2.7*

The live activity in the Dynamic Island always shows an icon for this app. Even after force-closing the app, signing out of the app, restarting the phone. And there’s no setting to turn this off. Very frustrating. It makes the app unusable.

### 1/5 — iPhone 17

*2026-04-14, version 13.0.2.7*

Loved the app used it on a daily basis till I got new phone iPhone 17 pro now I can’t use app said not compatible when is the app going to work on I phone 17

### 1/5 — Missed call alerts make it unusable, frustrating

*2026-02-04, version 13.0.2.7*

Please allow multiple missed call alerts to be dismissed all at once. When I open the app I have to sit and repeatedly tap “Not Now” for a flurry of missed calls, which is a horrible user experience. The app doesn’t tell me how many more alerts I have to dismiss. Why not put these alerts in a notification tab list that I can review at my leisure like the iPhone phone app does? Why not allow the user to dismiss all of the alerts at once? These alerts are not ignorable and basically render the app unusable until they’re all dismissed. This is ironic because the app is supposed to be about real time communication and yet when I open the app I’m forced to be reminded of communications past which are useless to me because they are in fact not real time. What’s the point of notifications (but not the contents) of old communication?

Please hire and employ experts in UX and UI design who know how to devise and implement easily usable, frustration free, and intuitive GUI and design paradigms, preferably designed for an iPhone touch screen and not just copying and pasting from the handheld software.

### 1/5 — iPhone 17

*2026-01-28*

Loved the app used it on a daily basis till I got new phone iPhone 17 pro now I can’t use app said not compatible

### 1/5 — App update removed important settings

*2025-11-06, version 13.0.0.31*

The latest update removed several settings, including the ability to disable missed “call” notifications. The support page still directs you to the settings to disable these, but there is no such setting. This makes it impossible to use if you have any downtime as you get bombarded with missed call notifications that you must acknowledge before using.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on 17 pro

*2025-10-08, version 13.0.0.31*

Was great app when I had it on my 15 pro but now it work work on the 17 pro because they haven’t updated their phone list to make the app compatible with the phone extremely annoying knows that the new phone was coming out and didn’t make it compatible to use on new 17 pro

### 1/5 — Not Working With iOS 18

*2024-09-27, version 12.3.1.17*

App stopped working once I upgraded to iOS 18. Been a week, no fix.

### 1/5 — iPhone 15 pro

*2023-10-13, version 11.3.0.23*

We need this update quickly!!

### 1/5 — Even app support errors out.

*2022-12-03, version 11.3.0.16*

Can’t even access the app support on the application page. No responses to complaints by developers shows lack of effort to fix issues, not acceptable for a service billed as a solution for first responders.

### 1/5 — Does not work with iPhone 14 Pro Max

*2022-11-02*

This does not work with iPhone Pro Max. Spoke with my FirstNet rep and they say hopefully by the end of year. Not very useful for a first responder.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

FINALLY!

### 5/5 — Secure

*2015-04-16, version 2.0*

Sweet!! I have a iPhone 6 and I can call my 5 Samsung Rygby III phones as a group or individually. Very clear on both ends. The app is very easy to set up.

### 5/5 — Superb

*2015-03-22, version 2.0*

Awesome improvement in battery life for an already great application.

### 5/5 — Better than old Nextel

*2013-07-29, version 1.0.0*

Walkie-talkie type function works great and without all the issues that came with the old Nextel phones. Love it!

### 5/5 — Wifi Fast

*2013-06-13, version 1.0.0*

I can't wait to use this when I travel internationally over wifi !

### 5/5 — Better than Direct Connect

*2013-06-13, version 1.0.0*

The service is much better than Nextel so far. The only suggestion I would make is to find a way to conserve power because this is a big drain on the battery.

### 5/5 — Quick, Easy, and Useful

*2013-06-11, version 1.0.0*

Been great communicating with my crew today. Instant response and works with my bluetooth:-)

### 5/5 — Great Reponse

*2013-06-10, version 1.0.0*

Thank you AT&T for your fast response for the iOS community. Glad this is finally available. Working great so far.

### 5/5 — Finally some "real" PTT on the iPhone

*2013-06-09, version 1.0.0*

There are a lot of Push To Talk apps out there, and generally they work pretty well for personal use. A business usually needs a lot more though in terms of being able to manage lots of users, do large group calls etc. so that's why "serious" PTT systems like Nextel have done so well this far. This AT&T app is the first "real" business-quality PTT system on the iPhone and it's about time. It's not as loud as it would be on phones designed for PTT so it's not for noisy environments. But other than that, using the PTT on 3G, LTE and Wi-Fi so far has been great, and much needed for iPhone users.
